Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a transport and / or storage container for irradiated fuel elements, defective fuel elements and / or fuel element rods of defective fuel elements, with a container jacket, Container interior and arranged therein Storage basket for the fuel elements and / or Fuel rods, the receiving basket via plug connections made of neutron-absorbing light metal plates is assembled and the assembled Light metal plates form receiving shafts in the Metal sleeves are fitted.
In the known transport and / or storage containers The aforementioned type (DE 199 17 515 A1) serve the metal sleeves the reception of irradiated fuel assemblies. Defective fuel assemblies are with the described transport and / or Storage containers are not regularly transported or stored, because this initially with an additional security cover must be provided, which are described in the Metal sleeves no longer fit. Corresponding changes of the receiving basket cause high production costs, limit the loading logistics and the number of packable Fuel assemblies.
The invention has for its object a transport and / or To design storage containers of the type mentioned in the introduction that with it also the defective fuel elements and Fuel rod transported defective fuel elements and / or can be stored without the grid of the basket to change.
The solution to this problem according to the invention consists in that at least one metal sleeve as a jacket for a sleeve the immediate reception of the defective fuel elements and / or fuel rods of such fuel elements are used is.
In other words, the invention is based on knowledge from that the previously known transport and / or storage containers for irradiated fuel rods also for the named special purpose can be used if the defective fuel elements and / or fuel rods defective fuel elements are reloaded into cans, the Jacket consists of the metal sleeves. That way it is possible intact and defective irradiated fuel assemblies as well possibly also defective individual fuel rods Transport fuel elements together in the container and to store.
For the further embodiment, there are within the scope of the invention more options. So is after a preferred one Embodiment provided that the jacket on is provided with wall recesses in the upper end Gripper elements of a sleeve manipulation device can be inserted are. The can itself has one at the bottom of the mantle fastened bottom and one on the upper end on the cover. This lid is preferably provided with a locking device, to be able to load and unload the rifle. Moreover it is recommended to use the bottom and the lid each to provide at least one opening into which Filter insert is used, in this way the included defective fuel assemblies and / or Dried fuel rods, especially vacuum dried become.
