Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel red color emitting compound of formula (I), an organic electroluminescent device using the compound, and a method for manufacturing the device. The present invention also relates to a red organic electroluminescent emitting device having high chromaticity and high brightness by using the compounds of the following formula (I) having high luminescence efficiency;

wherein R1 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atom and substituted or unsubstituted C1-6alkyl; X represents N, S, or O; and Y represents hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted C1-6alkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted C1-6alkoxy.
