Abstract
Description
We know that the maintenance of swimming pools requires the circulation of several streams of water. Thus, the water of the basin circulates in a set of filtration, water is transmitted to a cleaning robot of the swimming pool, water is used to suck debris, leaves and others deposited on the surface of the swimming pool , water is taken by a drain at the bottom of the pool, etc. These various circulations of water are provided by respective pumps, each adapted to the flow and pressure required.
The multiplicity of pumps, and therefore the motors that drive them, complicates the equipment of swimming pools, and the invention aims to reduce this complication.
More specifically, the invention relates to a dual pump having a single electric motor, intended to act as two different pumps usually used for the maintenance of swimming pools.
Although the use of such a double pump can be applied to different streams of the pool, the invention is described in its application to the circulation of the filtration stream and to the circulation of the feed stream of a robot. of cleaning.
More specifically, the invention relates to a double pump with an electric motor, having a shaft each end of which drives a respective pump.
According to the invention, an electric motor pump for the maintenance of pools comprises an electric motor having a drive shaft, the shaft having, at each of its axial ends, a shaft outlet, and two pumping wheels. , each shaft output driving a respective pumping wheel, a first of the wheels operating at low pressure and high flow, and the second of the wheels operating at higher pressure and lower flow.
The pool maintenance system is thus simplified, since only one electric motor, and therefore only one electrical connection, is necessary, and the programming filtering and operating times of the cleaning robot is simplified.
It is advantageous for the water pumped by the second pump wheel to be withdrawn near the outlet of the first pump wheel and to join the inlet of the second wheel. Preferably, the draw location is in a low pressure pump body upstream of the low pressure outlet.
Thus, the pump is a pump with two output stages operating in parallel and partially in series, capable of giving the flow rates and pressures necessary for example for the filtration and operation of a cleaning robot, with excellent efficiency.
According to a very advantageous characteristic, the water pumped by the second pump wheel, between the withdrawal location and the inlet to the second pump wheel circulates around the engine to cool it.
In this way, the electric motor of the pump is cooled in all operating conditions, and no special ventilation of the room is necessary, so that the loss of energy is reduced to a minimum.
In a first variant, the circulation of the water pumped by the second pumping wheel takes place in a serpentine pipe which surrounds the engine.
In a second variant, the circulation of the water pumped by the second pump wheel takes place in a cylindrical space formed around the motor, between the latter and an outer casing.
It is advantageous that the assembly formed by the motor, the housing, the two pump wheels and the high pressure pump body is removably connected to the body of the low pressure pump. In an exemplary embodiment, the removable connection between said assembly and the low pressure pump body is made by bayonet engagement. It is then advantageous that the low pressure pump body is incorporated in a concrete block also containing a pool water filtration device.
In one application example, the wheel operating at low pressure and high flow rate is intended for the filtration of the water of the basin, and the other wheel operating at higher pressure and lower flow is intended for a cleaning robot. swimming pool.

In the embodiment shown, the
In an exemplary embodiment, a 1700 W electric motor powered with alternating current at 220 V, drives a
The examples given for the power of the motor and for the flow rates and pressures of the pump wheels used for the filtration and for the operation of the robot are only examples that must be modified according to the technical characteristics of the pool and in particular the dimensions of the pump. his pelvis. When the robot is not in use, the water from the second pump wheel can be passed directly to the pool or used for another purpose.

Thus, as a dual pump replaces two pumps usually used, the invention allows a considerable reduction in the cost of installation. As the engine undergoes excellent cooling, on the one hand it can operate with a good efficiency in all the conditions of use, and on the other hand the temperature of the rotating parts, bearings, joints and other wearing parts remains low, so that the duration of use of the pump is considerably longer. Since only one double pump is used instead of two pumps, the volume required for installation is reduced. In addition, as there is only one engine, operating noise is reduced, especially since no ventilation is needed for engine cooling. In addition, since the motor drives a pump at each end, it can be easily balanced.
Although the invention has been described with reference to a pump used to circulate water in the filtration circuit and for the operation of the cleaning robot, other applications are possible. For example, when the operation of the cleaning robot is not necessary, it is possible to use the high or medium pressure flow for any other type of basin cleaning device, massage, multiplication of flow for example for the filtration circuit, etc.
Of course, various modifications can be made by those skilled in the art to the pumps that have just been described by way of non-limiting example without departing from the scope of the invention.
