Abstract

Insbesondere, wenn horizontal angeordnete und wirkende Hydraulik- und/oder Pneumatikzylinder einerseits aufgrund beispielsweise eines erforderlichen großen Hubweges lange Baulänge aufweisen, andererseits aber aufgrund vergleichsweise geringer aufzubringender Druck- bzw. Zugkräfte vergleichsweise kleine Durchmesser aufweisen können, neigen solche Zylinder aufgrund der auf sie einwirkenden Schwerkraft sowie unter Last zur Durchbiegung. In der Praxis sind dadurch solchen Zylindern in ihrem Durchmesser Untergrenzen vorgegeben, die die für die aufzubringende Druck- bzw. Zugkraft ansonsten erforderliche Untergrenze deutlich übersteigen. Mit anderen Worten müssen in solchen Fällen die Hydraulik- und/oder Pneumatikzylinder überdimensioniert ausgelegt werden, was zu erhöhten Kosten führt. Neben den erhöhten Kosten muss ein erhöhtes Gewicht der überdimensioniert ausgelegten Zylinder in Kauf genommen werden wie auch eine für den Betrieb erforderliche höhere benötigte Ölmenge im Fall von Hydraulikzylindern.
