Abstract
Description
- The object of the present invention is an elevating sliding window or door with a sealing arrangement, by means of a part which is a component of the guide through which the wings move, in addition to some joints with a special configuration which are placed on the actual wings of the sliding parts all along its perimeter.
- Due to its special configuration, the part which is a component of the guide prevents the interior part of the slide profile which is usually composed of aluminium from being at the ambient temperature, and therefore the thermal bridge is broken from the outside to the interior profile.
- In addition, the joints permit the closure between the window wing and the guide with at least a triple contact between the points of the joint and the points of the guide or the window wing, thus obtaining a sealed closure which avoids any entry of water, wind, or noise from outside,
- In the state of the art, elevating sliding windows or doors are well known of the type which includes a guide on which a wheel of the door or window slides, once this has been raised in respect of its closed position, see for
example DE 1 708 275 A1 . - In previous systems the sliding on the guide must not be prevented by any element which could cause friction between the door or window wing and the guide; nevertheless, in the resting position of the window there should be an element or sealing strip which enables sealed closing to prevent the entry of water, wind and noise from outside.
- It is therefore necessary to reach a compromise so that when the door or window wing is in resting mode there will be a sealed joint between the guide frame of the window and the wing, and when the wing is raised for sliding along the guide of the frame by means of its wheel, this sealed joint will not constitute an obstacle to this sliding.
- It is known from the state of the art some sealing elements in sliding windows and doors as the one disclosed in
DE 1906351 A1 , andEP 1568843 , wherein some sealing means are disclosed. InDE 1906351 A1 is disclosed a sealing joint comprising three extensions which are responsible for creating a sealing closure, equal to the sealing joint disclosed inEP 1568843 , nevertheless both inventions do not get the sealing closure as the one described in the present invention based on the precise shape of a guide rail of a frame profile and the location and orientation of the extensions of a sealing strip housed in the inner side of a frame profile on either side of the guide. - The applicant is unaware of the existence of any sealed joints in sliding doors or windows which provide sealed contact with at least three points between the joint and the guide or wing of the door or window in its resting position and which do not prevent the correct sliding of the wing along the guide in the elevated or open position of that wing.
- In addition, the applicant is unaware of the existence of profiles which form part of the guide and which prevent the interior part of the slide profile which is usually composed of aluminium, from being at ambient temperature, thus ensuring breakage of the thermal bridge between the outside and the interior profile.
- The object of the present invention refers to an elevating sliding window or door with a sealing arrangement, by means of a component which is part of a guide through which the wings move, in addition to some joints with a special configuration which are placed on the wings of the sliding parts all along its perimeter.
- The elevating sliding windows and doors are provided with at least two wings which form the door or window, and in which there is a resting or closed position, and an open or raised position for each of the wings.
- In the open or elevated position, the wing is able to slide along a guide due to one or various wheels present in the wing interior.
- The previous elements described are not exclusive to the present invention however; they are mentioned in order to subsequently focus on the essential nature of this invention.
- The wing of the door or window is provided with a sealed joint along its complete length, preferably both on the outside (the part which is exposed to meteorological phenomena such as rain or wind and to noises) and also in its interior (that which is on the interior side of the house).
- The sealing strip preferably presents a main body which is clipped or guided through an opposite groove situated along the profile both on its external and interior sides and three extensions emerge from this main body which are responsible for carrying out the sealed closure.
- In the resting or closed position of the wing, the sealing strip is distorted and makes contact with at least two planes of the door or window frame guide, in addition to another plane of the wing, along its whole perimeter and preferably in a double manner, both inside and out due to three extensions which originate from the main body of the sealing strip.
- In the elevated or open position of the wing, these contacts are released and at that point the sealing strip is free from stresses and therefore in its resting position.
- Furthermore, the window frame guide, in this case the guides of the window frame, as they are provided with at least two wings, may comprise the metal guides themselves to which each of the wings of an essentially U-shaped profile are joined, which is preferably situated between both guides and which presents a lower heat conductivity than the guides of the frame and the wings.
- In this way the essentially U-shaped profile prevents the interior wing profile from entering into contact with the outside temperature, thus establishing a breakage of the thermal bridge.
- The end of the wings of the essentially U-shaped profile which is preferably provided with at least two planes is in contact with the two points of the sealing strip in the resting or closed position of the wing.
- The other extreme point of the sealing strip, as mentioned, makes contact with the door or window wing.
- In this way it is possible to achieve total sealing between the outside and the interior of the window wings, and thus avoiding any direct contact between the frames on the inside of the house and the outside.
- To summarise, the object of the present invention refers to an elevating sliding window or door with a sealing arrangement according to
claim 1. - The present descriptive report is supplemented by a series of drawings illustrative of a preferred embodiment but not, however, restricting the invention in any way.
-
Figure 1 shows a vertical section of the window frame together with the two door or window wings which show the sealing elements of the invention when the interior wing is resting or closed and the external wing is raised or open. -
Figure 2 shows a horizontal section of the window frame together with the two door or window wings which show the sealing elements of the invention in the position shown inFigure 1 . -
Figure 3 shows various configurations of the door or window frame. - In the light of the foregoing, the present invention refers to an elevating sliding door or window with a sealing arrangement with which preferably total sealing is obtained between the exterior and the interior of the window wings and which prevents the wing frames in the interior from coming directly into contact with the outside.
- The elevating door and window is provided in this example of a preferred embodiment with two wings (1) which admit a resting or closed position and an open or elevated position.
- In the open or elevated position, each wing (1) is able to slide along a guide (2.1) of the frame profile (2) of the window due to one or various wheels (3) present in the interior of the frame (1.1) of the wing (1).
- The guides (2.1) of the frame profile (2) of the window comprise a section (2.1.1) of metal profile to which each of the flanges (5.1) of an essentially U-shaped profile is situated between both sections (2.1.1) of the metal profile and which has a lower heat conductivity than these (2.1.2) and the frames (1.1) of the wings (1).
- The frame (1.1) of the wing (1) of the door or window is provided with a sealing strip (4) along its entire perimeter both on the outside (1.1.1) and on the inside (1.1.2) of the frame (1.1) of the wing (1).
- Each sealing strip (4) comprises a main body (4.1) which is inserted in some grooves (1.3) oppositely situated along the external side (1.1.1) and the inside (1.1.2) of the frame (1.1) of the wing (1), and originating from this main body (4.1) three extensions (4.2) extend and thus creating the sealed closure.
- In the resting position of the wing (1) the three extensions (4.2) of the sealing strip (4) are distorted, two of these extensions (4.2) making contact with two planes (5.1.1, 5.1.2, 2.1.1.1, 2.1.1.2) inclined from each of the flanges (5.1) of the essentially U-shaped profile (5) and from the metal profile depending on the side of the wing (1), and the third extension (4.2) with another plane of the wing (1) along its entre profile, wherein the sealing strips (4) are placed in the inner side of each wing frame (1.1) on either side (1.1.1, 1.1.2) of the guide (2.1).
- The inclination of the planes (5.1.1, 5.1.2, 2,1.1.1, 2,1.1.2) of the flanges (5.1) of the essentially U-shaped profile (5) and the metal profile section (2.1.1) is 63° in respect of the horizontal plane.
- In the elevated or open position of the wing (1), these contact zones are released and at that point the sealing strip (4) is free from stresses and therefore in its resting position, where the three extensions (4.2) are placed at angles of 0°, 90°, and 180° respectively with regard to the vertical direction of the wing (1).
- In this example of a preferred embodiment, the frame profile (2) of the window or door comprises two semi-frames joined by flanges (5.1) of the essentially U-shaped profile and by other conventional elements (6) of breakage of the thermal bridge.
- In this second example of a preferred embodiment the guides (2.1) of the frame profile (2) of the window or door are provided with four planes (2.1.1.1, 2.1.1.2) which make contact with two of the extensions (4.2) of the two sealing strips (4) in the resting position of the wing (1) and therefore, the essentially U-shaped profile (5) is unnecessary.
- The inclination of the planes (2.1.1.1, 2.1.1.2) of the guides (2.1) of the frame profile (2) of the window or door is 63° with respect to a horizontal plane. In this example of a preferred embodiment, the frame profile (2) of the window or door comprises two semi-frames joined by conventional elements (6) of breakage of the thermal bridge.
- In this example of a preferred embodiment the frame profile (2) of the window or door is a single body between the metal profile sections (2.1.1) of which an essentially U-shaped profile (5) is placed.
