    - the upper sections as cross-members (22) being held in rotary manner by a column (24), which is fixed to a base plate (26), within the U-shaped holding arc (16).
  2. Rocking chair according to claim 1, characterized in that the oscillating parallelogram has a trapezoidal shape, the two cross-members (20) on the underside of the parallelogram being in the oscillating-mounted section slightly larger than the length of the oscillating rods (18) and a cross-member (22) in the upper section is greater than the length of the oscillating rods.
  3. Rocking chair according to claim 2, characterized in that the upper cross-member has approximately 1.5 times the length of the oscillating rods (18).
  4. Rocking chair according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the oscillating rods (18) of the parallelogram are inclined from the vertical by 7 to 15°.
  5. Rocking chair according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a casing (32) which, fixed to the upper cross-members (22), runs close to the outsides of the legs of the holding arc (16) and always covers the oscillating rods.
  6. Rocking chair according to claim 5, characterized by a brush edge extending to the base plate and provided on the casing (32).
  7. Rocking chair according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a movement-synchronized foot rest attached to the holding arc (16).
  8. Rocking chair according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by a fixing device engaging in corresponding locking means on the cross-member (22) and attached to the holding arc (16).
  9. Rocking chair according to one of the claims 1 to 7, characterized by a bolt provided on the holding arc (16) which engages in an arcuate perforated rail on the cross-member (22).
