Description

  • The invention relates to a device with a data storage device and a support body according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a device with a designed as a writing instrument supporting body is known from the DE 202 09 529 U1 , In this known multifunction device, it is necessary to customize the support body specifically for receiving the data storage device.
  • Out DE 90 17 004 U1 is a writing instrument with an integrated or patched database module known.
  • The DE 94 08 373 U1 discloses an elongate clip shoe for retrofitting to a clip of a writing instrument for optical discrimination of various writing instruments.
  • From the DE 298 02 538 U1 a ring collar for detachable connection with a housing of a writing instrument is known.
  • The US 6,618,243 B 1 describes a device with a USB stick as a data storage device with a data memory and an interface device and with a support body in the form of a plug-in housing, which has a clip.
  • It is an object of the present invention, a device of the type mentioned in such a way that a substantially unchanged, not specifically adapted to the data storage device Supporting body can be used. This object is achieved by a device having the features specified in claim 1.
  • According to the invention it was recognized that there are a variety of different support body, which are held in total by a clip holder. In addition to writing instruments include, for example, a cosmetic pencil, a mobile phone, an MP3 player, a piece of jewelry, a PDA, a dictaphone or a knife for possible such support bodies. To come from such a support body, the device according to the invention, it is only necessary to make either adaptations to the clip or provide a holder for such a clip on the support body.   • An embodiment according to claim 2 causes the data storage device after removal from the cap separately and freely present and thus z. B. can be used by plugging in the interface device.
  • An alternative to this is the embodiment according to claim 3. This is used in particular for lightweight support bodies. The protective cap is preferably secured via a securing band on the housing of the data storage device or on the support body.
  • An arrangement of the interface device according to claim 4 ensures its plug-in use.
  • An arrangement according to claim 5 facilitates the use of the data storage device.
  • A latching connection according to claim 6 can be produced inexpensively. If a clip is already provided on the support body, only latching holes, for example, need to be introduced into the latter in order to produce the support-body-side part of the latching connection.
  • An embodiment according to claim 7 requires in many cases no structural change to the support body.
  • An embodiment according to claim 8 ensures a maintenance of a structural unit of data storage device and support body both in a rest as well as in an example required for insertion of the interface device operating position of the data storage device. The data storage device can be permanently connected to the support body.
  • A clip according to claim 9, which may for example be made of a flexible wire, leads to a particularly simple embodiment of the device. Again, the data storage device can be permanently connected to the support body.
  • A writing instrument usually has a clip, so that the embodiment according to claim 10 can be implemented particularly inexpensively.
  • Embodiments of the interface device according to claim 11 lead to a particularly compact device.
  • A wireless data transmission according to claim 12 does not require special provisions for pluggability of the interface device.
  • The advantages of a device according to claims 13 and 14 correspond to those which have already been explained above with reference to the device in claims 1 to 12. The devices according to claims 13 and 14 can be adapted to virtually any support body.

  • One in the Fig. 1 All in all designated 1 multifunction device has a data storage device 2 with a data storage, which is housed in a storage enclosure 3. The data storage device 2 has an interface device 4 connected to the storage case 3.
  • The data store is a memory chip with a storage capacity of, for example, 1 GB. Other storage capacities are also possible, which can be accommodated in a storage housing with a maximum dimension of 5 cm, 2 cm width and 1 cm height.
  • In the interface device 4 of the device 1 according to Fig. 1 it is a USB (Universal Serial Bus) connector. Other types of interface devices are possible, such as FireWire connectors. The interface device 4 may also be designed for wireless data transmission and be, for example, an infrared or blue tooth interface.
  • The interface device 4 is inserted into a receptacle of a protective cap 5 for the interface device 4. The storage housing 3 and the protective cap 5 are made of the same plastic material, which can be designed in particular transparent and, for example, colored transparent.
  • The protective cap 5 is connected via a clip 6 with a support body 7. The protective cap 5 can be integrally formed on the clip 6, so for example, be integrally connected to the clip 6 as a plastic component. In the support body 7 is in the illustrated embodiment is a writing instrument. The writing instrument may, for example, be a ballpoint pen, a mechanical pencil, a felt-tip pen, a rollerball pen or a fountain pen. Other support bodies are possible. The support body 7 can also be, for example, a piece of jewelry, a mobile telephone, an MP3 player, a PDA, a cosmetic pencil or a dictating machine.
  • The clip 6 serves to hold the device 1 as a whole. About the clip 6, the device 1 may be attached, for example, to a shirt or jacket pocket or on a note pad.
  • To use the data storage device 2, the storage case 3 is subtracted from the protective cap 5, so that the interface device 4 is exposed and can be plugged into a corresponding counterpart, for example, an external computer. If the interface device 4 is designed for wireless data transmission, the memory housing 3 may get stuck in the protective cap 5.
  • Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of a multi-functional device 1. Components that correspond to those described above with reference to the Fig. 1 have the same reference numbers and will not be discussed again in detail.
  • In the device 1 according to Fig. 2 the storage housing 3 is in particular integrally connected to the clip 6.   • Fig. 3 shows a data storage device 2, which in the embodiments of the Fig. 1 and 2 and can also be used in the embodiments of the device 1 described below.
  • Fig. 4 shows a further embodiment of a multi-functional device 1. Components that correspond to those described above with reference to the Fig. 1 to 3 have the same reference numbers and will not be discussed again in detail.
  • In the execution after Fig. 4 is, similar to the execution after Fig. 2 , the storage enclosure 3 connected to the clip 6.   • In the execution after Fig. 5 the protective cap 5 is connected via a securing band 10 to the storage housing 3. The securing band 10 may be a plastic band, which is formed on the one hand on the storage housing 3 and on the other hand on the protective cap 5. After removing the protective cap 5 from the interface device 4, the protective cap 5 therefore remains captively connected to the storage housing 3.
  • 6 and 7 show a further embodiment of a multi-functional device 1. Components that correspond to those already above with reference to the Fig. 1 to 5 have the same reference numbers and will not be discussed again in detail.
  • In the execution of the 6 and 7 the data storage device 2 is connected via a pivot joint 11 with the clip 6. The data storage device 2 can be in a in the Fig. 6 shown rest position between the clip 6 and the support body 7 may be arranged. In this rest position, the clip 6 in particular covers the interface device 4 of the data storage device 2, so that the latter is also protected without a protective cap.
  • The pivot joint 11 may be designed so that the data storage device 2 is fixed in the rest position, for example via a spring-biased tongue and groove arrangement. Swung out of the rest position, the data storage device 2 can then be swung out by overcoming a securing force after disengaging the tongue / groove arrangement.
  • A pivot axis 12, which in the 6 and 7 runs perpendicular to the plane, penetrates the support body 7.
