Der Schrägschlitz 7 erstreckt sich ebenfalls über die gesamte Breite des Befestigungselementes 1, sodaß sich der Spanngurt 5 in leicht abgekröpfter Form durch den Schrägschlitz 7 in das Befestigungselement 1 einbringen läßt. Auf diese Weise läßt sich das Befestigungselement 1 auch an einem schon an dem zu erkletternden Objekt befestigten Spanngurt 5 befestigen, ohne hierzu den Spanngurt 5 demontieren zu müssen.
Da der Schrägschlitz 7 -wie aus Fig.2 hervorgeht- etwas unterhalb des oberen Endes der Aufnahmeöffnung 6 in diese einmündet, ist sichergestellt, daß der Spanngurt 5 sich nicht durch den Schrägschlitz 7 aus der Aufnahmeöffnung 6 heraus bewegen kann. Um ein ungewolltes Herausgleiten des Spanngurtes 5 aus der Aufnahmeöffnung 6 zu vermeiden, ist im Bereich der seitlichen Enden der Aufnahmeöffnung 6 jeweils eine Verengung 8 vorgesehen.
Die Rückseite des Befestigungselementes 1 ist -wie aus Fig.3 hervorgeht- konkav ausgebildet und dient als Anlagefläche 9 für das Befestigungselement 1 an dem zu erkletternden Objekt. Um ein Verrutschen des am zu erkletternden Objekt festgezurrten Befestigungselementes 1 zu vermeiden, ist die Anlagefläche 9 des Befestigungselementes 1 rutschfest ausgebildet.
