Description

SHEET FOR WRAPPING FLOWERS
The invention relates to a sheet for wrapping bunches of flowers and the like. It is generally known to wrap bunches of flowers, pot plants and the like for protection thereof during transport from the place where the bunch of flowers or the like is purchased to the place of destination. Bunches of flowers and the like are usually used as gift. It is therefore usual to wrap bunches of flowers in an attractive manner, so as to thus impart added value to the gift. It is therefore known to wrap bunches of flowers and the like with for instance two sheets, which are laid onto each other in mutually offset manner and into which the bunch of flowers or pot plant is rolled. Industrial use is also made of flower sleeves which imitate a traditional wrapping (of several sheets) . The use of a plurality of wrapping sheets or specially manufactured sleeves entails a relatively considerable increase in cost . The object of the invention is now to provide a sheet of the type specified in the preamble with which it is on the one hand possible to wrap a bunch of flowers or the like attractively, while the cost thereof on the other hand remains limited. According to the invention this object is achieved with a sheet as characterized in claim 1. In the situation where a bunch of flowers or the like is wrapped in the sheet according to the invention, the appearance does not differ significantly from the appearance obtained when the number of sheet parts are used placed separately on one another to wrap the flowers. Because the sheet is single-layered, the production costs as well as the processing costs thereof are significantly lower than for two usual sheets for wrapping bunches of flowers and the like. The measure of claim 2 is preferably applied. Hereby achieved to an even greater extent is an appearance of the sheet which very closely resembles a number of displaced sheet parts lying offset on one another. A particularly attractive appearance of the sheet according to the invention is achieved with the measure of claim 3. The different appearance of the represented sheet parts can for instance be obtained by making use of the appearance of sheets of different material. It is for instance possible here to envisage transparent foil, tissue paper, printed paper, fine mesh and the like. A suitable manner of processing the sheet is stated in claim 5. Any random image can be applied to the sheet by means of a printing process, and the appearance of the different sheet parts can thus be represented with a high degree of precision. Although the sheet according to the invention can have a random number of sheet parts as basic form, the measure of claim 6 is preferably applied. The use of two sheet parts results in a wrapping sheet which imparts a high-quality, stylish appearance to the wrapped bunch of flowers or the like. A suitable embodiment of the sheet according to the invention is characterized in claim 7. The thus obtained sheet has a peripheral form which is convenient for wrapping a bunch of flowers or the like. When the measure of claim 8 is applied, the parts of the peripheral form corresponding with the respective sheet parts are uniformly distributed, whereby a balanced peripheral form is obtained. In a further developed embodiment , the measure of claim 9 is applied. The attractiveness of the sheet is hereby further enhanced. The invention will be further elucidated in the following description with reference to the accompanying figures. Figure 1 shows a sheet according to the invention with an imaginary sheet part represented on the sheet . Figure 2 shows a second embodiment . Figure 3 shows a third embodiment . Figure 4 shows a perspective view of a bunch of flowers wrapped in a sheet with the embodiment of figure 3. Figure 1 shows a sheet 1 according to the invention for wrapping bunches of flowers and the like. This sheet has a peripheral form which is the same as the outer peripheral form of two sheet parts 2, 3 lying on one another in offset manner. Sheet parts 2, 3 are formed by two parts of a substantially rectangular sheet 4 which are folded onto each other along an imaginary oblique fold line. The imaginary part 8 indicated with dashed lines in figure 1 has a shape which is the same as the reflected sheet part 3. It is noted for the sake of clarity that sheet 1 does not in actual fact consist of two sheet parts folded onto each other, but of a single-layer sheet with the shown peripheral form. Lines 5 and 6 are printed on the sheet, whereby sheet 1 acquires the outward appearance of the two sheet parts lying offset on one another. In the embodiment shown here, sheet 1 thus appears as if it consists of two sheet parts folded onto one another . For decorative purposes the upper edge 7 of sheet part 2 takes a wave-shape form. Figure 2 shows a somewhat further developed embodiment. Sheet 10 is here also a single-layer sheet with a peripheral form which is the same as the outer peripheral form of two sheet parts 11, 12 lying offset on one another. The part of the surface of sheet 10 representing sheet part 11 is provided with a printing 13, whereby the appearance of the whole sheet 10 is again such that it appears as if it consists of two sheet parts folded onto one another. It is noted that in other embodiments the sheet parts do not necessarily have to be connected as shown in figure 1, wherein the two sheets appear to form part of a larger sheet 4. The shown form is however recommended, since a bunch of flowers or a similar pot plant can be readily wrapped herein. As figure 2 shows, sheet 10 is embodied such that it appears as if sheet part 11 is provided with a serrated edge. The parts of the represented sheet part 11 which define edges of the peripheral form are in actual fact provided with the serrated edge profile, while the intermediate part only creates the impression of a serrated edge through printing 13. A recess 14 is arranged on the bottom edge of sheet 10, whereby the sheet fits well round the stems of the bunch of flowers for wrapping. Figure 3 shows yet another embodiment, wherein the same basic form is however still applied. Sheet 15 represents a first sheet part 16 and a second sheet part, the corners 17, 18 of which appear to be visible. Figure 4 shows this sheet 15 in the situation where a bunch of flowers 21 is wrapped therein. As the figure clearly shows, the sheet according to the invention succeeds in creating the impression that flowers 21 are wrapped in a double sheet, whereby the appearance of the wrapped bunch of flowers is stylish and high-quality. It will be apparent that many variations can be applied. Instead of representing two sheet parts as in the preferred embodiments shown here, more than two sheet parts can of course be represented. The processing of the sheet whereby the number of sheet parts is represented can also be very varied. A perforation, an imprint or the like can for instance be applied instead of a printing. It is of course also possible to arrange patterns or designs on one or more of the represented sheet parts, for instance when it is wished to wrap flowers for special occasions such as Mother's day, Valentine's day and the like.
