Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The invention relates to a plug for an electrical connector according to the preamble of claim 1.

Electrical plug connections are intended to be connected via their two plugs (socket part and plug-in part), e.g. to establish a re-releasable electrical connection between an electrical line and a further electrical line or between an electrical line and an electrical unit.

A known connector consists of a metallic contact with crimp or solder joint, metallic knives (pins), two connector housings made of plastic (Thermoplastic) as well as sealing elements (elastomers) and additional securing elements for the contacts, so-called secondary locks. One connector of the connector is a so-called harness connector, which may additionally have security elements such as secondary locks. The other plug of the connector is a so-called coupling plug, which consists of at least three parts, namely connector housing, contact carrier lower part and secondary locking element. These three parts mean that three injection tools must be present to make the parts, and that the three parts must be joined together to form the coupling plug.

It will be on the US 2002/0076992 A1 referenced, which discloses all the features of the preamble.

Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of the invention

It is the object of the invention to further reduce the number of parts in a plug of the type mentioned.

This object is achieved by a plug with the features of claim 1.

The plug according to the invention comprises only two plastic parts (for example thermoplastic), namely the contact chamber housing and the secondary locking element, which has a double function. On the one hand it serves as secondary locking of the electrical contacts (knives or pins) received in the plug, and on the other hand it forms a part of the chamber wall (for example the fourth face) of the contact chamber in the contact chamber housing. This makes it possible to produce the contact chamber housing in one piece in the injection molding process in the plug. In the plug an internal and / or external coding is preferably integrated. Due to the two-part construction of the plug according to the invention, the previously required third plastic part is saved, so that production and assembly of the third plastic part omitted in the plug.

Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the subject invention are the description, the drawings and claims removed.

Fig. 5a shows a longitudinal section through the nested coupling and harness connector 2, 4. The harness connector 4 has corresponding mating contacts 26 , in which engage the blades 15 of the coupling plug 2. Outside of the socket 6 is still a locking lug 27 is provided for locking the coupling plug 2 with the harness connector 4. As in Fig. 5b 2, the secondary locking element 3 has two locking protrusions 28 protruding forwardly and the scanning element 5 of the wiring harness connector 4 has a scanning arm 29 . Only when the secondary locking element 3 is in its locking position, the Abtastarm 29 can engage between the two locking projections 28 and so the connector between the coupling and harness connector 2, 4 are formed.

Fign. FIGS. 6a, 6b show the coupling plug 2 with two differently shaped external codes 22, and FIGS. 7a, 7b show the coupling plug 2 with two different inner codings 30. These codings 22, 30 in conjunction with a corresponding Gegencodierung (not shown) of the harness connector 4 are used to prevent confusion when multiple plugs of the same type are used in a system.
