- the pinion (8) and the rack (7) comprise several teeth of rack and pinion system that can move inside each other and are in the same forms. Therefore, when the handle (6) is moved it rotates about the pivot (10) and meanwhile the teeth on the pinion, which moves with the handle, try to move inside the teeth of the rack (7) and thereby actuating the rack (7).
