Abstract

The present invention describes a liquid fluid filter for internal combustion engines and industrial engines, such as lubricating oil filter, fuel filter, and other liquid fluid filters, which is equipped with flow guide (7) of liquid fluid at the filter element. The flow guide (7) of this liquid fluid is capable to guide fluid flow passing this filter and making laminar the said fluid flow. With laminar flow, the stirring effect on particles and dirt in this liquid fluid is significantly minimized. This liquid fluid guide can be mounted at the internal and/or at the external parts of filter element. This liquid fluid guide can be mounted at liquid flow filter of cartridge form as well as of element-only form. If the attack angle of this fluid flow guide is mounted with a certain angle against the filter base, the flow can also be whirled around.

Description

Description
LIQUID FLUID FLOW GUIDE IN ENGINE LIQUID FLUID FILTER Field of the Invention
This invention relates to a filtering device for liquid fluid, such as lubricating oil filter and fuel oil filter for industrial engines and internal combustion engines as well as water filter, and especially liquid fluid filter which is equipped with liquid fluid flow guide.
Background of the Invention In the present time a liquid fluid filter, such as lubricating oil filter and fuel oil filter for internal combustion engines and also industrial engines, earns growing vital role. Practically the filtering of liquid fluid can influence the performance and influence the technical lifetime of the said engines . One of the performances that should be owned by this liquid fluid filter is the capability to filter nicely particles or dirt and capability in letting flow the liquid fluid with least possible retardation. The filtering capability for the particle size is significantly dependent on the porosity of the filter media. While the fluid flow rate can be influenced by the porosity grade of the filter media and also significantly influenced by the flow behavior. Laminar flow will surely speed up the fluid flow. Due to the importance of a liquid fluid filtering role in an engine, a liquid fluid filter is designed which is capable in making the liquid fluid flow being filtered can flow laminar as well as having good liquid flow filterable capability. In the patent application S 990 038 by the same inventor with the title "Air Guide in Air Filter for Internal Combustion Engines", an air guide was already disclosed. In the present patent application, a laminar flow maker at liquid fluid filter will be disclosed.
Summary of the Invention
As mentioned in the background, the present invention discloses a liquid fluid filter, such as lubricating oil filter, fuel oil filter and other liquid fluid filter for internal combustion engines and industrial engines. The superiority of the liquid fluid filter disclosed in the present invention lies at the filter strengthener part that is found at the filter element. The liquid fluid filter disclosed in this invention is capable in directing the liquid fluid flow that is being filtered to a certain direction and at the same time making uniform the flow direction so that laminar flow is obtained. Laminar flow of this liquid fluid filter in this invention by itself will minimize the mixing of dirt that goes through the filter, with the filter fluid, because the turbulence of the flow is greatly reduced.

Full Description of the Invention
This invention describes a liquid fluid flow filter in engines, such as lubricating oil, fuel, and other liquid fluids, whereby this liquid fluid filter is equipped with a fluid flow guide, in order to increase effectiveness the filtering result and to improve the fluid flow. In the patent application S 99 00 38 by the same inventor, an air filter with air guide is disclosed, as shown in Figure 1. This air guide is made of relative stiff material and on its whole surface are found uniform holes (a) and followed by cut half-cone indentation (b) at every holes (a) on the whole surface of this air guide. In the present patent application, by the same inventor, the air guide is applied on a liquid fluid filter, to obtain a more effective liquid fluid flow in the liquid fluid filter. The liquid fluid filters that are generally available at the present time, there are of cartridge-form, Figure 2A, and also of element-only form, Figure 2B. In the cartridge-form of liquid fluid filter, in its internal part a filter element is also found, and already furnished with tube (6) and more practically in its use. As shown in Figure 2B, the liquid fluid filter element consists generally of filter media (1) that can be formed by lengthy paper folders, or other materials and this filter media (1) at its middle is furnished with strengthener (4) , to bind filter media and strengthener (4) , at the bottom is given a lower ring (3) and at the upper part is given also an upper ring (2) , whereby this strengthener ring is fixed to unity with the filter media (1) and the strengthener (2) . This liquid fluid filter elements are generally furnished with one- directional valve (5) which is attached to the upper ring (2) .
This one-directional valve (5) is useful in case the fluid flow passing exceeds the filter media (2) capacity, the fluid can still flow through this one-directional valve (5) . The presently available liquid fluid filters, their strengthener models are of cylinder form furnished with holes,
Figure 3A, or strengtheners made of expanded, so as to have diamond-style holes, Figure 3B, or strengtheners made of plate coil with plain holes, Figure 3C. The preferable form of this invention, is liquid fluid filter with liquid fluid flow, Figure 4A, with filter media parts (1) made of lengthy folds and uniform and unified so that to form cylinder or is made of porous media of cylinder form; furnished with strengthener that simultaneously acts as fluid flow guide (6) and at its both ends are bound with the upper ring (2) and the lower ring (3) . Figure 4B shows in more detail this invention by showing the front view of the air filter element half with the air flow guide (7) . In detail, this liquid fluid strengthener and simultaneously liquid fluid guide is shown in Figure 4C, whereby this liquid fluid guide is made of a relatively stiff material, such as steel plate, plastic and other polymers, having holes (a) and followed by cut half-cone indentations (b) on its whole surface and having uniform direction. By the presence of this fluid flow guide, the flowing fluid can be guided to one certain direction. Figure 5A, shows fluid flow direction when the fluid getting into this flow guide and on the other hand in Figure 5B, shows the fluid flow direction when the fluid comes out of this flow guide. By the presence of variation of this fluid flow direction, the flow guide (7) the fluid at the liquid fluid flow filter can be mounted at the outer part of the liquid fluid flow filter element, Figure 6. If these holes (a) followed by cut half-cone indentations (b) have certain attack angle (c) , the flow direction will also change following this attack angle (c) , Figure 7B. In Figure 7A is shown a liquid fluid filter element with the flow guide (7) which is mounted at the inner part of the liquid fluid filter element having a certain attack angle . Of course in this case it should be understood, that what is explained by referring to the figures in accordance with this invention, not limited to only that described above. The previous information as to this invention already represents the purpose of illustration and description. All variations and modifications can be done by experts relating with this invention, and still be considered within the scope of this invention found in the claims.
