Description
The invention relates to an industrial truck according to the preamble of claim 1, in particular high-shelf order picker, with a standing area for an operator defining standing platform of a driver's station, wherein on at least one side of the standing platform a parapet is provided.
In the case of the industrial trucks under consideration here, an operator standing on the platform can, if necessary, reach over the parapet, for example, to take an object out of a rack and then place this object on a pallet or the like which is not accessible from the truck's load-carrying means beyond the parapet Driver's seat is kept close. The operator usually performs such picking operations while standing and can support and hold onto the parapet. Towards the front, the parapet in the upper area is often formed as an open frame with an upper horizontal cross member extending at a height of about 1 m from the standing platform.
It has been shown to be almost typical Abstützverhalten that an oriented forward to the upper cross member of the parapet and it is supported with the upper body or abdominal area operator in addition to the knees at a lower portion of the parapet stops. It has already been proposed, in the relevant height range of the parapet, to design a rigid part of the parapet panel as a knee support with a thin padding. Such knee braces are usually designed so large that operators with low knee height and operators with relatively large knee height can find a support surface on it.
However, these relatively large knee braces provide a visual barrier in the parapet. Such obstruction in particular affects then disadvantageous if the operator is not directly on the parapet, but z. B. on a slightly rearward seat, z. B. folding seat sits while a control panel operated to control the driving and the load handling operation of the truck. In such a case, the knee pads may interfere with the operator's view of components of the load handler or on the roadway.
The present invention has for its object to provide an industrial truck of the type mentioned above, which offers a knee support option for different operators with different knee heights in the driver's cab area, without necessarily represent a large visual barrier.
This object is solved by the features of claim 1.
The height adjustment of the knee support allows adaptation to different knee heights of different operators, the actual knee support member may be relatively small, so that it is not an extended visual barrier for this reason. Due to the height adjustment, the knee support member can be moved in many cases in a position in which it releases the view of the operator through the parapet.
The knee brace should have at least one padded area for knee support so that the operator will find a relatively soft and resilient support surface in the knee area.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the knee support element interchangeable with simple means arranged on the holder. This provides the possibility of simply replacing a worn knee brace by a new or the possibility of using the prepared for the releasable attachment of the knee brace on the truck mounting interface for mounting a example only temporarily used component, such as a meter, a monitor, etc. This is proposed that an adapter element is provided which is prepared for releasable connection to the mounting interface and is suitable and provided as a support for the component to be mounted in exchange with the knee support element.
According to the invention, the knee support member and the holder on each other complementary plug connection elements which are joined together to form a plug connection. In this case, the knee support z. B. have two plug-in rods as plug-in connection elements and the holder be provided with insertion holes for receiving the Einsteckstangen. As a technically simple and reliable solution of this kind, a plug connection mechanism has proven, as it is also used in the mounting of headrests on car seat backrests. Such a plug-in mechanism allows the need for removal of the knee support element by pulling out the provided thereon Einsteckstangen from the holder-side insertion holes, possibly after releasing a latching between the holder and the Einsteckstangen. Such a plug-in mechanism also allows a quick and easy height adjustment of the knee support element. Depending on the specific embodiment of the plug-in mechanism, the knee support element can be fixed in various discrete locking positions - or be continuously height-adjustable. This also applies to embodiments of connection mechanisms between knee support element and holder, which are not configured as plug-in connections.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the knee support element has two at an angle less than 180 °, preferably less than 120 °, from each other projecting main sections, one of which is oriented with an outer side upwards and has on its outer side opposite underside insertion rods as plug-in connection elements, wherein the other main section faces the occupied area for the operator and has a padding. Preferably, the angle which the main sections enclose with each other, is about 90 °, expediently both main sections have a padding. The operator can support the knee in such a knee support selectively forward against the main area facing the main portion or hang up on the upper main section. Furthermore, the angled design of the knee support element offers the possibility of covering edgy and hard parapet elements in the relevant area of the parapet. According to a variant of the above-mentioned embodiment of the knee support member, the upper main portion has on its upwardly oriented outside a trough as a storage compartment for writing utensils or the like.
Usually, the trucks of the type considered here have a control panel on the driver's station, which is arranged accessible from the area of residence of the operator near the parapet. Conveniently, at least one height-adjustable knee support member according to the invention is provided laterally offset from the control console in the parapet area.
