Description

The invention relates to an electrical connector according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a connector has already been sold by the applicant and is used for connection to a mating connector, wherein the connector is designed as a plug and the mating connector as a socket or vice versa and these connectors carry appropriate plug or socket contacts. This connector (or mating connector) is designed so that the shield sleeve has at its end facing the union threaded end rigid elevations which engage in corresponding recesses of the union threaded piece, so that on the one hand an electrical shield connection between union threaded piece and shielding sleeve is secured and on the other hand by the detent a shake the connector effective anti-rotation of the union threaded piece is achieved. With such a connector, a complete electrical screen for the lines to be connected is formed. However, the known connector has the disadvantages that length tolerances of the connector parts can not be compensated for, that a separation of the electrical connection function and the mechanical connection function between the union threaded piece and the shielding sleeve is not possible, and that no protection against rotation of the shielding sleeve is present on the contact carrier ,

The DE 197 21 506 A1 discloses an electrical connector having a sleeve which may be provided for shielding purposes. The sleeve has a locking tooth, which projects into a locking toothed ring formed on the inner circumference of a union nut and thus forms an anti-rotation device for the union nut. Additional means for making an electrical contact are not provided.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide an electrical connector referred to in the preamble of claim 1 To provide a type in which a length tolerance compensation of the connector components is possible, and in which a separation of the electrical connection function and the mechanical connection function between the union threaded piece and the shield sleeve is achieved.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

Thus, the mechanical detent or anti-rotation of the union threaded piece is now separated from the electrical contact of the shield connection, and a compensation of the length tolerances of the components of the connector is possible.

According to a further simple embodiment of the invention, the sliding contact on a spring produced by punching, which has a produced by embossing, raised contact surface.

According to a further simple embodiment of the invention, the contact surface is formed spherical segment-shaped.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that the shielding sleeve has at least one blind slot which faces from the union threaded piece Umbrella sleeve end extends and extends in the shield sleeve longitudinal direction, and that the contact carrier has at least one rib for engagement in the blind slot. As a result, a rotation of the shielding sleeve is avoided on the contact carrier.

The in the Figures 1-4 shown angle connector 1 has a plug insert 2 made of a plastic contact carrier 3 and a plug-in contact set 4, a cooperating with an outer ring stop 5 of the contact carrier 3, sitting on this, metal cap screw 6 and a metal end sleeve 7, the line connections 8 of the contact carrier 3 covers. The connection to the cable is not shown here. The cap screw 6 is, as in particular from the FIGS. 3 and 4 emerges provided with an external thread 10, an adjoining knurled collar 11 and an adjoining hexagon 12 for key operation. According to the invention, a specially designed metal shielding sleeve 9 is provided on the contact carrier 3.

The thus constructed angle connector is in Fig. 5 shown enlarged. The shielding sleeve 9 is in Fig. 6 shown enlarged.

The shielding sleeve 9 has at the end, which faces the cap screw 6, on the circumference of several angled detent springs, such as the detent spring 13, which is provided at the end with a detent, such as the locking lug 14. The locking lug 14 has in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the connector 1 to an inner collar 15 of the cap screw 6 and engages Fig. 5 in a locking recess 16 a. Such locking recesses are on the inside of the inner collar 15 arranged distributed in the form of radial grooves. When screwing the nut with the mating connector, not shown, these locking lugs 14 and locking recesses 16 provide for a rotation of the cap screw 6, if the connector would be exposed to shocks, for example.

Durch die federnde Ausführung der Rastnasen 14 ist immer ein Anliegen in den Rastvertiefungen 16 und somit eine Verdrehsicherung der Überwurfschraube 6 gewährleistet, unabhängig von den sich ergebenden Längentoleranzen des Kontaktträgers 3 und der Überwurfschraube 6.Due to the resilient design of the locking lugs 14 is always a concern in the locking recesses 16 and thus a rotation of the cap screw 6 guaranteed, regardless of the resulting length tolerances of the contact carrier 3 and the cap screw. 6

The shielding sleeve 9 ( Fig. 6 ) is further provided with four spring contacts, such as the spring contact 17 or 18, which are made by punching a U-shaped portion 19 of the screen sleeve wall. These spring contacts are close to the detent springs 13 in the region of the inner collar 15 and have a spherical portion-shaped contact surface 20 or 21, which is produced by embossing.

Vorteilhafterweise sind 4 Federkontakte um je 90° versetzt angeordnet und führen so zu einer Zentrierung der Überwurfschraube 6.Advantageously, 4 spring contacts are arranged offset by 90 ° and thus lead to a centering of the cap screw. 6

Finally, the shielding sleeve 9 is provided with at least one blind slot 22, which extends from the cap screw facing shielding sleeve end and extends in the shield sleeve longitudinal direction. The contact carrier 3 is provided in a manner not shown with at least one corresponding rib for engagement in the blind slot 22. As a result, a rotation of the shielding sleeve 9 on the contact carrier 3 is avoided.

The metal end sleeve 7 ( Fig. 5 ) Is connected in a manner not shown, for example by latching, electrically connected to the shielding sleeve 9 and mechanically with this and the contact carrier 3.

When the cap screw 6 is screwed to the mating connector, the inner collar 15 slides over the contact surfaces 20, 21. By the spring action a secure shield connection between the shield sleeve 9 and the cap screw 6 is made. Overall, an uninterrupted screen of the cables and plug contacts 4 is thus created. At the same time by turning the detent springs 13 in the locking recesses 16, the security against rotation of the cap screw 6 is ensured.

In the Figures 7-10 an example of a straight connector 1 'is reproduced, which is similar to the connector 1 except for the straight end sleeve 7'. In Fig. 10 are the plug contacts 4 have been omitted.

In the Figures 11-14 an example of a straight connector 1 "is reproduced, which is provided differently from the connector 1 'with a socket contact set 4' and a cap nut 6 ', a straight end sleeve 7" is provided. Likewise, an angled version according to the Figures 1-4 possible. The contact carrier 3 'is provided with an outer collar 23 which serves as a stop for the union nut 6'. On the stop remote side of the outer collar 23, an annular seal 24 is disposed on the contact carrier 3 '. The union nut 6 'has an internal thread 25. When screwing the union nut 6 'with the cap screw of the mating connector, not shown, the ring seal 24 supports the vibration of the gland and at the same time serves to seal the electrical contacts 4 and 4' from environmental influences. The shielding sleeve 9 is as in Fig. 6 educated.
