Description

The present invention relates to a dual electric pump for the maintenance of pools as disclosed in the document FR-A-2705384 .

We know that the maintenance of swimming pools requires the circulation of several streams of water. Thus, the water of the basin circulates in a set of filtration, water is transmitted to a cleaning robot of the swimming pool, water is used to suck debris, leaves and others deposited on the surface of the swimming pool , water is taken by a drain at the bottom of the pool, etc. These various circulations of water are provided by respective pumps, each adapted to the flow and pressure required.

The multiplicity of pumps, and therefore the motors that drive them, complicates the equipment of swimming pools, and the invention aims to reduce this complication.

More specifically, the invention relates to a dual pump having a single electric motor, intended to act as two different pumps usually used for the maintenance of swimming pools.

Although the use of such a double pump can be applied to different streams of the pool, the invention is described in its application to the circulation of the filtration stream and to the circulation of the feed stream of a robot. of cleaning.

More specifically, the invention relates to a double pump with an electric motor, having a shaft each end of which drives a respective pump.

According to the invention, an electric motor pump for the maintenance of pools comprises an electric motor having a drive shaft, the shaft having, at each of its axial ends, a shaft outlet, and two pumping wheels. , each shaft output driving a respective pumping wheel, a first of the wheels operating at low pressure and high flow, and the second of the wheels operating at higher pressure and lower flow.

The pool maintenance system is thus simplified, since only one electric motor, and therefore only one electrical connection, is necessary, and the programming filtering and operating times of the cleaning robot is simplified.

It is advantageous for the water pumped by the second pump wheel to be withdrawn near the outlet of the first pump wheel and to join the inlet of the second wheel. Preferably, the draw location is in a low pressure pump body upstream of the low pressure outlet.

Thus, the pump is a pump with two output stages operating in parallel and partially in series, capable of giving the flow rates and pressures necessary for example for the filtration and operation of a cleaning robot, with excellent efficiency.

According to a very advantageous characteristic, the water pumped by the second pump wheel, between the withdrawal location and the inlet to the second pump wheel circulates around the engine to cool it.

In this way, the electric motor of the pump is cooled in all operating conditions, and no special ventilation of the room is necessary, so that the loss of energy is reduced to a minimum.

In a first variant, the circulation of the water pumped by the second pumping wheel takes place in a serpentine pipe which surrounds the engine.

In a second variant, the circulation of the water pumped by the second pump wheel takes place in a cylindrical space formed around the motor, between the latter and an outer casing.

It is advantageous that the assembly formed by the motor, the housing, the two pump wheels and the high pressure pump body is removably connected to the body of the low pressure pump. In an exemplary embodiment, the removable connection between said assembly and the low pressure pump body is made by bayonet engagement. It is then advantageous that the low pressure pump body is incorporated in a concrete block also containing a pool water filtration device.

In one application example, the wheel operating at low pressure and high flow rate is intended for the filtration of the water of the basin, and the other wheel operating at higher pressure and lower flow is intended for a cleaning robot. swimming pool.

  • la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'une pompe vue du côté des sorties d'eau ;
  • la figure 3 est une vue en élévation latérale en coupe partielle de la pompe des figures 1 et 2 ;
  • la figure 4 est une vue en perspective d'un autre mode de réalisation de pompe double selon l'invention ;
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge more clearly from the following description of exemplary embodiments, with reference to the appended drawings in which:
  • the figure 1 is a perspective view of a pump seen from the side of the water outlets;
  • the figure 2 is another perspective view of the pump on the side of the high pressure pumping wheel:
  • the figure 3 is a side elevational view in partial section of the pump of Figures 1 and 2 ;
  • the figure 4 is a perspective view of another embodiment of dual pump according to the invention;
  • the figure 5 is a section of the lower part of the pump shown on the figure 4 ; and
  • the figure 6 is a half-cut of the pump the figure 4 , by a plane different from the cutting plane of the figure 5 .

On the Figures 1 to 3 , a pump 1 comprises an electric motor 2 having a shaft, each end of which forms a shaft outlet 3 intended to drive a pump wheel. At a first end, a first wheel 4 provides a low pressure pump and large flow, for the filtration circuit of the pool, while at the opposite end of the engine, the other shaft outlet causes a second 6 medium or high pressure pumping wheel and low flow, for the control of a pool cleaning robot. The pool water enters through an axial mouth 11 and out of the low pressure pump 4 through an outlet 12, to the pool of the pool.

According to an advantageous but not essential characteristic, the water intended for the pump wheel 6 is withdrawn near the outlet of the pump wheel 4 at low pressure. On the figure 2 in particular, reference 7 designates a connection of a pipe 8 which feeds, through an inlet 9, the medium or high pressure pump whose output bears the reference 10.

In the embodiment shown, the pipe 8 surrounds the housing 13 of the motor forming a coil disposed in intimate contact with this housing, for example by welding. The water circulating in the pipe 8 ensures efficient cooling of the electric motor placed in the housing 13. This feature is very advantageous because the electric motor is optimally cooled, without the need to ventilate the room where it is located. 1a pump, in an efficient way and without energy consumption.

In an exemplary embodiment, a 1700 W electric motor powered with alternating current at 220 V, drives a first pumping wheel 4 which gives a flow rate of 18 m 3 / h at a pressure of 1.3 bar, and a second wheel pumping 6 which gives a flow rate of 2 m 3 / h at a pressure of 2.8 bar for the operation of the robot. The second pump wheel 6 thus raises the pressure of the water intended for the operation of the robot from 1.3 to 2.8 bar.

The examples given for the power of the motor and for the flow rates and pressures of the pump wheels used for the filtration and for the operation of the robot are only examples that must be modified according to the technical characteristics of the pool and in particular the dimensions of the pump. his pelvis. When the robot is not in use, the water from the second pump wheel can be passed directly to the pool or used for another purpose.

The Figures 4 to 6 represent another embodiment of double pump according to the invention. This pump 14 draws water through an inlet 15 and transmits it in the form of a low pressure and high flow rate. An output 17 transmits a current at high or medium pressure and low flow.

Le rotor 20 est solidaire d'un arbre ayant deux sorties ou extrémités 21 et 22.The pump is driven by an electric motor 18 which comprises a stator 19 and a rotor 20. The stator comprises windings supplied with electric current, conventionally, not shown. The rotor 20 is integral with a shaft having two outlets or ends 21 and 22.

The first low pressure and high flow pumping wheel 23 is mounted on a first shaft outlet 21. As indicated by FIG. figure 5 this wheel rotates in a centrifugal pump body which opens out through the outlet 16. Before this outlet 16, a hole 24 connects a location near the outlet of this pump to an annular space 25 which communicates through holes 26 with a space 27 formed between an inner conduit 28, forming a motor support 18 placed inside, and a housing 29, concentric with the conduit 28. The space 27 is a cylindrical space formed around the motor.

Cette roue de pompage 30 est montée sur l'autre extrémité 22 de l'arbre du moteur électrique 18.This space, fed by the holes 26 placed at the lower part of the pump as shown in FIG. figure 6 , joined, in the upper part of this figure, a second pump wheel 30 for raising the pressure of the water thus transmitted. The high or medium pressure water and low flow is thus discharged through the outlet 17. This pump wheel 30 is mounted on the other end 22 of the shaft of the electric motor 18.

We also note on the figure 6 that the motor 18 is sealed from the two pump wheels by lip seals 31. The electric motor 18 is thus sealed inside the space of the duct 28. The stator 19 is force-fitted in the conduit 28, so that the heat exchange between the stator 19 and the water flowing in the cylindrical space 27, through the metal conduit 28, is excellent.

The Figures 4, 5 and 6 represent another advantageous characteristic of the pump according to the invention, used for the maintenance of swimming pools. According to this characteristic, the assembly represented on the figure 6 that is, the motor, the housing, the two pump wheels and the entire body of the high pressure pump, form an assembly that can be separated from the body of the low pressure pump. As the figure 5 , the whole represented on the figure 6 and the body of the low pressure pump cooperate through two seals 35, arranged substantially in the same plane and concentric with each other.

The holding of the whole represented on the figure 6 , secured by bolts 32, is provided by tabs 33, integral with the removable assembly shown on the figure 6 , inserted under fingers 34 protruding from the body of the low pressure pump. These tongue and finger assemblies are regularly distributed around the pump so that the assembly represented on the figure 6 can be attached to the body of the low pressure pump by rotation about its axis, the tongues 33 and the fingers 34 forming a locking assembly of the bayonet type.

In this case, the body of the low pressure pump can be robustly connected to the pool filtration assembly and other components, all poured into concrete. Parts that may require servicing, that is, the assembly shown on the figure 6 , can be easily separated from the low pressure pump body which is then integrated into the concrete block containing the pool filtration system.

Thus, as a dual pump replaces two pumps usually used, the invention allows a considerable reduction in the cost of installation. As the engine undergoes excellent cooling, on the one hand it can operate with a good efficiency in all the conditions of use, and on the other hand the temperature of the rotating parts, bearings, joints and other wearing parts remains low, so that the duration of use of the pump is considerably longer. Since only one double pump is used instead of two pumps, the volume required for installation is reduced. In addition, as there is only one engine, operating noise is reduced, especially since no ventilation is needed for engine cooling. In addition, since the motor drives a pump at each end, it can be easily balanced.

Although the invention has been described with reference to a pump used to circulate water in the filtration circuit and for the operation of the cleaning robot, other applications are possible. For example, when the operation of the cleaning robot is not necessary, it is possible to use the high or medium pressure flow for any other type of basin cleaning device, massage, multiplication of flow for example for the filtration circuit, etc.

Of course, various modifications can be made by those skilled in the art to the pumps that have just been described by way of non-limiting example without departing from the scope of the invention.
