Description

Improvements in or relating to a fastening means
The present invention relates to a fastening means arranged in just any formed structure comprising at least two parts, having at least one space. The fastening means is intended to make a penetration and sabotage more difficult and/or to stop the same for unauthorized persons to reach said space. The fastening means is keeping together/separating the parts by a male portion, a screw, which can be reached from outside to be applied through a first opening in the structure and further into at least one female portion located in said fastening means having a locking pin or locking recess, which can be reached for actuating from outside by a second opening in the structure. The screw portion is mechanically arranged via at least one nut portion. By aid of turning movements with a tool in said screw portion a movement of said locking pin or locking recess into and out from each other is achieved at the same time as the male portion and the female portion are made to cooperate and to be separated from each other, respectively, so that portions such as the nut portion, the screw portion or a cylinder formation located at the nut portion or screw portion comprises a free position function, which in spite of turning movements still going on remains in a free position so that the movement of said male portion or of the female portion does not occur.
One type of existing structures on the market which is previously known is described in the Swedish patent specification SE 517 415 and here is a fastening means arranged in any just formed structure such as an electrical box, a lamp post or the like which is intended to make a penetration and sabotage of unauthorized to reach the space in the structure by forcing a door or other part which is kept closed by the fastening means. A male portion in the door is fixed in a female portion in the fastening means, so that the male portion and female portion are working like e.g. a screw in a nut, a bayonet locking, a piston in a securing plate or the like with belonging locking pin an a locking recess. The position of the male- and female portions can be reached from outside by aid of a screw portion, which is provided through an opening in the door and is screwed into a nut portion provided in the fastening means. Using turning movements with a tool in the screw portion a displacement of the locking pin or the locking recess can be done so that these are moving out from each other and into each other, respectively. When they cooperate the female portion and the male portion function like a screw connection. When they do not cooperate the door cannot be loosen by influence of the male portion. This gives too bad form of protection of sabotage, since it is easy by using a simple tool to loose or bring together the male portion with the female portion. The problem arises with this solution that it is too easy to learn to understand how the fastening means functions. Further it is possible to sabotage the nut portion by break the same with the with the tool or screw the screw portion into the nut portion until the same has displaced the locking pin or the locking recess until they are stopped, so that the threads of the nut portion or the screw portion are broken. This destroys the function of the fastening means and the same is expensive to repair.
One object of the present invention is to solve the problems existing in the structures mentioned above by providing a free position at the screw portion/nut portion or to apply a cylinder formation in front of the nut portion, which makes the accessibility more difficult for a not matching tool to the screw portion, so that he same, the nut portion and the cylinder formation will slap/be in a free position during the use of another tool than the intended in preventing an accessibility of unauthorized persons.
Thanks to the present invention a fastening means has now been provided, which prevents and makes sabotage in the fastening means more difficult. According to the invention the fastening means is arranged in just any formed structure such e.g. a lamp-post, a electrical box or the like comprising at least two parts having at least one space. The fastening means is intended that in connection with a male portion and a female portion to keep together the parts and to disconnect the same. The male portion is applied through a first opening from outside in one part, e.g. the door and into said female portion, which is provided in the fastening means located in the space, so that an unit is achieved which is fixing the door. The male portion can be, e.g. a screw a bayonet locking, a piston. The female portion can be a nut, a securing plate or the like. The female portion is arranged next to a locking pin and/or a locking recess, which can be reached from outside by e.g. a second opening via a screw portion, which is provided in a nut portion in the fastening means. By aid of turning movements with a tool in said screw portion a movement of said locking pin or locking recess into and out from each other is achieved at the same time as the male portion and the female portion are made to cooperate and to be separated from each other, respectively. According to the invention the nut portion, the screw portion or a cylinder formation located at the same together or each of them comprises a free position function, so that in spite of turning movements still going on one of these remains in a free position and is slapping at the same time as a movement of said male portion and of the female portion does not occur. In a preferable embodiment example of the invention the nut portion and the screw portion has at least one thread to screw in the screw portion, said thread runs at least one half a revolution. On at least one another place of the nut portion or the screw portion or outside the same at least one thread free area is provided, so that the screw portion, during the turning when the thread is in the thread-free area, is landing in the free position. In a variant of the invention the nut portion or the screw portion has at least a friction area, which creates a friction resistance against the turning movement in connection to the threads, so that the screw portion starts to slap when the force in the turning movement is exceeding the friction resistance. The tool is provided with a working portion such e.g. a screw tool apex, in-six key apex having a formation not of a standard type in transferring the turning movement to the nut portion or turning element in order to further make a penetration and sabotage more difficult, so that the screw portion has a formation matching the working portion. In the preferable embodiment example the cylinder formation has a turning axis in the working direction of the tool, which comprises a running through opening, which guides in the tool against the screw portion and which has a diameter and a formation which matches the working portion and its adjacent portions, which are corresponding to the diameter and formation of a specially formed tool, whereby other tools are prevented to reach the screw portion and in this way an unauthorized attack is prevented, especially if the running through opening is conically formed with the larger diameter turned towards the tool. The cylinder formation has a cylindrical formation and is turnably fixed in a carrier, so that the mantle surface of the nut portion surrounds its turning axis. The carrier comprises resilient arms, which press against a stop situated at the cylinder formation in a working direction. Between the cylinder formation and the nut portion at least one carrier is provided, through which the screw portion is provided. The carrier moves the locking pin or the locking recess during the turning. The cylinder formation has at least one extension, which is matching into a recess located at the turning axis in order to keep the same in its position against the carrier. In this way the screw portion, the cylinder formation and the nut portion can be provided next to the male portion, the female portion, the locking pin and the locking recess. Between the nut portion and the carrier a resilient element is provided, which presses the carrier and also the locking pin or the locking recess towards the working direction for achieving a better guiding and function of the components included in the fastening means, so that the resilient element provides a clicking noise when the free position is reached, which is meant as a confirmation that the locking pin and the locking recess matches into and out from each other. The male portion and the screw portion can be reached from outside through the first and second opening from the working direction. In order to receive and easy mountable and well functioning fastening means for its included components a surrounded wall comprises guiding grooves and extension portions for making a mounting and guiding of the components easier. The fastening means comprises two openings in the working direction in the wall, which can be reached in the working direction corresponding to the orientation of the first and the second opening. The most important advantages of the invention are that the security and the function of the fastening means have been made better, at the first place the free position function for less risk for penetration and sabotage of unauthorized persons. At the same time the free position function makes that the carrier cannot be screwed such a long distance that it breaks adjacent components.
The invention will now be described in more detail below with help of preferred embodiment examples with reference to the accompanying drawings, on which
Figure 1 shows a cross section through the fastening means, situated in a space in a lamp-post having a door,
Figure 2 shows a vertical cross section through a portion of the fastening means comprising a cylinder formation, a carrier and a screw portion, and

As can be seen from fig. 1 and 2, here is shown a fastening means 1 according to the invention, which is arranged in just any formed structure 2, comprising of two parts 3 in the form of a lamp-post and a door enclosing a space 14. The fastening means 1 is intended to keep together or separate the parts 3 to a male portion 4 applied through a first opening 15 in the structure 2 and into a female portion 5 in said fastening means 1. At said female portion 5 a locking recess 7 is arranged, which can be reached for actuating from outside by a tool 13 through a second opening in the structure 2 in order to reach a screw portion 8, which is mechanically provided in a nut portion 9 for movement of said locking pin 6 via a carrier 30. The nut portion 9, the screw portion 8 and a cylinder formation 11 situated at the nut portion 9 each or in combination comprises a free position function 10. The nut portion 9 and the screw portion 8 have a thread 16 and a thread free area 17. The tool 13 has a working portion 18 to be inserted into the second opening 34 in a working direction 20 in through a running through opening formation 32 in the turning axis 23 of the cylinder formation 11. The cylinder formation 11 is fixed into a holder 21 having resilient arms 22, which are pressing against a stop 24 at the cylinder formation 11.
