Abstract
Description
- The present finding relates to a composite tubular textile product.
- In the textile industry and in particular, textile industry applied to the sector of accessories for leather goods, costume jewellery, jewellery and others, an increasing trend to use various materials differing from the traditional textile yarns has become widespread, optionally matched with the same traditional yarns.
- The object of the present finding is to obtain a composite tubular textile product comprising yarns of various types and a metal chain, wherein the metal chain does not damage the yarns.
- Another object of the present finding is to obtain a composite tubular textile product on a knitting machine.
- Another object of the present finding is to obtain a composite tubular textile product especially simple and functional, at low cost.
- These objects according to the present finding are achieved by producing a composite tubular textile product according to claim 1.
- Further features of a composite tubular textile product are defined in the dependent claims.
- The features and advantages of a composite tubular textile product according to the present finding will appear more clearly from the following description, made by way of an non-limiting example with reference to the annexed schematic drawings, wherein:
- - figure 1 shows a schematic view of a composite tubular textile product, according to the present finding, wherein the yarn loops are depicted enlarged for greater clarity of representation.
- With reference to the figure, there is shown a composite tubular textile product, globally indicated with
reference numeral 10 comprising ayarn 20 and achain 30, for example of metal. -
Chain 30, schematically shown in the figure, can be of various types, of any thickness, diameters and mechanical construction, for example a sequence of loop links. - Moreover,
chain 30 can be made of a precious metal material, that is, selected from the group of the precious metals, such as gold, silver, platinum and copper. -
Yarn 20 is arranged aboutchain 30, that is,yarn 20links chain 30 atdiscrete points 40 equally spaced from each other. The chain thus linked therefore remains exposed. -
Yarn 20 can without distinction comprise a textile thread, multiple thin threads, a bundle of metal threads, as well as an India rubber thread. - Moreover, the linking yarn (20) may consist of a yarn tubular consisting of one or more threads.
- Moreover,
yarn 20 may be precious, that is, comprising a bundle of precious metal threads, that is, selected from the group comprising gold, silver, platinum, copper, optionally mixed with silk or cashmere. - The precious yarns may be grouped into various diameters and multiplied according to the desired fineness.
- The production of the composite tubular textile product object of the present finding is obtained for example with a circular knitting machine, for example using a single needle on the roller.
- The metal chain is fed to the centre of the roller and a thread guide feeds the yarn.
- The single needle, at each stitch turn, threads the yarn linking the metal chain at one point.
- The yarn and the chain forming the composite tubular textile product object of the present finding are advantageously capable of bending.
- Moreover, the metal chain does not cut the yarn during the production or during the subsequent use of the product.
- The composite tubular textile product object of the present finding exhibits the advantage of obtaining a strong end product.
- Another advantage of a composite tubular textile product according to the present finding is to produce pleasant chromatic effects as well as special brightness effects.
- It should be noted that the product exhibits an elastic behaviour due to
yarn 20, for example made of an elastic material, and to chain 30, when the length thereof is suitably in excess relative to the length ofyarn 20 at rest. - In other words, when
yarn 20 is of an elastic material andchain 30 has a length greater thanyarn 20 at rest, the product can be elastically extended. - Advantageously, such characteristic of the product can be used for making a bracelet, for example with a single fastener for multiple sizes, that is, entirely consisting of the annular shaped product.
- According to a further embodiment variation, the product can be used for making a bracelet having a traditional portion, for example stiff, and a portion consisting of
product 10. - According to a further variation,
product 10 can be used for making an elastic band for watches, suitably selecting the diameter ofchain 30. - According to a further variation,
product 10 can be used for making a necklace. - According to further variations,
product 10 can be used for making belts, half belts, elastic embellishing rims for clothing, leather goods and footwear.
