Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein rohrförmiges Profilelement (8, 9) zum Bilden eines Rahmens (2, 4) eines Feuerschutzabschlusses (100), wobei ein rohrförmig umschlossener Innenraum (19, 20) des Profilelements (8, 9) im Brandfall durch ein Wärmeenergie absorbierendes Isoliermaterial (30, 31) befüllt ist, das einen Wärmeübergang von einer Seite des Profilelementes (8, ) zur anderen im Brandfall behindert. Um ein kostengünstigeres und einfacheres Herstellen des Feuerschutzabschlusses ohne Beeinträchtigung der Schutzfunktion zu erreichen, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, dass zum Bilden des im Brandfall wirksamen Isoliermaterials (31) ein intumeszierendes Material (30) in den Innenraum (19, 20) des Profilelementes (8, 9) eingesetzt ist, welches Material (30) im Brandfall unter Hitzeeinwirkung den rohrförmig umschlossenen Innenraum (19, 20) befüllend aufschäumt.
