Abstract
The invention relates to an anti-dampness chest
protector for babies, which is integrated into the
baby's undergarments. The inventive protector, which
comprises a drying layer and a hypoallergenic layer,
protects the baby's chest against dampness caused by
salivary secretions, sputum and other substances as
well as protecting against the effects thereof.
Description
- The present invention refers to a device for baby underclothing, developed to avoid the contact of the salivated secretion, phlegms and regurgitations and the consequent dampness with the skin of the chest of the baby, mainly when he/she is in teething stage.
- Since now, devices or articles conceived for this purpose are unknown, being the closest device the common anti-stain bib that it is usually placed on the baby when he is going to feed, in order that the phlegms and the rest of substances do not stain the clothing, being its utility different from the one mentioned for the anti-dampness chest protector for baby, presenting in addition, the danger to originate rubbings and annoyances to the baby if a prolongated use of the rib is done with this purpose.
- The mentioned protector is made up of two sheets; a sheet or waterproof layer that protects the chest zone, avoiding the penetration of the dampness, being this sheet coated in its back side with the second sheet made of a hypoallergenic fabric that is being in contact with the skin of the baby.
- This protector is designed to be fitted together to all type of baby underclothing, being placed in such a way that, its hypoallergenic sheet contacts to the chest of the baby, being joined to the inner part of the article by means of the waterproof layer, covering the zone defined from both shoulders, lowering approximately to the breastbone.

- For better understanding of the above mentioned, it encloses with the present specification some drawings in which, only for exemplificative purposes, a practical embodiment of the anti-dampness chest protector for baby.
- At the sight of the referred drawings, it is observed how the protector is built-in by two layers or sheets, a
waterproof sheet 1, ahypoallergenic sheet 2, that combined constitute the protector shown in the figure No. 1; this protector is built-in to the inner part of the underclothing 4 by means of sewing or double stitch 3, being placed theprotector 5 inside theclothing 4 protecting the zone between shoulders and the breastbone of the baby (fig. 4). - At the sight of the commented figures, it can be observed how the protector (fig. 1) is made up of two layers or sheets (fig. 3), forming a regular object with the superimposed sheets.
- As it can be observed in fig. 2, the protector is built-in to the inner part of a body baby by means of sewing technique, including the zone between the shoulder reinforcement surrounding the neck of the clothing covering ovally until the part corresponding to the breastbone.
- As much the design of the protector, as the zone of positioning and the joining system to the article of underclothing are not limitatives, being able to be amended by any other feasible the design, the zone of positioning and the joining system.
Claims (1)
- Chest protector anti-dampness for baby, characterized in that is included in the clothing (4) of baby, the referred protector is made up of an anti-dryer sheet or layer and a hypoallergenic sheet or dryer, which utility is to protect the chest zone of the baby against the dampness caused by the salivary secretions, as well as protecting against the effects thereof.
