Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zur Kommunikation mit einer Anlage (2), insbesondere zum Bedienen und Beobachten einer Automatisierungsanlage in der industriellen Fertigung. Ein Kommunikationsgerät (4) wird zum Datenaustausch mit der Anlage (2) an einem fest an der Anlage (2) angebrachten Anschluss (10a-c) angeschlossen. Daraufhin durchläuft das Kommunikationsgerät (4) einen Initialisierungsbetrieb, bei dem eine den Anschluss (10a-c) eindeutig kennzeichnende Kennung vom Anschluss (10a-c) zum Kommunikationsgerät (4) übertragen wird. Anschließend wechselt das Kommunikationsgerät (4) in eine Normalbetriebsart zur Prozesskopplung mit der Anlage (2)
