Abstract

A stackable piece of flatware (1) consists of a handle (2) and a functional element (3) molded on it. In order to achieve the highest possible stability, the handle (2) of the piece of flatware (1) is shaped as a partition (4) with two longitudinal ridges (6, 6') positioned at the edges of both sides (4a, 4b), resulting in essence in an H-shaped profile. In order to add stability, a ridge (5) is positioned at the opposite longitudinal end of the handle (2) at the end part of the functional element (3) on both sides of the partition (4a, 4b). The ridge (5) that is positioned at the end and the two longitudinal ridges (6, 6') on the two sides (4a, 4b) are designed in such a way that during the stacking of the pieces of flatware (1) according to the invention, the ridge (5) on the end and the longitudinal ridges (6, 6') of the first side (4a) of a piece of flatware (1) engage in a positive fit with the end ridge (5) and with the longitudinal ridges (6, 6') of the second side (4b) of the additional piece of flatware (1) that is added in the direction of stacking.

Description

Stapelbares Besteckteil Stackable cutlery
Beschreibungdescription
Technisches GebietTechnical field
The invention relates to a stackable cutlery part with a handle with a wall and a functional element molded onto the handle, according to the preamble of the independent claim.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
Plastic cutlery, in particular knives, spoons and forks, are widely used, either as disposable cutlery for one-time use or in places where plastic cutlery is preferred over metal cutlery for weight or safety reasons, for example in aircraft. Since the cutlery parts are made relatively thin-walled for reasons of cost and weight, adequate stability is achieved by appropriate shaping. For example, handles with a T, H, S or U-shaped cross section are common.
It may be desirable to stack several cutlery elements, for example to simplify the creation of packaging units, or for space-saving storage, in particular of cutlery parts for multiple use. The prior art contains various solutions for the design of stackable cutlery parts with a U-shaped cross section.
DieEP 0'129'495 A2, for example, shows stackable cutlery items in the form of spoons, knives and forks, the handles of which have an essentially U-shaped cross section. The handle is designed in such a way that the convex side of a handle can be positively arranged in the concave side of another identical handle. A large number of cutlery items can be stacked in this way. The
Zudem können sich die einzelnenThe shape of the cutlery and the achievable stack density is limited due to the U-shaped shape of the handle. In addition, the individual
Besteckteile aufgrund der Keilform der Griffe verklemmen.Clamp cutlery parts due to the wedge shape of the handles.
Der Benutzer muss jeweils ein Besteckteil von der Verpackungseinheit durch Krafteinwirkung irreversibel wegbrechen, womit diese Lösung für wiederverwendbare Besteckteile prinzipiell nicht geeignet ist.EP 1'514'497 A1 shows stackable cutlery parts with a U-shaped cross section, in which projections on the concave side of the handle snap into recesses on the convex side of an identical handle can be. A larger number of identical cutlery items can be positively connected to a packaging unit after manufacture. The user must irreversibly break away a piece of cutlery from the packaging unit by the application of force, which means that this solution is in principle not suitable for reusable cutlery parts.
Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention
The object of the invention is to provide stackable cutlery parts of the type mentioned at the outset, which does not have the above-mentioned and other disadvantages, and in particular allows a high stacking density with at the same time minimal material consumption.
These and other objects are achieved by a cutlery part according to the invention in accordance with the independent claim. Further preferred embodiments are given in the dependent claims.
A cutlery part according to the invention consists of a handle and a functional element formed thereon, which defines the use of the cutlery part. The most common cutlery items are of course a spoon, fork and knife. In order to achieve the greatest possible stability, the handle of the cutlery part according to the invention is designed as a wall with longitudinal ribs arranged on both sides at the edges thereof, so that an essentially H-shaped cross section results. For additional stabilization, a terminal rib is arranged on the longitudinal end of the handle opposite the functional element on both sides of the wall. The terminal rib and the two longitudinal ribs on the two sides are designed such that when the cutlery parts according to the invention are stacked, the terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs of the first side of a cutlery part form fit into the terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs of the second side of the further cutlery part adjoining it in the stacking direction intervention.
The terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs of the handle of a cutlery part according to the invention are advantageously designed such that the ribs have a first bevel on the first side of the wall or of the handle on the outer edge, that is to say on the edge of the ribs facing away from the wall. On the second On the side of the wall or of the handle, the terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs have a second bevel on an inner edge facing the wall. This advantageous embodiment facilitates the automatic centering of the individual cutlery parts according to the invention when stacking. With such a solution, the requirements for the necessary precision of manufacturing the cutlery parts according to the invention are also lower, which is advantageous for cost reasons.
In an even more advantageous embodiment of a cutlery part according to the invention, the angle of inclination of the second bevel with respect to the plane of the wall is smaller than the angle of inclination of the first bevel with respect to the plane of the wall. This has the additional advantageous effect that the points of contact of cutlery parts according to the invention stacked on one another are limited to the outer edge of the ribs on the first side. This makes it easier to separate the individual parts and the risk of jamming is even lower.

Ausführung der ErfindungImplementation of the invention
Auf der ersten 4a und der zweiten 4b Seite der Wandung 4 des Griffs 2 sind randständig Längsrippen 6, 6' angeformt.FIG. 1 explains the construction of a cutlery part 1 according to the invention on the basis of a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle 2 of the cutlery part 1. On the first 4a and the second 4b side of the wall 4 of the handle 2, longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'are formed at the edges.
As can be seen from Figure 1a, the longitudinal ribs are designed such that when the cutlery parts 1, 1 'according to the invention are stacked, the ribs 6, 6' of the first side 4a of the one cutlery part 1 fit into the ribs 6, 6 'of the second side 4b of the intervene in another piece of cutlery T. The same applies to the terminal ribs, which are not visible in the cross section.
Analog können natürlich auch die Längsrippen der zweiten Seite 4b auf der Wandung 4 aufstehend ausgestaltet seinFigures 2 and 2a show a further embodiment of a cutlery part 1 according to the invention, in cross section through the handle 2. The longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'are arranged perpendicular to the wall. The longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'of the first side 4a are offset inwards relative to the longitudinal ribs 6, 6' of the second side 4b. When the cutlery parts 1, 1 'according to the invention are stacked, the longitudinal ribs 6, 6' of the first side 4a of one cutlery part 1 stand on the wall 4 of the second cutlery part 1 '. Analogously, the longitudinal ribs of the second side 4b can of course also be designed to stand up on the wall 4
In this case, the longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'of the first side 4a have a first bevel 7a on the outer edge 8, and the longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'of the second side 4b a second bevel 7b. As shown, the angle of inclination α of the first bevel 7a with respect to the plane of the wall 4 is greater, but not mandatory, than the angle of inclination β of the second bevel 7b with respect to the plane of the wall 4. In order to avoid undercuts, β should be at least 90 °. FIG. 3a shows two cutlery parts 1, 1 'from FIG. 3 in a stacked state. The longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'of the second face 4b of the cutlery part 1 lying on 7a further cutlery item 1 1, only with the inner edge 9 on the first bevel. In an alternative embodiment, the angle of inclination α, β can also be selected in reverse, so that the angle of inclination α of the first bevel 7a is smaller than the angle of inclination β of the second bevel 7b.
In order to enable the cutlery parts to be easily removed from the mold when manufacturing the plastic cutlery parts according to the invention, for example by means of injection molding, all the ribs are preferably designed such that they have no undercut.
Das gezeigte Besteckteil 1 besteht aus einem Griff 2 und einem Funktionsteil 3, in diesemFIG. 4 (a) shows an exemplary design of a cutlery part 1 according to the invention, using the example of a knife, in a view of the second side 4b.
