Claims (11)

  1. Connection device for connecting a spark plug (10) and an ignition coil (12) having an ignition coil housing (14), wherein the connection device has a receptacle space (16) for the connecting bolt (18) of the spark plug (10) and a contact element (20) which is arranged at the receptacle space (16) and has the purpose of making electrical contact between the connecting bolt (18) of the spark plug (10) and the ignition coil (12), wherein at least part of the ignition coil housing (14) and at least the adjoining part of the spark plug (10) are surrounded by an insulating elastic material (22), characterized in that the receptacle space (16) for the connecting bolt (18) of the spark plug (10) is preformed so as to taper with respect to said connecting bolt (18) in such a way that the insulating elastic material (22) or an electrically conductive silicone (30) which is surrounded by the insulating elastic material (22) is integrally moulded onto the spark plug contour in an elastic fashion in the region of the connecting bolt (18).
  2. Connection device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the housing (14) of the ignition coil (12) is essentially completely surrounded by the insulating elastic material (22).
  3. Connection device according to one of Claims 1 to 2, characterized in that at least part of the ignition coil housing is formed from an insulating elastic material, and at least the adjoining part of the spark plug is surrounded by the insulating elastic material.
  4. Connection device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that a receptacle space (24) for the insulator part (26) of the spark plug (10) is preformed in the insulating elastic material (22), wherein the receptacle space (16) for the connecting bolt (18) of the spark plug (10) is preformed so as to preferably taper with respect to said connecting bolt (18).
  5. Connection device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that at least the insulator part (26) of the spark plug (10) which adjoins the connecting bolt (18) is surrounded by the insulating elastic material (22).
  6. Connection device according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the contact element (20) has an elastic contact-forming part forming electrical contact between the connecting bolt (18) of the spark plug (10) and the ignition coil (12).
  7. Connection device according to Claim 6, characterized in that the elastic contact-forming part has a spring contact (28).
  8. Connection device according to Claim 6, characterized in that the elastic contact-forming part is formed from an electrically conductive elastic material (30), and the receptacle space (16) for the connecting bolt (18) of the spark plug (10) is preformed in the electrically conductive elastic material (30).
  9. Connection device according to Claim 8, characterized in that the elastic contact-forming part is surrounded by the insulating elastic material (22).
  10. Connection device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the insulating elastic material (22) is a non-conductive silicone.
  11. Connection device according to one of Claims 8 to 10, characterized in that the electrically conductive elastic material (30) is an electrically conductive silicone.
