It is believed the recessed surface of the reinforcing film provides excellent adhesion while still allowing manual removal of the labels if desired. The film also acts as an excellent receptor surface for labels having a cold liquid glue adhesive. Strong adhesion is achieved while still allowing manual removal of the labels. Other adhesives may also be suitable.
  • a cellulose based film and appropriate adhesive allows for moisture exchange through the film similar to the paper stock. This provides advantages with respect to adhesion and retention of labels. Furthermore, the cellulous based film folds or creases in a manner similar to paper stock. The tendency of the film to return from a folded to a flat condition is reduced.
  • the file folder can be reconditioned or reused for a subsequent application. It has been found that some industries, such as the medical or insurance industries, reuse file folders by removing the prior contents of the file folders. Under these circumstances, it is desirable to remove all existing labels such as labels 36 applied to the labeling tab and to remove any printed indicia 32 from the surface of the reinforcing film.

  • recycling of the file folder is simplified as all components are of a cellulose based material or of a material easily recycled during recycling of a paper substrate material.

It is also beneficial to use this cellulose based film having a matte finish on a labeling tab as superior labeling surface.   • the file folder with the recyclable film allows erasing of pen, marker or pencil markings, is water resistance, reduces paper cuts, is dirt resistance and is easily cleaned to improve hygiene.
  • Curable ink is not removable with an eraser and as such can be used for more permanent identification. Printing on the acetate reinforcing film using an ultra violet curable ink provides permanent marking and great clarity. This ink also cures quickly allowing fast production rates.

Claims (26)

  1. Chemise comprenant un substrat de papier support (2) plié pour former un panneau avant (23a), un panneau arrière (23b) et un onglet d'étiquetage (24) le long d'un bord dudit panneau arrière, ladite chemise (23) comprenant en outre un film de renfort à base de cellulose (12) collé sur un côté avant et un côté arrière dudit onglet d'étiquetage (24) et s'étendant au moins sur une région frontière sur une surface extérieure dudit panneau arrière.
  2. Chemise telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 1, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort à base de cellulose (12) est collé audit substrat de papier (2) par un adhésif à l'eau.
  3. Chemise telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 1 ou 2, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (2) à un fini extérieur mat (18).
  4. Chemise telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 1, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) est un film respirant multicouche comportant une couche externe en cellulose et une couche adhésive sous-jacente collant ladite couche en cellulose sur ledit substrat de papier (4).
  5. Chemise telle que revendiquée dans les revendications 1 à 4, dans laquelle le film de renfort (12) couvre au moins 50% de la surface extérieure de ladite chemise (23).
  6. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 3 comprenant une série d'étiquettes indépendantes (36) collées sur ledit onglet d'étiquetage (24), chaque étiquette indépendante (36) comportant une couche d'un film à base de cellulose.
  7. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 6, dans laquelle chaque étiquette indépendante comprend une couche adhésive à base d'eau qui fixe l'étiquette au film de renfort (12).
  8. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 7, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) comporte une surface extérieure texturée fournissant une meilleure adhésion aux adhésifs à base d'eau et une meilleure adhésion aux encres coopérantes.
  9. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 8, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) s'étend sur, et couvre d'une manière générale, les surfaces extérieures desdits panneaux avant et arrière.
  10. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 9, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) comprend des inscriptions imprimées (32) sur la surface du film de renfort (12) pour aider l'utilisateur à enregistrer manuellement des informations sur ledit film de renfort (12).
  11. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 10, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) fournit une surface effaçable pour le marquage avec des encres et des crayons conventionnels.

  15. Chemise composite (23) telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 1, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) est transparent et ledit papier support (2) comprend des impressions sur sa surface, visibles au travers dudit film de renfort (12).
  16. Chemise composite (23) telle que revendiquée dans l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 15, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) couvre au moins 75% de la surface extérieure de ladite chemise (23).
  17. Chemise composite (23) telle que revendiquée dans la revendication 1 ou la revendication 16, dans laquelle ledit papier support (2) comprend une région codée sur lesdits panneaux avant et arrière qui a été colorée pour donner un code couleur à ladite chemise (23), ladite région codée étant couverte par ledit film de renfort (12) à travers lequel elle est visible.
  18. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 17, dans laquelle le papier support (2) a une épaisseur dans la gamme allant de 0,25 à 0,41 mm (10 à 16 millièmes de pouce) et ledit film de renfort (12) a une épaisseur inférieure à 15,2 µm (0,6 millième de pouce).
  19. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans l'une quelconque des revendications de 1 à 18, dans laquelle ledit film de renfort (12) est fixé pour couvrir de manière générale les surfaces intérieures et extérieures dudit panneau avant et dudit panneau arrière.
  20. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 19, dans laquelle ladite chemise (23) comporte deux onglets d'étiquetage (24) et ledit film de renfort (12) couvre les deux côtés de chaque onglet d'étiquetage (24).
  21. Chemise (23) telle que revendiquée dans l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 20, dans laquelle ladite chemise (23) est recyclable.
  22. Procédé de fabrication de chemises (23) comprenant le déplacement d'un substrat en papier allongé (2) devant une station de plastification, l'apport à ladite station de plastification d'un film de renfort (12) ayant une surface d'enregistrement à fini mat (18) fait d'un matériau à base de cellulose et d'une couche sous-jacente thermo-adhésive, le chauffage dudit film de renfort (12) pour activer ladite couche thermo-adhésive, l'alignement dudit film de renfort (12) afin qu'au moins un bord dudit film recouvre un bord dudit substrat en papier (2), la fixation dudit film de renfort multicouche (12) audit substrat en papier (2) afin que ledit renfort s'étende de manière générale sur au moins 50% de la largeur dudit substrat en papier (2), ledit film de renfort (12) étant fixé audit substrat en papier (2) en appliquant une pression sur ladite surface d'enregistrement pour mettre ladite couche thermo-adhésive en contact étroit avec ledit substrat en papier (2), le pliage et le collage dudit substrat en papier (2) pour former un bord renforcé (20) avec ladite surface d'enregistrement à fini mat (18) autour dudit bord renforcé (20), le découpage dudit bord renforcé (20) pour former une série d'onglets d'étiquetage (24), la coupe dudit substrat (2) sur sa largeur pour former des chemises séparées (23), et le pliage desdites chemises séparées (23) autour d'une ligne charnière pour former des panneaux avant et arrière (23a, 23b) avec lesdits onglets d'étiquetage (24) sur les côtés latéraux desdits panneaux arrière (23b) et ledit film de renfort (12) sur l'extérieur desdits panneaux (23a, 23b) et sur ladite ligne charnière (28).
  23. Procédé tel que revendiqué dans la revendication 22, dans lequel ledit film de renfort (12) est légèrement moins large que la largeur dudit substrat en papier (2) et ledit film de renfort (12) est maintenu aligné avec ledit substrat en papier (2) pour être dans la largeur de celui-ci.
  24. Procédé tel que revendiqué dans la revendication 23, dans lequel ledit procédé comprend l'impression sur ledit substrat en papier (2) avant ladite station de plastification des inscriptions (6) ou des marques dans le but d'apporter une aide à l'utilisation de la chemise (23) et dans lequel ledit film de renfort (12) est en général transparent et appliqué sur lesdites inscriptions (6) ou marques.
  25. Procédé tel que revendiqué dans la revendication 24, dans lequel ledit procédé comprend l'impression sur ledit film de renfort (12) après l'application du film de renfort (12) sur le substrat en papier (2).
  26. Procédé tel que revendiqué dans la revendication 22 pour fabriquer des chemises (23) de différentes couleurs comprenant la conservation d'une série de films de renfort (12) de différentes couleurs, la sélection du film de renfort coloré (12) à appliquer puis l'application dudit film de renfort (12).
