Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de codage vidéo dans lequel un mode de codage est rapidement décidé et un codage vidéo est effectué dans ce mode de codages décidé. Ce procédé de codage vidéo consiste à déterminer si un bloc prédéterminé d'une taille prédéterminée formant une vidéo remplit des conditions prédéterminées correspondant à un premier mode inclus dans une pluralité de modes de codage utilisés pour coder la vidéo et à choisir ce premier mode comme mode de codage du bloc prédéterminé si les conditions prédéterminées sont remplies.
