Description
"BACKREST FOR SEATING WITH AT LEAST ONE CLOTHES/OBJECTS HANGER"
* * * * * * *
Filed of the Invention This invention concerns the backrest for seating, such as, but not limited to, office chairs and such like. Prior Art
Some seating fixtures, in particular but not exclusively office chairs, have a backrest made up of moulded plastic shells and assembled together so as to form a front part, normally upholstered, and a back part formed by the surface of the rear shell.
Sometimes, the backrests of chairs have been equipped with a hook or something similar to hang clothes or objects on, but according to the known examples the hook was an added separate item, simply associated with and ineffective in regards to the configuration of the latter, but also implicating an increase in the dimensions. Objects and Summary of the Invention
Conversely, one of the objects of this invention is to provide a backrest for seating equipped itself with at least one means of hanging clothes or objects, so as to eliminate the use of addition and hampering components.
Another object of this invention is to provide a backrest for seating, such as office chairs and the like, directly incorporating at least one means of hanging clothes or objects, the means being advantageously part of the shape of the backrest.
These objectives are achieved, in compliance with the invention, in a backrest for chairs and such like according to claim 1. Brief Description of the Drawings
The invention will, moreover, be illustrated more in detail in the course of the description with references to the enclosed indicative and non limiting drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 is a partial view of the rear of a backrest incorporating the hook, and
Fig. 2 is a partial vertical cross-section of the backrest in direction of the arrows A-A in Fig. 1.
Detailed Description of the Invention
As shown, the backrest of the invention is indicated as a whole by 11 and can be constructed in the usual way with a matching front shell 12 and a back shell 13, joined and fitted together. The two shells 12, 13 can be made out of a plastic. The front one can be upholstered using a covering material
14, whereas the back one 13 forms the rear side of the backrest.
According to the invention, this back shell 13 is equipped with at least one hook 15 for hanging an article of clothing or an object directly onto the back. In a preferred example, the or each hook 15 is an integral part of the backrest shell 13 and is in line with a recess 16 in the profile of the rear face of the shell itself, as shown in Fig. 2. In this way and to its advantage, on making the backrest shell 13, the or each hook 15 is obtained, acting as a hanger without it protruding beyond the surface of the backrest. A reinforcement frame 17 can be provided around the recess 16.
According to another possibility, the or each hook 15 is obtained and attached, using an adhesive or some other means, to the rear shell 13 of the backrest, possibly protruding in line with a recess or hollow, having the same function and objective as the integral hook.

2. Backrest for seating according to claim 1 , where the backrest is composed of moulded plastic shells, assembled to form a front part, upholstered, and a rear side, characterized in that at least one hook (15) for hanging an item of clothing or objects is an integral part of the shell forming the rear side of the backrest.
3. Backrest for seating according to claim 2, wherein at least one hook (15) is in line with a recess (16) made in the profile of the rear side of the backrest.
4. Backrest for seating according to claim 3, wherein the edges of said recess (16) are reinforced by a frame (17).
5. Backrest for seating according to claim 1 , wherein at least one hook (15) for hanging clothes or objects is made and attached to the rear side of the backrest, protruding or in line with a hollow or recess.
