Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

The inventive method for playback of multimedia files in a terminal with the features of the independent claim has the advantage that in the management of multimedia files Depending on the situation, audio files are played in order to allow a user to navigate blindly in the multimedia files. This is particularly interesting for a user in a motor vehicle, so that he does not have to focus visually on a terminal. This increases the comfort of the user, it is independent of a used language and a display is not absolutely necessary. According to the invention, at least a part of the audio files is generated by a user. This can be done, for example, textually via a manual input, by entering texts which are then converted into speech by means of a synthesizer or by the use of a microphone by the user himself indicating the text. In addition, he must also specify the situation in which this audio file is to be played. Simple menu navigation makes it much easier for such users to make such inputs and thus to generate such an audio file.

The measures and refinements recited in the dependent claims make possible advantageous improvements of the method for reproducing multimedia files in a terminal.

Furthermore, it is advantageous that the multimedia data and / or the audio data are received by means of radio signals and then stored locally in the terminal. Thus, the audio data for managing the multimedia files is automatically supplied to a user by a broadcast provider or a wireless network operator. Advantageously, the broadcaster or the producer of the audio files can then provide them with advertising. In that case, it is no longer necessary for the user himself to create or obtain these audio files.

Furthermore, it is advantageous that the multimedia data are stored classified after they have been received. That is, additional information about the multimedia file is used to identify which class this multimedia file belongs to. Such classes are for example sport, news, weather or stock market. It can also be achieved by sub-classifications, such as news international, local or different sports football, athletics a finer classification. This is then automatically performed and recognized by the processor of the terminal.

Moreover, it is advantageous that these audio files and / or multimedia files are given a priority and are stored or deleted after this priority. In the event of a shortage of storage, audio files and / or multimedia files with a low priority are deleted earlier, thus maintaining the operation of the terminal.

It is of particular advantage that digital broadcast signals such as DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting), DRM (Digital Regio Mondial) or DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) are used as the radio signals. With these digital broadcasting signals, in particular, the transmission of multimedia files is extremely simple, since by means of the used frame structure almost any multimedia objects can be transmitted.

Moreover, it is advantageous that there is a terminal for carrying out the method according to the invention, which has a memory for storing the multimedia files and the audio files, an input device for managing the multimedia files, a loudspeaker for reproducing the multimedia files and the audio files, and a processor for decoding the Multimedia files and the audio files under situational playback of the audio files in the management of multimedia files has: In this case, the terminal may have a radio station for receiving the multimedia files and audio files, or then be designed as a digital radio receiver.

Beschreibungdescription

In bestimmten Situationen, beispielsweise bei einer Benutzereingabe sollen nun erfindungsgemäss vordefinierte Audiodateien abgespielt werden, dadurch erhält der Benutzer ein direktes Audiofeedback seiner Handlungen.DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a broadcasting technique that provides the listener with ready-made radio programs. An extension are personalized variants. This multimedia objects, preferably audio files are broadcast locally stored in the radio receiver and played offline to user preferences. Navigation within these multimedia objects takes place, for example, via a Remote control, as it is already known from navigation and car audio equipment or by control buttons directly on the device. In certain situations, for example in the case of user input, predefined audio files are now to be played according to the invention, thereby giving the user direct audio feedback of his actions.

FIG. 1 shows a block diagram of an inventive terminal, which is designed here as a radio receiver. Alternatively, it is possible that the terminal is formed without a radio receiver or a mobile device is present, as it is known from UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System). In particular, such mobile devices are designed for the mobile reception of multimedia objects. The inventive method is particularly suitable for such mobile devices.

An antenna 1 is connected to an input of a high-frequency receiver 2. An output of the radio-frequency receiver 2 is connected to a first data input of a processor 3, which is connected to a memory 4 via a data input / output. Via an output, the processor 3 is connected to an audio amplifier 5, which drives a loudspeaker 6. Connected to a second data input of the processor 3 is a signal processor 7 which processes input signals from an input device 8. To a third data input, a signal processing 9 is connected, which processes signals from a microphone 10. Via a data output, the processor 3 is connected to a signal processor 30, which controls a monitor 31. The monitor 31 may be formed as an LCD or as a plasma screen or in another known display technology. Alternatively, it is possible that instead of a high-frequency receiver 2, a transmitting / receiving station is present or is completely dispensed with a radio reception and worked only with stationary data available.

The multimedia files are received by means of the antenna 1 and the high-frequency receiver 2 as broadcast signals, amplified and converted into an intermediate frequency and digitized. The processor 3 recognizes the received multimedia files and stores them according to a classification in the memory 4. The memory 4 may be a hard disk, a smart card or other rewritable memory such as a semiconductor memory. This local storage can be done here in a directory structure, which at the main level has folders for sports, news, weather and stock market. Other subfolders split the mentioned topics even further. Navigation within the classifications takes place z. B. with the input device 8, which are designed here as arrow keys. The monitor 31 can thereby give the user a visual feedback about the currently current class, so for example display messages or messages locally. In this case, the monitor 31 is formed as a single-line display. Other classification can be used here almost arbitrarily by appropriate specifications.

Navigating the folders now gives the user audio feedback tied to specific situations. Such situations include, for example, selecting a folder such as messages. The audio files associated with this folder, which are intended to make the user's administration easier, then indicate which folder (for example, messages) it is in, whether there are any items, if there are no items, if there are any new items, yet belonged to elements in this folder or how many items are stored in this folder. Other possibilities are conceivable here. These audio confirmations may alternatively be in addition to the textual output.

When arranging the multimedia files in a directory structure, this can be done by an Index.mp3 object in the respective folder. This is automatically played when the folder is selected. Another possibility is to name the audio file after the classification itself, ie messages lokal.mp3 and call them if necessary. This need is recognized by the processor 3 and depends on the manual selection by means of the input device 8. This index object may be encoded in mp3 or other audio encoding format, such as MPEG 1, 2, 4, layer 1 through 3, ACC or text-to-speech.

The device according to the invention now makes it possible to allow blind operation since the audio files indicate to the user in which folder he is located. This can be extended to the effect that the audio files specify which audio files or multimedia files are stored here, so that ultimately a list is created in the respective audio file. This can be done automatically by the processor 3.

This system is then independent of the language used and dynamically expandable, since the content of the audio files is produced or sent by the broadcasters alone, or is generated by the user. The general listening impression can be improved so that these texts come from a human speaker, so they are not produced by artificial language. Such texts may possibly be linked with advertising messages, for example "News sponsored by Bosch". By using priorities for these audio files, it is possible for a small amount of memory to separate from low-priority audio files. If all files, including the multimedia files, are assigned priorities, it is also possible that multimedia files may be deleted.

FIG. 2 shows a block diagram of the inventive method for reproducing multimedia files in a terminal. In method step 11, multimedia files are stored in the memory 4. These multimedia files are either received via radio signals or dubbed by a user by means of a memory. They can also be generated by microphones and video cameras. In method step 12, classifications of the multimedia files are made based on marks in the multimedia files, ie they are assigned to individual folders.

In method step 13, the individual folders are assigned to the audio files that are played during the selection of the folders as a function of the situation in order to allow the user to use the device in a blind manner. Method step 14 is now the management of multimedia files by a user. The processor 3 then detects situations in method step 15, such as the selection of a specific folder. If there is then a corresponding audio file, then in step 16 this audio file is played in order to give the user an audio feedback about his action. This allows blind use for the user. If a predetermined situation is not detected in step 15, then no audio file is played back and it jumps back to step 14 to continue the multimedia file management.

FIG. 3 shows a second block diagram of the inventive method. Here, in method step 17, the reception of multimedia files and audio files by means of digital broadcast signals is explicitly achieved. In method step 18, these received files are then classified on the basis of their brands and stored accordingly. In method step 13, as described above, the assignment of the audio files to the individual classifications takes place. In step 14, the user performs the management of the multimedia files. In method step 15 it is checked whether a situation is detected. If this is the case, then in step 16 the corresponding audio file is played, in order to then return to the management of the multimedia files. If such a situation was not detected in the management of the multimedia files in method step 15, then the method jumps back directly to method step 14 in order to continue the management of the multimedia files.
