Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft eine klebrige Kunststofffaser mit einem nicht klebrigen Kern und einer klebrigen Außenhülle.
Bei Klebstoffen, insbesondere auch bei Haftklebstoffen, ist sowohl eine gute Haftung zum zu verklebenden Substrat (gute Adhäsion) als auch eine ausreichende innere Fes- tigkeit in der Klebstoffschicht (Kohäsion) gewünscht. Bei Adhäsion und Kohäsion handelt es sich um entgegengesetzte anwendungstechnische Eigenschaften. Maßnahmen, die eine Verbesserung der Adhäsion bewirken, führen im allgemeinen zu einer Verschlechterung der Kohäsion.
Neue Klebstoffe bzw. Klebstoffsysteme sollen möglichst bessere anwendungstechnische Eigenschaften haben als die bisherigen Klebstoffe, insbesondere sollen sowohl die Adhäsion als auch die Kohäsion gut sein.
Darüber hinaus sind Klebstoff Systeme mit neuen anwendungstechnischen Eigenschaf- ten gewünscht. Für derartige Klebstoffe bieten sich dann entsprechend völlig neue Anwendungsmöglichkeiten.
Aufgabe der Erfindung waren daher Klebstoffsysteme mit verbesserten und neuartigen Eigenschaften.
Demgemäß wurden die eingangs definierten Kunststofffasern gefunden. Gefunden wurden auch Verfahren zur Herstellung und zur Verwendung dieser Kunststofffasern.
Die erfindungsgemäße Kunststofffaser besteht im wesentlichen aus einem nicht klebri- gen Kern und einer klebrigen Außenhülle.
Zum Kern
Der Kern enthält ein Polymer (im nachfolgenden kurz Kernpolymer genannt), welches thermoplastisch verformbar ist.
Es handelt sich insbesondere um einen Thermoplasten oder um einen mit einem Elastomeren modifizierten Thermoplasten (thermoplastisches Elastomer). Unter dem Begriff Kernpolymer werden insbesondere auch Mischungen von Polymeren, sog. PoIy- merblends verstanden. Durch Polymerblends werden Eigenschaften von unterschiedlichen Polymeren modifiziert; insbesondere wird die Reversibilität der Verformung von thermoplastischen Polymeren durch Zusatz von Elastomeren erhöht.
Das Kernpolymer hat bei 21 °C vorzugsweise eine Reißfestigkeit zwischen 5 und 60 MPa, besonders bevorzugt von 20 bis 60 MPa und vorzugsweise eine Reißdehnung zwischen 2 und 1500 %, besonders bevorzugt zwischen 300 und 700 % (gemessen nach Zugversuch ISO 527).
Wenn eine hohe Reversibilität der Verformung des Faserklebstoffs gewünscht ist, sollten bei Wiederholungen des Zugversuchs Dehnungswerte im Bereich von 20 und 100 %, bevorzugt zwischen 60 und 90 % des Messwertes des 1. Durchgangs erreicht werden, (recovery).
Als Kernpolymer in Betracht kommen durch radikalische Polymerisation erhältliche Polymere (Vinylpolymerisate), z. B. Polyolefine, wie Polyethylen, Polypropylen, PoIy- kondensate, z.B. Polyester, Polyamide, oder Polyaddukte, z.B. Polyurethane.
Bevorzugte Kernpolymere sind Polyamid, Polyamidcopolymere mit mehr als 20 Gew.- % Polyamidanteilen, Polypropylen, Polyester, wie Polyethylentherphthalat, Styrolhomo- oder copolymerisate, insbesondere Styrol-Butadiencopoymerisate.
Bevorzugt sind insbesondere thermplastische Styrol-Copolymerisate. Derartige Styrol- Copolymerisate bestehen vorzugsweise zu 5 bis 99 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt zu 10 bis 85 Gew.-%, aus Styrol.
Besonders bevorzugt sind Styrol-Butadiencopolymerisate, insbesondere Blockcopoly- merisate.
Bevorzugt sind Blockcopolymere mit der Blockfolge hart-weich-hart oder Stern- Blockcopolymere mit außenliegenden Hart- und innen liegenden Weichblöcken.
Der Gewichtsanteil der Weichblöcke sollte vorzugsweise größer als 50 gew.-% sein, bevorzugt 60 bis 90 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt 65 bis 85 Gew.-%.
Die Hartblöcke bestehen vorzugsweise aus reinem Polystyrol oder Copolymeren des Styrol mit alpha-Methylstyrol, kernhydriertem Styrol, para-Methylstyrol, para-tertiär- Butylstyrol oder 1 ,1 Diphenylether.
Die Weichphase ist vorzugsweise aufgebaut aus einem Polymer mit einer Glasübergangstemperatur kleiner oder gleich 20 °C, insbesondere kleiner 0 °C, besonders bevorzugt kleiner -20 °C. Weichphasen können bestehen aus Polybutadien, Polyisopren oder deren später hydrierten Polymeren, Polyisobuten, statistischen Copolymeren aus Styrol und Butadien, Styrol und Isopren, sowie Kombinationen dieser Monomeren.
Die Weichphase kann auch eine sich ändernde Monomerzusammensetzung entlang der Polymerkette aufweisen.
Die Blockfolgen (hart-weich)n+i und (hart-weich-hart)n+i sind ebenso Gegenstand der Erfindung, wobei n eine natürliche Zahl ist (n= 0,1 ,2,...).
Besonders bevorzugt sind lineare Styrol-Butadien-Blockcopolymere der allgemeinen Struktur S-(S/B)-S mit ein oder mehreren, zwischen den beiden S-Blöcken liegenden, eine statische Styrol/Butadien-Verteilung aufweisenden Blöcken (S/B)random. Solche Blockcopolymeren sind durch anionische Polymerisation in einem unpolaren Lösungsmittel unter Zusatz eines polaren Cosolvens oder eines Kaliumsalzes erhältlich, wie beispielsweise in WO 95/35335 bzw. WO 97/40079 beschrieben.
Als Vinylgehalt wird der relative Anteil an 1 ,2-Verknüpfungen der Dieneinheiten, bezo- gen auf die Summe der 1 ,2-, 1 ,4-cis und 1 ,4-trans-Verknüpfungen verstanden. Der 1 ,2- Vinylgehalt im Styrol-Butadien-Copolymerblock (S/B) liegt bevorzugt unter 20 %, insbesondere im Bereich von 10 bis 18 %, besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 12 - 16 %.
Besonders geeignete Styrol-Butadiencopolymerisate sind z.B. unter dem Handelsnamen Styroflex ® von BASF erhältlich.
Der nicht klebrige Kern kann neben dem Kernpolymer weitere Bestandteile enthalten, z.B. Zusatzstoffe wie Stabilisatoren, z.B. UV- und Wärmestabilisatoren, Füllstoffe, Pig- mente, z.B. TiO2, Farbstoffpigmente, Ruß, Carbon-Nanotubes , Glas, Kohlenstofffasern, Schichtsilikate, Farbstoffe. Vorzugsweise besteht der Kern zu mehr als 90 Gew.- % aus dem Kernpolymer.
Zur Außenhülle
Die Außenhülle besteht aus einem permanent klebrigen Klebstoff, d.h. aus einem Haftklebstoff. Es handelt sich insbesondere um einen Haftklebstoff, der bei der späteren Verklebung rückstandsfrei wieder ablösbar ist.
Insbesondere handelt es sich um einen permanent klebrigen Schmelzklebstoff (d.h. ein Klebstoff, der wasser- und lösemittelfrei verarbeitet wird).
Der Klebstoff hat bei 21 °C vorzugsweise eine Schälfestigkeit (als Maß für die Adhäsion) von mindestens 1 N/2,5 cm gemäß nachstehender Meßmethode. Vorzugsweise beträgt die Schälfestigkeit 1 bis 25, besonders bevorzugt 2 bis 20, ganz besonders bevorzugt 3 bis 15 N /2,5 cm.
Die Scherfestigkeit als Maß für die Kohäsion ist vorzugsweise größer als 10 Minuten gemäß nachstehender Meßmethode. Vorzugsweise beträgt die Scherfestigkeit 10 bis 1440 Minuten, besonders bevorzugt 100 bis 1000 Minuten, ganz besonders bevorzugt 200 bis 500 Minuten.
Zu den Prüfmethoden
Der Klebstoff wird mit 20 g/m2 (fest) auf Polethylenfolie beschichtet und 3 Minuten bei 90 °C getrocknet.
Zur der Bestimmung der Schälfestigkeit (Adhäsion) wird ein 2,5 cm breiter Prüfstreifen auf ein chromiertes V2A-Prüfblech geklebt und mit einer 1 kg schweren Rolle 1 mal angerollt. Er wird dann mit einem Ende in die oberen Backen einer Zug-Dehnungs- Prüfapparatur eingespannt. Der Klebestreifen wird mit 300 mm/min unter einem 180 ° Winkel von der Prüffläche (V2A-Stahl) abgezogen d.h. der Klebestreifen wurde umgebogen und parallel zum Prüfblech abgezogen und der dazu benötigte Kraftaufwand gemessen. Das Maß für die Schälfestigkeit ist die Kraft in N/2,5 cm, die sich als Durchschnittswert aus fünf Messungen ergab (entspricht AFERA Standard Methode). Die Schälfestigkeit wird 24 Stunden nach der Verklebung bestimmt.
Zur Bestimmung der Scherfestigkeit werden die Prüfstreifen mit einer verklebten Fläche von 25 mm2 auf ein chromiertes V2A-Prüfblech geklebt, mit einer 1 kg schweren Rolle 1 mal angerollt, 10 min gelagert (im Normklima, 1 bar, 21 °C) und anschließend hängend mit einem 0,5 kg Gewicht belastet (im Normklima, 1 bar, 21 °C). Das Maß für die Scherfestigkeit war die Zeit bis zum Abfallen des Gewichts im Minuten; es wird jeweils der Durchschnitt aus 5 Messungen berechnet (entspricht PSTC Standard Methode).
Der Klebstoff enthält als wesentlichen Bestandteil mindestens ein Bindemittel und ggb. weitere Zusatzstoffe.
Bei dem Bindemittel kann es sich insbesondere um ein synthetisches Polymer handeln (im nachfolgenden Klebstoff-Polymer genannt). Unter dem Begriff Klebstoff -Polymer sollen auch Mischungen von unterschiedlichen Polymeren verstanden werden, insbe- sondere kann es sich dabei um Mischungen von nicht-klebrigen Polymeren mit klebrigen Polymeren oder mit sonstigen Polymeren, die eine Klebrigkeit der Mischung bewirken, handeln.
Als Klebstoff-Polymer kommen radikalisch polymerisierte Polymere, Polyester oder Polyaddukte in Betracht. Sofern es sich um nicht klebrige Polymere handelt, wird die obige Klebrigkeit (Schälfestigkeit) durch Zusatz von klebrigmachenden Harzen oder Weichmachern eingestellt.
Genannt seien z.B. Styrolcopolymerisate, insbesondere Styrol-Butadiencopoly- merisate, Ethylen-Vinylacetat-Copolymere, Polyurethane, Polyisobutylene und nicht kristallinen Polyolefine, welche einen entsprechenden Gehalt von Weichmachern oder klebrig machenden Harzen aufweisen.
Insbesondere kommen auch Blockcopolymere in Betracht.
Im Falle von Styrolblockcopolymeren können z.B. radikalisch polymerisierte Styrol- Butadien Copolymere verwendet werden, die einen Butadiengehalt von größer gleich 50 Gew.-%, bevorzugt größer gleich 60 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt größer gleich 80 Gew.-% haben.
Styrol-Butadien Copolymere können z.B. Di-, Tri- oder Multiblockcopolymere sein, de- ren Weichphasenanteil bevorzugt größer gleich 60 Gew.-% ist.
Bevorzugt sind insbesondere Diblockcopolymere und deren Mischungen mit Tri- , MuI- ti- oder Sternblockcopolymeren.
Im Falle der Mitverwendung von Weichmachern in der Außenhülle, werden Weichmachern verwendet (d.h. mit den Polymeren gemischt), welche die Eigenschaften des Kernpolymers wenig oder nicht beeinflussen. Besonders bevorzugt sind Kombinationen von polarer Weichphase im Faserkern und einer unpolaren Weichphase in der klebrigen Hülle oder vice versa.
Insbesondere ist das Klebstoff-Polymer aufgebaut aus radikalisch polymerisierbaren Verbindungen (Monomere). Vorzugsweise besteht es zu mindestens 40 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt zu mindestens 60 Gew.-%, ganz besonders bevorzugt zu mindestens 80 Gew.-% aus sogenannten Hauptmonomeren.
Die Hauptmonomeren sind ausgewählt aus C1-C20-Alkyl(meth)acrylaten, Vinylestern von bis zu 20 C-Atome enthaltenden Carbonsäuren, Vinylaromaten mit bis zu 20 C- Atome, ethylenisch ungesättigten Nitrilen, Vinylhalogeniden, Vinylethern von 1 bis 10 C-Atome enthaltenden Alkoholen, aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen mit 2 bis 8 C- Atomen und 1 oder 2 Doppelbindungen oder Mischungen dieser Monomeren.
Zu nennen sind z.B. (Meth)acrylsäurealkylester mit einem C1-C10-Alkylrest, wie Me- thylmethacrylat, Methylacrylat, n-Butylacrylat, Ethylacrylat und 2-Ethylhexylacrylat.
Insbesondere sind auch Mischungen der (Meth)acrylsäurealkylester geeignet.
Vinylester von Carbonsäuren mit 1 bis 20 C-Atomen sind z.B. Vinyllaurat, -stearat, Vi- nylpropionat, Versaticsäurevinylester und Vinylacetat.
Als vinylaromatische Verbindungen kommen Vinyltoluol a- und p-Methylstyrol, a-Butyl- styrol, 4-n-Butylstyrol, 4-n-Decylstyrol und vorzugsweise Styrol in Betracht. Beispiele für Nitrile sind Acrylnitril und Methacrylnitril.
Die Vinylhalogenide sind mit Chlor, Fluor oder Brom substituierte ethylenisch ungesättigte Verbindungen, bevorzugt Vinylchlorid und Vinylidenchlorid.
Als Vinylether zu nennen sind z.B. Vinylmethylether oder Vinylisobutylether. Bevorzugt wird Vinylether von 1 bis 4 C-Atome enthaltenden Alkoholen.
Als Kohlenwasserstoffe mit 2 bis 8 C-Atomen und ein oder zwei olefinischen Doppel- bindungen seien Butadien, Isopren und Chloropren, Ethylen oder Propylen genannt. Aus Butadien oder Isopren erhaltene Polymere oder Copolymere können auch nachträglich hydriert werden.
Als Hauptmonomere bevorzugt sind die C1- bis C10-Alkylacrylate und -methacrylate, insbesondere C1- bis C8-Alkylacrylate und -methacrylate, wobei die Acrylate jeweils besonders bevorzugt sind.
Ganz besonders bevorzugt sind Methylacrylat, Ethylacrylat, n-Butylacrylat, n-Hexyl- acrylat, Octylacrylat und 2-Etyhlhexylacrylat sowie Mischungen dieser Monomere.
Neben den Hauptmonomeren kann das Polymer weitere Monomere enthalten, z.B. Monomere mit Carbonsäure, Sulfonsäure oder Phosphonsäuregruppen. Bevorzugt sind Carbonsäuregruppen. Genannt seien z.B. Acrylsäure, Methacrylsäure, Itaconsäu- re, Maleinsäure oder Fumarsäure.
Weitere Monomere sind z.B. auch Hydroxylgruppen enthaltende Monomere, insbesondere C1-C10-Hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate, (Meth)acrylamid und Ureidogruppen enthaltende Monomere wie Ureido(meth)acrylate.
Als weitere Monomere seien darüber hinaus Phenyloxyethylglykolmono- (meth-
)acrylat, Glydidylacrylat, Glycidylmethacrylat, Amino- (ιmeth-)acrylate wie 2-Aminoethyl- (meth-)acrylat genannt.
Monomere, die außer der Doppelbindung noch weitere funktionelle Gruppen tragen, z.B. Isocyanat-, Amino-, Hydroxy-, Amid- oder Glycidyl-, können z.B. die Haftung auf Substraten verbessern. In Betracht kommen insbesondere auch cyclische Lactame wie N-Vinylpyrrolidon oder N-Vinylcaprolactam.
Das Polymer ist bevorzugt zu mindestens 40 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt zu mindestens 60 Gew.-% und ganz besonders bevorzugt zu mindestens 80 Gew.-% aus C1-C20-Alkyl(meth)acrylaten, insbesondere den oben genannten Alkyl(meth)acrylaten aufgebaut, es handelt sich daher um ein Polyacrylat.
Besonders bevorzugt sind Klebstoffe, deren Klebstoff-Eigenschaften durch photochemische Vernetzung, z. B. durch Bestrahlung mit Elektronenstrahlen oder UV Licht eingestellt werden können.
Vorzugsweise handelt es sich bei dem Klebstoff-Polymer daher um ein durch Bestrahlung mit energiereichem Licht z.B. Elektronenstrahlen oder vorzugsweise UV-Licht vernetzbares Polymer.
Entsprechend vernetzbar ist das Polymer z.B. wenn Wasserstoffprotonen von der Polymerhauptkette photochemisch, insbesondere auch unter Verwendung eines Fotoinitiators oder durch Elektronenstrahlen abgetrennt werden können, so dass ein Radikal entsteht, welches weitere chemische Reaktionen eingehen kann.
Vorzugsweise enthält der Klebstoff einen Fotoinitiator.
Beim Fotoinitiator kann es sich z.B. um sogenannte α-Spalter handeln, das sind Fotoinitiatoren, bei denen eine chemische Bindung gespalten wird, so dass 2 Radikale entstehen, die die weiteren Vernetzungs- oder Polymerisationsreaktionen initiieren.
Genannt seien z.B. Acylphosphinoxide (Lucirin® Marken der BASF), Hydroxyalkylphe- none (z.B. Irgacure® 184), Benzoinderivate, Benzilderivate, Dialkyloxyacetophenone.
Insbesondere kann es sich um sogenannte H-Abstraktoren handeln, welche ein Was- serstoffatom von der Polymerkette ablösen, z.B. handelt es sich hierbei um Photoinitiatoren mit einer Carbonylgruppe. Diese Carbonylgruppe schiebt sich in eine C-H Bindung unter Ausbildung einer C-C-O-H Gruppierung.
Genannt seien hier insbesondere Acetophenon, Benzophenon und deren Derivate.
Es können beide Klassen von Fotoinitiatoren allein oder auch im Gemisch verwendet werden. Vorzugsweise handelt es sich um H-Abstraktoren als Fotoinitiator.
In einer besonderen Ausführungsform ist der Photoinitiator oder zumindest einer der Fotoinitiatoren, falls ein Gemisch verwendet wird, an das Klebstoff-Polymer gebunden.
Besonders bevorzugt handelt es sich um einen Fotoinitiator, welcher durch radikalische Copolymerisation in die Polymerkette eingebaut ist. Vorzugsweise enthält der Fotoinitiator dazu eine Acryl- oder (Meth)acrylgruppe.
Geeignete copolymerisierbare Fotoinitiatoren sind Acetophenon- oder Benzophenon- derivate, welche mindestens eine, vorzugsweise eine, ethylenisch ungesättigte Gruppe enthalten. Bei der ethylenisch ungesättigten Gruppe handelt es sich vorzugsweise um eine Acryl- oder Methacrylgruppe.
Die ethylenisch ungesättigte Gruppe kann direkt an den Phenylring des Acetophenon- oder Benzophenonderivats gebunden sein. Im allgemeinen befindet sich zwischen Phenylring und ethylenisch ungesättigter Gruppe eine Spacergruppe (Abstandshalter).
Die Spacergruppe kann z.B. bis 100 C-Atome enthalten.
Geeignete Acetophenon- oder Benzophenonderivate sind z.B. in EP-A-346 734, EP-A- 377199 (1. Anspruch), DE-A-40 37 079 (1. Anspruch) und DE-A-38 44 444 (1. Anspruch) beschrieben und sind durch diesen Verweis auch in der vorliegenden Anmeldung offenbart. Bevorzugte Acetophenon- und Benzophenonderivate sind solche der Formel
worin R1 für einen organischen Rest mit bis zu 30 C-Atomen, R2 für ein H-Atom oder eine Methylgruppe und R3 für eine gegebenenfalls substituierte Phenylgruppe oder eine C1-C4-Alkylgruppe steht.
R1 steht besonders bevorzugt für eine Alkylengruppe, insbesondere für eine C2-C8- Alkylengruppe.
R3 steht besonders bevorzugt für eine Methylgruppe oder eine Phenylgruppe.
Der Klebstoff enthält vorzugsweise 0,0001 bis 0,5 mol, besonders bevorzugt 0,0002 bis 0,1 , ganz besonders bevorzugt 0,003 bis 0,01 mol des Fotoinitiators, bzw. der als Foto- initiator wirksamen, an das Polymer gebundenen Molekülgruppe, pro 100 g Klebstoff- Polymer.
Geeignete UV-vernetzbare Polymere sind unter dem Handelsnamen acResin ® von BASF erhältlich.
Die Glasübergangstemperatur (Tg) des Klebstoff-Polymeren beträgt vorzugsweise -65 bis +10 °C, besonders bevorzugt -65 bis 0 °C, ganz besonders bevorzugt -65 bis -10 °C, bzw. -65 bis -20 °C, in einer ganz besonders bevorzugten Ausführungsform beträgt die Glasübergangstemperatur -55 bis -30 °C, bzw. -50 bis -40 °C.
Die Glasübergangstemperatur des Polymeren lässt sich nach üblichen Methoden wie Differentialthermoanalyse oder Differential Scanning Calorimetrie (s. z.B. ASTM 3418/82, sog. "midpoint temperature" bestimmen.
Klebstoff- Polymere können durch Copolymerisation der Monomeren unter Verwendung der üblichen Polymerisationsinitiatoren sowie gegebenenfalls von Reglern hergestellt werden, wobei man bei den üblichen Temperaturen in Masse, in Emulsion, z.B. in Wasser oder flüssigen Kohlenwasserstoffen, oder in Lösung polymerisiert. Die Polyme- risation, z.B. Massepolymerisation kann auch in einem Extruder durchgeführt werden. Vorzugsweise werden die Polymeren durch Polymerisation der Monomeren in Lösungsmitteln (Lösungspolymerisation) hergestellt
Beim Klebstoff handelt es sich vorzugsweise um einen Schmelzklebstoff, der Wasser oder sonstige Lösemittel, z.B. aus der Lösungspolymerisation allenfalls nur in geringen Mengen enthält. Lösemittel aus der Lösungspolymerisation wird daher vorzugsweise abgetrennt.
Vorzugsweise enthält der Klebstoff weniger als 5 Gew.-Teile, insbesondere weniger als 2 bzw. 1 Gew.-Teil Wasser und/oder Lösemittel auf 100 Gew.-Teile Klebstoff-Polymer. Besonders bevorzugt ist der Klebstoff im wesentlichen frei von Wasser und sonstigen Lösemitteln.
Vorzugsweise enthält der Klebstoff mindestens einen Photoinitiator (s. oben). Soweit es sich dabei nicht um einen an das Klebstoff-Polymer gebundenen Photoinitiator handelt, kann der Photoinitiator dem Klebstoff-Polymer zu jeder Zeit zugesetzt werden.
Sofern es sich bei dem Klebstoff-Polymer um Mischungen handelt, kommen als Mischungskomponente sogenannte klebrigmachende Harze (Tackifier) in Betracht.
Tackifier sind z.B. Naturharze, wie Kolophoniumharze und deren durch Disproportio- nierung oder Isomerisierung, Polymerisation, Dimerisation, Hydrierung entstehenden Derivate. Diese können in ihrer Salzform (mit z.B. ein- oder mehrwertigen Gegenionen (Kationen) oder bevorzugt in ihrer veresterten Form vorliegen. Alkohole, die zur Ver- esterung verwendet werden, können ein- oder mehrwertig sein. Beispiele sind Methanol, Ethandiol, Diethylenglykol, Triethylenglykol, 1 ,2,3-Propanthiol, Pentaerythrit.
Bevorzugte Tackifier sind natürliche oder chemisch modifizierte Kolophoniumharze. Kolophoniumharze bestehen zum überwiegenden Teil aus Abietinsäure oder Abietin- säurederivaten.
Weitere Additive, welche dem Klebstoff zugesetzt werden können, sind z.B. Antioxidantien, Füllstoffe, Farbstoffe, Verlaufshilfsmittel.
Der Haftklebstoff, bzw. Schmelzklebstoff besteht insbesondere zu mehr als 40 Gew.- %, besonders bevorzugt zu mehr als 60 gew.-% und ganz besonders bevorzugt zu mehr als 80 Gew.-% aus dem Klebstoff-Polymer, worunter auch Mischungen unterschiedlicher Polymer zu verstehen sind (siehe oben).
Zum Faserklebstoff allgemein
Der Faserklebstoff hat die Form einer Faser. Die klebrige Außenhülle ist an den Kern gebunden. Die gesamte Faser ist über einen großen Temperaturbereich dehnbar, ohne dass sich die Außenhülle ablöst.
Die Kunststofffaser hat vorzugsweise einen Durchmesser von 8 μm bis 500 μm, be- sonders bevorzugt von 10 bis 100 μm hat.
Der Durchmesser des Kerns beträgt vorzugsweise 5 μm bis 497μm, besonders bevorzugt 7 bis 97μm.
Die Schichtdicke der Außenhülle ist vorzugsweise 3μm bis 100μm hat, besonders bevorzugt 5 bis 50μm, ganz besonders bevorzugt 10 bis 40μm.
Die Länge er Faser kann beliebig sein. Die Faser kann in Form von kurzen Faserstücken, z. B. mit einer Länge von 0,1 mm bis 10 cm vorliegen; die Faser kann aber auch als Endlos-Faser vorliegen, je nach der gewünschten weiteren Verarbeitung.
Verfahren zur Herstellung
Die Herstellung der Faser kann nach üblichen Methoden erfolgen. Zum Beispiel kann das Kernmaterial als Faser extrudiert werden und die Außenhülle durch übliche Be- schichtungsverfahren aufgebracht werden.
Ein besonders einfaches Verfahren ist die Coextrusion von Kernmaterial und des Materials für die Außenhülle.
Zur Coextrusion wird das Kernmaterial vorzugsweise auf Temperaturen zwischen 150 und 300 °C und das Material der Außenhülle auf Temperaturen zwischen 80 und
200 °C, besonders bevorzugt zwischen 100 und 180 °C, ganz besonders bevorzugt zwischen 1 10 und 150 °C aufgeheizt, bei diesen Temperaturen erfolgt dann auch die Coextrusion.
Vorzugsweise wird die erhaltene Kunststofffaser unmittelbar nach der Coextrusion zusätzlich verstreckt, wobei die Längenzunahme (Verstreckungsgrad) vorzugsweise 10 und 300 %, besonders bevorzugt 50 bis 250 % und ganz besonders bevorzugt 100 bis 200 % beträgt.
Falls es sich bei dem Klebstoff-Polymer um ein UV-vernetzbares Polymer handelt, erfolgt nach der Herstellung der Faser eine Bestrahlung mit energiereichem Licht, um so die gewünschten Klebeeigenschaften einzustellen.
Die Strahlungsenergie kann z. B. 10 mJ/cm2 bis 1500 mJ/cm2 bestrahlte Fläche betra- gen.
Verwendung der Kunststofffaser
Die Kunststofffaser kann für unterschiedlichste Zwecke Verwendung finden. Durch Kombination der Klebstoffeigenschaften mit den mechanischen Eigenschaften einer Faser, insbesondere einer hohen Elastizität und Reißfestigkeit erschließen sich völlig neue Anwendungen.
Die Faser kann z. B. zur Herstellung eines Flächengebildes, z.B. eines Faservlieses, verwendet werden. Derartige Flächengebilde sind klebrig, besitzen aber auch gleichzeitig eine hohe Elastizität. Die Flächengebilde können in ihren Abmessungen und Abständen zwischen den Fasern so ausgebildet sein, dass Durchlässigkeit z.B. für Gase und Flüssigkeiten besteht, unerwünschte Bestandteile aber zurückgehalten werden und an den Fasern haften.
Die Kunststofffaser eignet sich daher zur Herstellung von durchlässigen Schichten, z.B. durchlässige Vliese, Membrane, oder sonstigen textilen Flächengebilde, welche als Filter zur Abtrennung unterschiedlichster Materialien eingesetzt werden können. In Betracht kommen z.B. Staubfilter oder sonstige Flächengebilde zur Entfernung von dispergierten oder emulgierten Partikeln aus flüssigen oder gasförmigen Medien.
Weiterhin kann die Kunststofffaser zum Binden, Immobilisieren oder Verfestigen von kleinteiligen Gütern Verwendung finden. Flächengebilde aus der Faser können zum Transportieren oder Sortieren von Gütern Verwendung finden.
Claims
1. Klebrige Kunststofffaser mit einem nicht klebrigen Kern und einer klebrigen Aus- senhülle.
2. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Kern ein Polymer (im nachfolgenden kurz Kernpolymer genannt) enthält, welches bei 21 °C eine Reißfestigkeit zwischen 5 und 60 Mpa und eine Reißdehnung zwischen 2 und 1500 % hat (nach Zugversuch ISO 527).
3. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Kernpolymer um einen Thermoplast oder um einen Thermoplasten, der mit einem Elastomer modifiziert ist (thermoplastisches Elastomer) handelt.
4. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Kernpolymer um ein Styrolcopolymerisat handelt.
5. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekenn- zeichnet, dass der Kern zu mehr als 90 Gew.-% aus dem Kernpolymer besteht und ggb. noch Zusatzstoffe, z.B. Stabilisatoren, Füllstoffe, Carbo-nanotubes, Pigmente, Farbstoffe, enthalten kann.
6. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekenn- zeichnet, dass die Aussenhülle aus einem permanent klebrigen Klebstoff, d.h. aus einem Haftklebstoff, besteht.
7. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Klebstoff um einen permanent klebrigen Schmelzklebstoff handelt.
8. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Klebstoff, bzw. Schmelzklebstoff bei 21 °C eine Schälfestigkeit von mindestens 1 N/2,5 cm hat.
9. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Schmelzklebstoff als Bindemittel ein Polymer (im nachfolgenden Klebstoff-Polymer genannt) enthält, welches durch radikalische Polymerisation von ethylenisch ungesättigten Verbindungen erhältlich ist.
10. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es sich bei dem Klebstoff-Polymer um ein UV-vernetzbares Polymer handelt.

Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Klebstoff zu mehr als 40 Gew.-% aus dem Klebstoff-Polymer besteht und ggb. noch Zusatzstoffe, z.B. klebrigmachende Harze, Weichmacher, UV-Blocker, Antioxidantien, Farbstoffe oder Füllstoffe, enthalten kann.
12. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 11 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Kunststofffaser einen Durchmesser von 8 μm bis 500 μm hat.
13. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 12, dadurch gekenn- zeichnet, dass der Kern einen Durchmesser von 5 μm bis 497μm hat.
14. Klebrige Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Außenhülle eine Schichtdicke von 3 μm bis 100 μm hat.
15. Verfahren zur Herstellung der klebrigen Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kernmaterial und das Material für die Außenhülle coextrudiert werden.
16. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kernmaterial auf Temperaturen zwischen 150 und 300 °C und das Material der Außenhülle auf Temperaturen zwischen 80 und 200 °C aufgeheizt werden und bei diesen Temperaturen die Coextrusion erfolgt.
17. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 15 oder 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die erhal- tene Kunststofffaser unmittelbar nach der Coextrusion zusätzlich verstreckt wird, wobei die Längenzunahme (Verstreckungsgrad) vorzugsweise 10 bis 300 % beträgt.
18. Verwendung der Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17 zur Her- Stellung von durchlässigen Schichten, z. B. durchlässige Vliese, Membranen, textile Flächengebilde.
19. Verwendung der Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17 zum Binden, Immobilisieren oder Verfestigen von kleinteiligen Gütern.
20. Verwendung der Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17 zum Herstellen von gasdurchlässigen Flächengebilden mit großer Klebfläche, z. B. zur Herstellung von Staubfiltern oder Partikelfiltern.
21. Verwendung der Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17 zum Herstellen von elastischen Flächengebilden, die bei Anwendungstemperatur klebrig und/oder ablösbar sind, zum Transportieren und/oder Sortieren von Gütern.
22. Verwendung der Kunststofffaser gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 17 zum Herstellen von durchlässigen Flächengebilden mit großer Klebfläche zur Entfernung von dispergierten oder emulgierten Partikeln aus flüssigen oder gasförmigen Medien.
