Abstract
The invention consists of an electrified structural shape which, adequately fastened to a fit carrying structure, and connected to a suitable power source, can hold up and, at the same time, power up a number of outfittings fastened to it through a specific adaptor.
The purpose of the invention is to obtain carrying structures, characterized by the aforesaid structural shape, which it is possible to fasten to, or unfasten from, outfittings of the type of shelves with lamps, motorized display stands, roof lamps or others, whilst, at the same time, powering them up.
The aforesaid outfittings, once fastened through the specific adaptor, can draw the power needed for their functioning directly from the structural shape.
Description
- The present invention relates to an electrified structural shape and an adaptor intended to connect one or several outfittings, such as shelves with lamps, motorized display stands, roof lamps or others.
- The structural shape is fastened to an appropriate carrying structure and is connected to a power source.
- Outfittings are connected to any point of the structural shape through the adaptor, which allows them to receive the amount of power needed for their functioning. Outfittings can even include an embedded adaptor within their structure.
- The invention can be used to make carrying structures to which it is possible to fasten to, unfasten from, and, at the same time power up, outfittings featuring electrical and/or electronic devices, such as shelves with lamps, motorized display stands, roof lamps or others. Once fastened through their adaptor, such outfittings can draw the power needed for their functioning directly from the structural shape.
- Carrying structures featuring the invention shall be used, for instance, in places such as shops, where modular and flexible display stands are much appreciated, though very often not coupled with as flexible an electric installation.
-
Fig. 1 shows a perspective cross-section of the invention, with the structural shape (A) and the adaptor (F) fastened together. - The invention comprises a metallic structural shape (A) characterized by a hollow cross-section with a side opening, through which it is possible to insert and fasten frontally the adaptor (F); A metallic bar (D) inserted within the structural shape (A), having same length and being properly fastened to one of the side of the structural shape (A), but electrically isolated from it, by means of a layer of dielectric material (B). The dielectric material (B) leaves part of the surface of the metallic bar (D) exposed, where the side of the structural shape (A) is open, so as to allow contact with a metallic electric conductor (E); An adaptor (F) consisting of a metal plate of appropriate size and shape, which can easily be fastened frontally to the structural shape (A); A metallic electric conductor (E), which runs through the adaptor (F) remaining electrically isolated from it by means of a layer of dielectric material (C).
- When the adaptor (F) is fastened to the structural shape (A), the conductor (E) is in contact with the exposed surface of the metallic bar (D). The contact between the metallic bar (D) and the conductor (E) can be improved, with the help of a brush termination (not represented in
Fig. 1 ) or another such device. -
Fig. 2 shows an axonometric view of part of the structural shape (A) fitting a carrying structure (G), with the adaptor (F) fastened. - In the example, the structural shape (A) is embedded in an horizontal groove, made on the vertical surface of a board of dielectric material (G). The structural shape (A) and the metallic bar (D) are each one properly fastened to one of the two electrical terminals of an suitable power source, not shown in
Fig. 2 . - When fastened, the adaptor (F) is in contact with the structural shape (A), whereas the conductor (E) is in contact with the metallic bar (D).
- An outfitting, not represented in
Fig. 2 , is properly connected to the adaptor (F), or, in alternative, embeds the adaptor (F) within its own structure. - All electric and/or electronic devices that the outfitting features, are connected in a proper manner to any point of the adaptor (F) and the conductor (E), so as they can draw the amount of power needed for their functioning.
- The conductor (E) can, upon need, be made of different size or shape.
- The source providing the power needed for the functioning of the devices, can well directly be the low voltage power grid. It can be equipped with all devices necessary for safety and protection against over-voltage, over-current, short-circuit, sparkling or electric arc generation.
- Fastening and unfastening of outfittings featuring the adaptor (F) is easily done at any point of the structural shape (A).
-
Fig. 3 represents a side view of the structural shape (A) and of the adaptor (F), unfastened. - In this way, electrical contact between the adaptor (F) and the structural shape (A), as well as between the conductor (E) and the metallic bar (D), is broken.
Claims (5)
- System, consisting of an electrified structural shape and an adaptor, wherein it holds up, and, at the same time, powers up outfittings of the type of shelves with lamps, motorized display stands, roof lamps or others.
- System as claimed in claim 1, wherein the structural shape is characterized by a hollow section, which it is possible to fasten to and unfasten from, through frontal manoeuvres, the specific adaptor.
- System as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that a metallic bar runs inside the structural shape, but remains electrically isolated from it, by means of a layer of dielectric material.
- System as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that it comprises an adaptor, to which specific outfittings are connected, or that specific outfittings embed, consisting of a shaped board, which can be frontally fastened to or unfastened from the structural shape.
- System as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that it comprises an electric conductor which runs through the adaptor, from which it is separated by a layer of dielectric material, and that, when the adaptor is fastened to the structural shape, makes contact with the bar surface.
