Abstract

Dans un système d'affranchissement de courrier comportant un dispositif central de comptabilisation de sécurité (PSD 20) relié à un serveur distant de rechargement de crédit (26) et une pluralité de modules de gestion d'affranchissement locaux (22-1 à 22-N) comportant chacun un dispositif local de comptabilisation de sécurité (28-1 à 28-N) et reliés au dit dispositif central de comptabilisation de sécurité au travers d'un réseau local d'un utilisateur (LAN), il est prévu un procédé dans lequel on ouvre une session d'affranchissement, chacun des modules de gestion d'affranchissement locaux réserve un montant d'affranchissement prédéterminé auprès du dispositif central de comptabilisation de sécurité afin d'effectuer des affranchissements sécurisés dans la limite de ce montant et en fin de session chacun de ces modules envoi son montant d'affranchissement consommé au dispositif central qui est alors débité d'un montant d'affranchissement global égal à la somme des montants d'affranchissement consommés par chacun des modules locaux.
