The DE 44 02 238 C2 and the WO 98/35580 A disclose a cleaning device for the shaving head of a dry shaver. The cleaning device has a receiving part for the shaving head of the shaver and at least one cleaning liquid container. The receiving part is arranged above the liquid level of the cleaning liquid and can be supplied via a motor-driven conveyor with cleaning liquid from the cleaning liquid container. For this purpose, the receiving part via an overflow device and / or connected via at least one outlet opening with the cleaning liquid container.

Although with the known cleaning devices can be achieved in part very good cleaning results. But they are relatively expensive constructed and / or claim a comparatively large footprint.

The invention has the object of providing an electrical cleaning device for a razor in such a way that it can be produced with little effort and requires the smallest possible footprint.

This object is achieved by an electric cleaning device with the combination of features of claim 1.

The razor cleaning device according to the invention has an upper part with a cleaning container for receiving the razor in the region of its shaving head and with a cleaning device for a cleaning liquid driven by an electric motor. The peculiarity of the cleaning device according to the invention is that the upper part is supported on a replaceable cartridge for storing the cleaning liquid.

The device according to the invention has the advantage that it has a replaceable cartridge and yet is compact and simple. The fact that the cartridge is not surrounded by the housing of the cleaning device, on the one hand eliminates a complicated mechanism for inserting and removing the cartridge and on the other hand requires the cleaning device with the same cartridge volume a smaller footprint.

The upper part and the cartridge can be releasably connected to each other by a coupling device. This ensures a secure hold of the upper part on the cartridge and still allows a replacement of the cartridge. In particular, the coupling device can be formed by cooperating coupling elements on the underside of the upper part and on the upper side of the cartridge. Such arranged coupling elements are not visible in the coupled state of the upper part and the cartridge from the outside and thus do not interfere with the visual impression. The coupling device may be formed, for example, as a screw, which made with little effort can be and is easy to use. Likewise, it is also possible to form the coupling device as a latching mechanism, so that a cartridge change can be performed very quickly. In order to facilitate the handling during the cartridge change, the upper part may have feet for parking the upper part when the cartridge is removed.

Furthermore, the upper part may have an activation device for the at least temporary commissioning of the shaver. This has the advantage that it is possible to achieve a particularly good cleaning result. In this case, the activation device can be designed in particular as at least one electrical contact. In a preferred embodiment, the outer shape of the cartridge in the transition region to the upper part is adapted to the outer shape of the upper part, in order to allow an optimal connection between the upper part and the cartridge and to achieve a pleasing visual appearance.

Also, the invention relates to a system consisting of a razor and the cleaning device according to the invention. The shaver has a cleaning function that can be activated by the cleaning device for the temporary operation of the shaver during the cleaning process. This has the advantage that the razor can be equipped with an optimal for his design cleaning program and the cost of implementing the cleaning program can be omitted in the cleaning device.

The invention will be explained below with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings.

Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the cleaning device 1 according to the invention in a perspective view. The cleaning device 1 has an upper part 2 with a receiving opening 3 into which an electric shaver 4 is inserted in the region of its shaving head. In the upper part 2, the components required for the operation of the cleaning device 1 are arranged. These components are not visible from the outside and therefore in Fig. 1 are not shown, it is for example a conveyor for conveying a cleaning liquid, an electric motor for driving the conveyor, etc. Below the upper part 2, an interchangeable cartridge 5 is arranged, which is designed as a lower part of the cleaning device 1 and carries the upper part 2. In addition to its function as a supporting part of the cleaning device 1, the cartridge 5 is used to store the cleaning liquid. If the cleaning liquid is used up or heavily soiled, then by replacing the cartridge 5 fresh cleaning liquid is provided. In the illustrated embodiment, the outer lateral surfaces of the upper part 2 and the cartridge 5 merge into each other without radial offset, so that the cartridge 5 visually does not appear as a foreign component in appearance, but forms an integral part of the cleaning device 1. To achieve a good stability, the cleaning device 1 tapers from bottom to top. This applies both to the upper part 2 and to the cartridge 5. In this case, both the upper part 2 and the cartridge 5 have a circular cross-section in wide areas.

Fig. 2 shows the embodiment Fig. 1 without the razor 4, so that the view is released to a cleaning container 6 accessible via the receiving opening 3, in which the razor 4 is immersed during the cleaning process. The cleaning container 6 can be filled with cleaning liquid, which is conveyed by the conveyor from the cartridge 5 into the cleaning container 6. In the region of the cleaning container 6 electrical contacts 7 are arranged, which abut against corresponding contact points of the shaver 4, when immersed in the cleaning container 6. On the outside of the upper part 2, an electrical terminal 8 is provided, via which the upper part 2, an operating voltage can be supplied. Furthermore, the upper part 2 may also have a figuratively not shown switch for starting the cleaning process, if an automatic starting of the cleaning operation when touching the electrical contacts 7 by the razor 4 is not desired.

Through the electrical contacts 7 of the shaving head of the razor 4 can be taken during the cleaning operation in operation, so that a relative movement between the components of the shaving head and the cleaning liquid is generated and thereby an intensive cleaning effect can be achieved. Depending on the design of the cleaning device 1, a cleaning program stored in the razor 4, for example, can be started via the electrical contacts 7, with which the shaving head is automatically put into operation for one or more periods of time. In the cleaning program, a soaking time without shaving head operation is provided in each case between the operating phases. The deposit of the cleaning program in the shaver 4 allows a relative However, it is also possible to deposit the cleaning program in the cleaning device 1 and to control the razor 4 according to the cleaning program via the electrical contacts 7. In addition, a razor 4, which is operated with a battery, via the electrical contacts 7, a charging current to be supplied.

Depending on the design of the cleaning device 1, the shaving head of the shaver 4 is surrounded by a liquid flow during the cleaning process, which is generated by the conveyor, or immersed in the rather static in the cleaning tank 6 existing cleaning liquid. After the cleaning process, the cleaning liquid, including the contaminants detached from the shaving head, flows back into the cartridge 5, in which the contaminants sediment over time. In order to prevent the contaminants are conveyed back into the cleaning container 6 together with the cleaning liquid, a filter can be provided.

Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of the cleaning device 1 according to the invention with removed cartridge 5 in a perspective view. The upper part 2 has on its underside in a central position a tubular extension 9, which is provided with an internal thread 10 at least in a subsection adjacent to the underside. The cartridge 5 has on its upper side also in a central position a circular opening 11, the edge of which is provided with an external thread 12. The internal thread 10 and the external thread 12 are coordinated so that the upper part 2 can be screwed onto the cartridge 5 and thereby a releasable mechanical connection between the upper part 2 and the cartridge 5 can be made. For this purpose, the tubular extension 9 of the upper part 2 is inserted into the opening 11 of the cartridge 5 so far that the internal thread 10 bears against the external thread 12. Thereafter, the upper part 2 and the cartridge 5 are rotated against each other and thereby screwed. By the respective central arrangement of the internal thread 10 and the external thread 12, the underside of the upper part 2 and the top of the cartridge 5 are in the screwed state congruent to each other. The tubular extension 9 dives so far through the opening 11 in the cartridge 5, that a promotion of the cleaning liquid from the cartridge 5 is possible. In order to enable a determination of the level of the cleaning liquid, a viewing window 13 is inserted into the lateral surface of the cartridge 5, through which the level of the cleaning liquid can be read. If the filling level is too low, the cartridge 5 is unscrewed from the upper part 2 and a new cartridge 5 is screwed to the upper part 2.

Fig. 4 shows a further embodiment of the cleaning device 1 according to the invention with removed cartridge 5 in a perspective view. This embodiment differs from the embodiment of Fig. 3 in particular with regard to the formation of the coupling mechanism between the upper part 2 and the cartridge 5. In contrast to the embodiment of Fig. 3 is not a screw, but a bayonet connection provided. For this purpose, for example, a latching element 14 is formed on the tubular extension 9 of the upper part 2, which can be engaged in a arranged in the region of the opening 11 of the cartridge 5 counterpart 15. To engage the locking element 14 in the counterpart 15, the underside of the upper part 2 and the top of the cartridge 5 are approximated in a predetermined angular position and then rotated by a defined angle of rotation relative to each other. In order to facilitate the engagement, the cartridge 5 has on its upper side a guide opening 16 into which a pin 17 arranged on the underside of the upper part 2 is threaded during the latching process. The guide opening 16 is formed as a slot which is curved in accordance with a circular arc. In a first end position of the pin 17 in the guide opening 16, the locking element 14 is engaged in the counterpart 15, so that the upper part 2 and the cartridge 5 are firmly connected. In a second end position, the counterpart 15 releases the locking element 14, so that the cartridge 5 can be separated from the upper part 2.

In order to facilitate the replacement of the cartridge 5, the upper part 2 has in the embodiment according to Fig. 4 via three feet 18, which are arranged on the underside of the upper part 2 and on which the removed from the cartridge 5 upper part 2 can be parked. Thus, the assembly of the upper part 2 and the cartridge 5 is not hindered by the feet 18, the cartridge 5 at its top three additional openings 19 which are shaped similar to the guide opening 16 and the feet 18 record.
