Abstract

The invention relates to a cream applicator for footwear, comprising a discoid base (1). One of the faces of the aforementioned base is provided with a rim (3) which holds a cylindrical spongy component in place, while the other face thereof comprises a diametrical bridge-type grip element (2). The lower part of said bridge defines a hole (4) comprising a central raised area (5), such that it can be gripped with two fingers. The aforementioned grip element (2), which consist of a rigid part comprising three arcs and a central raised area (6), is made from a thin discoid part (8) comprising two opposing semi-circular wings (9,10) which extend out from a diametrical segment (11) and which are articulated to same by means of two bend lines (12,13). Moreover, said wing comprise aligned holes which are used to fix the device thereto and pairs of symmetrical lugs (16,17) (fig. 1,2 and 3).

Description

    SCOPE
  • This invention refers to a cream applicator for footwear, which can also be used, as is obvious, for applying other products of a pastose or creamy nature to various surfaces and materials.
    • HISTORY
  • Different devices for applying polishing cream and/or colors to shoes, leather articles and similar are known. These have certain difficulties when holding the component of the product to be applied, causing problems during said operation.
    • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The new cream applicator for footwear and similar eliminates the above mentioned disadvantages and ensures the possibility of comfortably holding the component of the product in accordance with the planned function. The applicator consists of a discoid base with an operative face and a face provided with an attaching and handling element.
  • In order to facilitate the explanation, this description includes sketches in which a performance case of a cfream applicator is represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, according to the principles of the claims.
    • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Figure 1 represents a version of the applicator of the type described, in a perspective view of its lateral and upper part.
  • Figures 2 and 3 show another version of the applicator in limit positions of blades forming the attaching element.
    • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The elements designated with numbers in the drawings correspond to the parts indicated below.
  • The new applicator of creamy products and similar basically consists of a discoid base 1 and an attaching element 2 stemming from said base.
  • The base 1 has an edge 3 on one of its faces for holding a preferably spongy-shaped component (not shown), that contains the cream or product to be applied, and the attaching element 2 on its other face.
  • The element 2 is generally shaped as a diametric bridge with an opening 4 on its lower part in a transversal elongated shape and with a central elevation 5 that makes it easy to press with two fingers of the user's hand, such as the thumb and index finger.
  • In the version of figure 1, the attaching element 2 consists of a symmetrical bridge with three arches, central elevation 6 and two uprights 7 stemming from the base 1.
  • As regards version of figures 2 and 3, the element 2 consists of a thin discoid part 8 formed by two semi-circular blades 9 and 10 opposite each other, stemming from a diametrical area 11 and joined to it by flexible lines 12 and 13. Both blades have openings 14 and 15 in correspondence to define the attaching area of the device and two pairs of stubs 16 and 17 arranged symmetrically.
  • This second version permits, as shown in figures 2 and 3, the attaching element to adopt a folded and resting position, with the blades 9 and 10 folded on the base 1, or unfolded and ready for use with the blades unfolded perpendicular to said base 1.
  • In this last case the stubs 16 and 17 act as butts as regards the juxtaposition of the unfolded blades.

Claims (3)

  1. Cream applicator for footwear characterized by the fact it consists of:
    a) a discoid-shaped base (1) provided with an edge (3) on one of its faces to hold a preferably cylindrical-shaped spongy component and, on the other,
    b) an attaching element (2) in the shape of a diametrical bridge that defines an opening (4) on its lower part with a central elevation (5) that makes it easy to press with two fingers of the user's hand.
  2. Cream applicator for footwear, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact the attaching element (2) consists of a stiff bridge with three arches and a central elevated zone (6).
  3. Cream applicator for footwear, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact the attaching element (2) consists of a thin discoid part (8) forming the two semi-circular blades (9, 10) opposite each other, stemming from a diametrical section (11) and joined to this by two flexible lines (12, 13). Said blades have openings in correspondence for attaching the device and pairs of stubs (16, 17) arranged symmetrically.
