Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Wärmeübertragereinrichtung (1), insbesondere einen Querstromkühler für ein Kraftfahrzeug, welche zwischen zwei Fahrzeuglängsträgern (2, 2') angeordnet ist. Die Wärmeübertragereinrichtung (1) besteht im wesentlichen aus einem Wärmeübertragungsbereich (4), insbesondere einem Kühler-/Lamellennetz und zumindest zwei seitlich daran angeordneten und sich im wesentlichen vertikal erstreckenden Sammel-/Verteilerbehälter (6, 6'). Um einen Bauraum zwischen den Fahrzeuglängsträgern (2, 2') möglichst effizient auszunutzen, schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass die Sammel-/Verteilerbehälter (6, 6') im Bereich der Fahrzeuglängsträger (2, 2') außen jeweils eine komplementär zu diesen ausgebildete Ausnehmung (7, 7') aufweisen.
