Description

The invention relates to an industrial truck according to the preamble of claim 1, in particular high-shelf order picker, with a standing area for an operator defining standing platform of a driver's station, wherein on at least one side of the standing platform a parapet is provided.

Derartige Flurförderzeuge sind aus der US-A-2005/0016782 , der US-A-6,361,003 und der US-A-5,857,747 bekannt.Such trucks are out of the US-A-2005/0016782 , of the US-A-6,361,003 and the US-A-5,857,747 known.

In the case of the industrial trucks under consideration here, an operator standing on the platform can, if necessary, reach over the parapet, for example, to take an object out of a rack and then place this object on a pallet or the like which is not accessible from the truck's load-carrying means beyond the parapet Driver's seat is kept close. The operator usually performs such picking operations while standing and can support and hold onto the parapet. Towards the front, the parapet in the upper area is often formed as an open frame with an upper horizontal cross member extending at a height of about 1 m from the standing platform.

It has been shown to be almost typical Abstützverhalten that an oriented forward to the upper cross member of the parapet and it is supported with the upper body or abdominal area operator in addition to the knees at a lower portion of the parapet stops. It has already been proposed, in the relevant height range of the parapet, to design a rigid part of the parapet panel as a knee support with a thin padding. Such knee braces are usually designed so large that operators with low knee height and operators with relatively large knee height can find a support surface on it.

However, these relatively large knee braces provide a visual barrier in the parapet. Such obstruction in particular affects then disadvantageous if the operator is not directly on the parapet, but z. B. on a slightly rearward seat, z. B. folding seat sits while a control panel operated to control the driving and the load handling operation of the truck. In such a case, the knee pads may interfere with the operator's view of components of the load handler or on the roadway.

The present invention has for its object to provide an industrial truck of the type mentioned above, which offers a knee support option for different operators with different knee heights in the driver's cab area, without necessarily represent a large visual barrier.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1.

The height adjustment of the knee support allows adaptation to different knee heights of different operators, the actual knee support member may be relatively small, so that it is not an extended visual barrier for this reason. Due to the height adjustment, the knee support member can be moved in many cases in a position in which it releases the view of the operator through the parapet.

The knee brace should have at least one padded area for knee support so that the operator will find a relatively soft and resilient support surface in the knee area.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the knee support element interchangeable with simple means arranged on the holder. This provides the possibility of simply replacing a worn knee brace by a new or the possibility of using the prepared for the releasable attachment of the knee brace on the truck mounting interface for mounting a example only temporarily used component, such as a meter, a monitor, etc. This is proposed that an adapter element is provided which is prepared for releasable connection to the mounting interface and is suitable and provided as a support for the component to be mounted in exchange with the knee support element.

According to the invention, the knee support member and the holder on each other complementary plug connection elements which are joined together to form a plug connection. In this case, the knee support z. B. have two plug-in rods as plug-in connection elements and the holder be provided with insertion holes for receiving the Einsteckstangen. As a technically simple and reliable solution of this kind, a plug connection mechanism has proven, as it is also used in the mounting of headrests on car seat backrests. Such a plug-in mechanism allows the need for removal of the knee support element by pulling out the provided thereon Einsteckstangen from the holder-side insertion holes, possibly after releasing a latching between the holder and the Einsteckstangen. Such a plug-in mechanism also allows a quick and easy height adjustment of the knee support element. Depending on the specific embodiment of the plug-in mechanism, the knee support element can be fixed in various discrete locking positions - or be continuously height-adjustable. This also applies to embodiments of connection mechanisms between knee support element and holder, which are not configured as plug-in connections.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the knee support element has two at an angle less than 180 °, preferably less than 120 °, from each other projecting main sections, one of which is oriented with an outer side upwards and has on its outer side opposite underside insertion rods as plug-in connection elements, wherein the other main section faces the occupied area for the operator and has a padding. Preferably, the angle which the main sections enclose with each other, is about 90 °, expediently both main sections have a padding. The operator can support the knee in such a knee support selectively forward against the main area facing the main portion or hang up on the upper main section. Furthermore, the angled design of the knee support element offers the possibility of covering edgy and hard parapet elements in the relevant area of the parapet. According to a variant of the above-mentioned embodiment of the knee support member, the upper main portion has on its upwardly oriented outside a trough as a storage compartment for writing utensils or the like.

Usually, the trucks of the type considered here have a control panel on the driver's station, which is arranged accessible from the area of residence of the operator near the parapet. Conveniently, at least one height-adjustable knee support member according to the invention is provided laterally offset from the control console in the parapet area.

In Fig. 2a the knee support members 26 are drawn in their lowest position, whereas in Fig. 2b are shown in a raised setting for greater knee heights.

Fig. 3a shows a knee support member 26 in the position according to Fig. 2a , from the perspective of, in Fig. 2a indicated by the arrow IIIa. The parapet case 28 is in Fig. 3a for the sake of simplicity broken out.

Fig. 3b shows the knee support member 26 in the pulled-out position according to Fig. 2b from the front perspective, as in Fig. 2b indicated by the arrow IIIb.

The parapet case 28 and the knee support member 26 have complementary plug connection elements. At the knee support member 26 are as plug connection elements in Fig. 3b well recognizable Einsteckstangen 30 provided, which are inserted into insertion holes 32 at the top of the parapet plate box 28. The insertion holes 32 are part of plug-in receptacles, as they are known from Kopfstützbefestigungen in seat backs of motor vehicle seats ago. Similarly, the Einsteckstangen 30 are known from head restraints ago plug-in rods.

The knee bracing 26 may be more or less inserted into the insertion holes 32 as required with their Einsteckstangen 30 to make a desired height adjustment. Locking mechanisms, to which the in Fig. 3b recognizable notches 34 allow height adjustments in discrete stages.

From the FIGS. 3a and 3b It can also be clearly seen that the knee support elements 26 have two main sections 40, 42 projecting at an angle 38 of approximately 90 ° from one another, which are preferably both upholstered. The upper main section 40 is oriented with its outer side 44 upwards and has on its underside 46 on the Einsteckstangen 30 on. The other main section 42 faces the driver's station or the occupied area for the operator. Such an angular shape of the knee support member 26 has the advantage that it covers hard and sharp-edged parapet elements, such as the upper portion of the parapet panel 28 partially, and thus provides a comfortable protection for the operator against accidental bumping on the parapet case 28 or the like (see. especially Fig. 2a and Fig. 3a ).

This angle shape of the knee bracing elements also offers the operator the ability to put her knee on top of the section 44 (partly kneeling posture) or to support the knee against the main section 42 to the front (standing posture).

Fig. 2a, Fig. 2b) versperren. Due to the height adjustment of the knee bracing elements they can be adapted quickly to different knee heights. They can be made relatively small so that they give the operator as little visibility in the window area 48 of the front parapet frame (see. Fig. 2a, Fig. 2b ) block. The question of visual obstruction is of particular importance when the operator controls the truck in a sitting position on a driver's seat 50 which is provided in the rear area of the driver's seat 2 so that it can be folded out. The operator can thereby obtain almost optimal viewing conditions, when the relatively small knee brace 26 in the lowest position according to Fig. 2a shifts.

A modification of the above-described embodiment could consist in the knee support elements 26 also laterally, so horizontally adjustable or possibly to arrange pivoting.

Fig. 4 shows a knee support member 26, the special feature over the knee support member 26 from Fig. 3a on the upwardly oriented outer side 44 of the main portion 40 has a trough 52 as a storage compartment for writing utensils or the like ..
