Verfahren zum Erzeugen und/oder Verarbeiten einer Datenstrombeschreibung, wobei mit der Datenstrombeschreibung Abschnitte eines Datenstroms beschrieben und/oder referenziert und/oder klassifiziert werden und die Datenstrombeschreibung mittels eines Prozessors mit einer Transformation transformiert werden kann, wobei die transformierte Datenstrombeschreibung eine Adaption des Datenstroms er- möglicht, d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t, d a s s ein oder mehrere Abschnitte der Datenstrombeschreibung als Prozesseinheiten gekennzeichnet werden, wobei eine Prozesseinheit alle Informationen aus der Datenstrombeschrei- bung enthält, die für die Transformation der Prozesseinheit mittels des Prozessors in eine transformierte Prozesseinheit notwendig sind, ohne dass bei der Transformation ein Zugriff auf Abschnitte der Datenstrombeschreibung außerhalb der Prozesseinheit erfolgt .1.
