Abstract

An apparatus and method of assembling an interlocking vane is provided. The vane assembly (112) includes a gas turbine stator is provided. The gas turbine stator includes a vane assembly. The vane assembly (112) includes a vane and a cap. The vane in the vane assembly (112) extends radially from the cap. The vane includes a pressure side shell (120) and a separate suction side shell (118). The gas turbine stator also includes a platform (114, 116) that receives the vane assembly.
