Abstract

A water closet bowl, comprising a main body (1), made of a ceramic or other material, which main body (1) delimits the main cavity (10) of the water closet bowl, characterised in that the main body (1) is provided internally thereof with a housing chamber (2) for housing a brush, the housing chamber (2) being in communication with the main cavity (10).

Description

The invention relates to a sanitary appliance being a water closet bowl.
In particular, the invention relates to a bowl found in a bathroom, i.e. a water closet bowl, with an incorporated disappearing brush, self-cleaning-hygienising, made in two pieces. This invention enables an object to be eliminated from the bathroom, i.e. the brush and its container, which is particularly unhygienic and dangerous, especially in the presence of small children.
The aim of the invention, then, is to respond to the need for greater hygiene, space and practicalness, by eliminating a potentially unhygienic object from the bathroom (with all the more reason in the presence of small children) and also an object which is not aesthetically pleasing.
Further aims and advantages of the invention will better emerge from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment thereof, made herein below with reference to the accompanying figures of the drawings, provided by way of non-limiting example, in which:

figure 1 is a schematic view in section, made along a median vertical plane of the bowl of the invention;
figure 2 is a schematic view of the seat of the bowl of the invention;
figure 3 is a schematic view of the seat lid of the bowl of the invention;
figure 4 is a schematic view from above of the main body of the bowl of figure 1.

With reference to the figures of the drawings, the sanitary bowl of the present invention comprises a main body 1, made of ceramic material or another material, which delimits the main cavity 10 of the sanitary bowl. The main body 1 is provided internally thereof with housing chamber 2 predisposed to receive a brush. The housing chamber 2 is in communication with the main cavity 10.
The idea consists in modifying the traditional design of the bathroom bowl, providing it, preferably in the posterior part of the main ceramic body, with the housing chamber 2, communicating with the inside of the bowl, i.e. with the main cavity 10. The traditional external shape, and size, are not modified if not in a way which is totally irrelevant in the posterior part.
The housing chamber 2 is predisposed to receive flushing water during a flushing of the main cavity. In effect, each time the toilet is flushed, i.e. the normal flush in the main cavity generally provided in sanitary installations in the prior art, the specially-measured flush water also flows into the housing chamber 2 of the brush, keeping the brush and chamber in perfectly hygienic conditions.
In the bowl of the invention, the main body can comprise a chamber 4, connected to the housing chamber 2, predisposed to contain a hygienising product.
The chamber 4 afforded in the bowl illustrated in figure 1 is connected to the housing chamber 2 of the brush and consequently to the main cavity 10. It allows insertion and dosing of the cleaning products internally of the bowl.
The communication between the housing chamber 2 and the main cavity 10 is preferably achieved by means of a connection channel 5 which opens internally of the main cavity 10 at a higher level than the water level 12 internally of the main cavity 10 itself. The water will never exit the chamber 4 even should the brush not be contained in the housing therefor. In other words, the inlet of the connection channel 5 is at a higher level with respect to the circulation of the water in the bowl. Further, the diameter of the outlet hole of the water from the housing chamber 2 is greater than that of the inlet hole of the flush water. Thanks to this, the water cannot exit from the housing chamber even should the brush not be contained therein.
The connection channel 5 opens at the base of the housing chamber 2 of the brush with the aim of preventing water from stagnating there. Further, and for the same reason, it is inclined downwards in the direction of the opening on the main cavity 10, such as to facilitate water flow from the housing chamber 2 to the main cavity 10.
The brush is preferably composed of a first part 3a and a handle 3b. The first part 3a is entirely insertable internally of the housing chamber 2. The first part 3a comprises an upper skirt 3c predisposed to occlude the housing chamber 2. In substance, the skirt 3c, predisposed on the upper part of the first part 3a of the brush, functions at a cap for the housing chamber 2 of the brush, as can be seen in figure 1.
The first part 3a and the handle 3b of the brush are connected to one another by a rapid-attachment. The rapid-attachment comprises a hole for hooking the handle 3b arranged at the upper skirt 3c of the first part 3a. At moment of use, the first part 3a of the brush joins the handle 3b via the rapid attachment.
The bowl of the invention comprises a covering lid 6 and a seat 7, shaped such as not to interfere with the accessibility of the housing chamber 2. The bowl exhibits an inlet hole 11 at a centre of the two hooking points of the seat 7 and lid 6; this inlet hole 11 constitutes the entry to the housing chamber 2 of the brush, as can be seen in figure 4. Both the seat 7 and the lid 6, illustrated in figures 2 and 3, are thus modified with respect to the prior art in order to facilitate insertion, extraction and efficient and rapid use of the brush.
The lid 6 is further predisposed for temporary fixing, by means of joints or magnets, the handle 3b of the brush. To this end the lid 6 must be further modified with respect to the prior art, in order for the handle 3b to be located as described above.
Thanks to the above-described technical characteristics, on closing the lid 6, the brush remains totally and absolutely removed from view or hidden.

Claims

A water closet bowl, comprising a main body (1), made of a ceramic or other material, which main body (1) delimits a main cavity (10) of the bowl, characterised in that the main body (1) is provided internally thereof with a housing chamber (2) for housing a brush, the housing chamber (2) being in communication with the main cavity (10).
The bowl of claim 1, wherein the housing chamber (2) is predisposed to receive flush water when the main cavity (10) is flushed.
The bowl of claim 1, wherein the main body (1) comprises a chamber (4), connected to the housing chamber (2), predisposed to contain a hygienising product.
The bowl of one of the preceding claims, wherein the housing chamber (2) is in communication with the main cavity (10) via a connecting channel (5) which opens internally of the main cavity (10) at a higher level with respect to the water level (12) internally of the main cavity (10).
The bowl of one of the preceding claims, comprising a brush having a first part (3a) and a handle (3b), the first part (3a) being entirely insertable internally of the housing chamber (2), the first part (3a) comprising an upper skirt (3c) predisposed to obstruct the housing chamber (2).
The bowl of claim 5, wherein the first part (3a) and the handle (3b) of the brush are assemblable together by means of a rapid attachment comprising a hole for hooking the handle (3b) arranged at the upper skirt (3c) of the first part (3a).
The bowl of one of the preceding claims, comprising a lid (6) and a seat (7), characterised in that the lid (6) and the seat (7) are shaped such as not to interfere with access to the housing chamber (2).
The bowl of claim 7, wherein the lid (6) is predisposed for temporary fastening of the handle (3b) of the brush by means of joints or magnets.
