Abstract

A spin-stabilized artillery projectile (10) has a projectile detonator (14) provided in an ogive (12) of the projectile; a radially deployed brake device (16) provided in the ogive for reduction of a longitudinal deviation (A o, A r) of the projectile in a target area; and a number of impulse elements (24) distributed around a circumference of the projectile to reduce a lateral deviation (B o, B r) of the projectile in the target area. The impulse elements are formed by pyrotechnic force elements (18) associated with a front ring area (20) of a shroud (22) covering the brake device.
