  • Advertising display devices are usually placed at the top of the product shelves. They are mounted on the same rails as the shelves are.
  • Typical shelf systems comprise shelves, substantially horizontal shelf brackets and vertical rails, see for example US 4070803.
  • the vertical rails have a plurality of vertically aligned slots along the length of the rails. Hook members on one end of the shelf brackets are configured to lockingly fit within the slots.
  • the shelf brackets are thus releasably attached to the rails.
  • the shelves are supported by the brackets.
  • brackets used for the advertising display devices function much in the same way.
  • the difference is that the other end of the brackets are configured to lockingly fit within slots in the advertising display devices.
  • the drawback of such typical advertising display devices is that the vertical rails are usually spaced apart at set fixed intervals, thus limiting the distance between the brackets to the same intervals.
  • the manufacturers of advertising display devices are therefore bound to stick to these intervals when making the slots in the advertising displays.
  • the shop fittings personnel has to bring advertising displays with several different bracket distances. What makes it worse is that these intervals between the rails vary depending on producer and geographic area in the world.
  • An object of the present invention is therefore to provide an advertising display device which is mountable independent of the distance between the rails.
  • an advertising display device comprising a first display holder which is arranged to hold a removable display, and at least one bracket, said display holder is provided with at least a first longitudinal guide element, wherein said at least one bracket is arranged to be displaceably mounted in said first longitudinal guide element.

  • the gist of the invention is to provide an advertising display device which has adjustable brackets.
  • the advertising display device is independent of the distance between the rails. It can handle any distance as long as the guide elements in the advertising display device are at least as long as the distance between the rails. It will reduce the assortment of devices needed, thus cutting the costs for the manufacturers in the long run. The shop fittings personnel do not have to bring a series of different advertising display devices.
  • advertising means any kind of information or advertisement for a product and also the mere displaying of a brand, and the like.
  • the advertising display device comprises a display holder which is arranged to hold said removable display at a front surface of the display holder, wherein said front surface, a back surface and a top surface of the display holder define a space, within which a light source is mounted for illumination of said removable display. This enhances the visual effect of said removable display and attracts the attention of the customers passing by.
  • the display holder of the advertising display device is provided with a second longitudinal guide element, wherein a second display holder is displaceably mountable at said second longitudinal guide element.
  • a second display holder is displaceably mountable at said second longitudinal guide element.
  • Said additional display holder holds a second removable display which, for example, is a regular advertising display or a monitor showing advertisement in the form of motion pictures.
  • the display holder of the advertising display device comprises two front plates, defining a space between them for receiving said removable display in the space.

  • the advertising display device further comprises two brackets 40, which are displaceably mounted at the guide element 30. More particularly, a plate portion 44 of each bracket 40 is removably and displaceably received inside of the "L" along a corresponding portion of the guide rail 30. Thereby, the brackets 40 support the display holder 10.
  • the advertising display device is configured to be mounted on vertical support rails 50.
  • the support rails 50 have a plurality of vertically aligned slots 52 along the length of the support rails 50.
  • the support rails 50 may be mounted to a wall or they may be configured to be a part of a stand-alone rail arrangement.
  • Each bracket 40 is provided with hook members 42, which are configured to lockingly fit into the slots 52 in the support rails 50.
  • the support rails 50 are spaced apart by a distance L.
  • a user utilizing the present invention, is capable of mounting the advertising display device, independently of the distance L. He mounts, for example, two brackets 40 at the longitudinal guide element 30, estimates the distance L between the support rails 50, slides the brackets 40 in place with an approximate same spaced apart distance L, hooks one of the brackets 40 in place in one of the support rails, adjusts the other bracket 40 until it seems to be in place, and finally hooks it in the support rail 50.
  • the advertising display device according to the present invention is not bound to be mounted at the top part of the support rails 50, but may be mounted anywhere along the support rails 50.
  • the design of the brackets 40 and the display holder 10 are in no way limited to the design in the drawing, but may be modified, as will be appreciated by those skilled in the art, to fit with any rail configuration.
  • the longitudinal guide element 30 or the support rails 50 are, for example, not bound to be horizontally or vertically constructed.
  • a light source 46 is mounted inside of the advertising display device for illumination of the advertising display 20.
  • the display holder 10 is provided with a second longitudinal guide element 60, consisting of, in this embodiment, a second and a third longitudinal guide rail 62, 64, at the top of the display holder 10.
  • a second display holder 66 is displaceably mounted at the second guide element 60, by means of a display bracket 68 which is removably and slidably engaged with the second and third guide rails 62, 64.
  • this second display holder 66 may hold a second removable display 70 of the same sort as the first removable display 20, but preferably the second display is a monitor, for example a flat screen, showing advertisements in the form of motion pictures.
  • the second display holder 66 is, thus, freely displaceable along the second guide element 60.
  • the second display holder 66 comprises a light source 54, and two light pervious front plates 56, 58, a front one thereof being detachably attached to a rear one thereof, for receiving the second removable display 70 between them.
  • the rear, or inner, front plate 56 is preferably opal
  • the outer front plate 58 is preferably a transparent layer. This will make the light distribution of the display diffuse and pleasant.
  • At least one of the guide elements is a groove, formed either as a recess in a surface of the display holder, or as a space between protrusions, such as twp opposite L-shaped rails, protruding from the surface.
