Claims (32)

  1. A control member equipped with a button (1) which is intended for rotary manipulation about a first axis and may be at least rotated about at least one secondary axis, within a plane perpendicular to the first axis, by resiliently pressing on at least one localised site in the vicinity of the edge of the manipulating button (1), and an electrical circuit (10) equipped with components which are suitable for switching in dependence on the forces applied to the button (1), which is integrally formed with an actuator (6) which transmits the manipulating movement imparted to it to the said components, which are disposed on one face of a carrier of an electrical circuit (10) facing the said button (1), the transmission being effected by way of at least two parts forming an interface between the said actuator (6) and the said circuit (10), on the one hand a rotor (8) fixed in rotation with the actuator (6) along the first axis, the mechanical connection between them being provided to allow relative displacements along the secondary axis or axes, characterised in that the interface is on the other hand a board (7) having resilient means (23) for connection to the electrical circuit (10), which are disposed substantially in alignment with the peripheral bearing sites.
  2. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the electrical circuit carrier is a printed circuit board.
  3. A control member according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fixed board takes the form of a thin plate from which there project pins parallel to the first axis and the number whereof corresponds to the number of peripheral bearing sites, the said pins projecting at least from one side of the board and being disposed at the free end of at least one flexible tongue for each bearing site made in the board, the tongue or tongues being made from a resilient material allowing them to return to the rest position after the pins have been acted upon.
  4. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that there are two superposed flexible tongues for each bearing site.
  5. A control member according to either of Claims 3 and 4, characterised in that the board has means for guiding the actuator towards the pins.
  6. A control member according to one of Claims 3 to 5, characterised in that the board has in its central zone a complex aperture formed by a number of converging radial slots which is at most equal to the number of pins/tongues disposed at the periphery, these slots extending in the direction of these.
  7. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the number of radial slots is equal to the number of pins, and in that the said slots extend in the direction of the said pins.
  8. A control member according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it has means of indexing the rotary position of the rotor.
  9. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the board has on one side, at the periphery immediately adjacent to the ends of the said slots, a ring of elevations and depressions cooperating with a protuberance projecting from the rotor.
  10. A control member according to Claim 8, characterised in that the rotor has a ring of elevations and depressions, cooperating with a resilient finger disposed such that it is fixed in relation to the structure of the control member.
  11. A control member according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the rotor has a central housing delimited by a cylindrical partition disposed on a base formed by a planar plate.
  12. A control member according to one of Clams 7 to 11, characterised in that the actuator has a central shaft disposed along the first axis of rotation and having dimensions such that it can be guided in the slots made in the board, and having a perpendicular disc whereof the radius is such that, when the connection element is manipulated along a secondary axis, this disc can exert a force on the peripheral pin or pins of the said board, and it rests on these in the absence of a manipulation of this kind.
  13. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the central shaft and the disc are integrally formed with one another.
  14. A control member according to either of Claims 11 or 12, characterised in that an end portion of the central shaft is adapted with radial play within the central housing of the rotor, the said portion being limited by a collar forming an axial stop in contact with the partition, the radial play enabling the shaft to be displaced in angular manner with respect to the secondary axes, means moreover being provided for fixing them in rotation with respect to the first axis.
  15. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the partition is cylindrical and the end portion of the connection element has at least one radial peg capable of being inserted into a notch made in the said partition in order to fix them in rotation.
  16. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the said end portion has two opposing radial pegs inserted into two diametrically opposed notches in the partition.
  17. A control member according to Claim 12, characterised in that the central shaft and the disc are fixed in rotation and free in translational motion.
  18. A. control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the disc is guided, on rotation about secondary axes, between the board and a plate separating the button from the other elements of the control member, and the central shaft passes through this.
  19. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the plate on which the button is located and the board each have a dome whereof the apex is pierced in order for the central shaft to pass through, the said domes being coaxial and forming a space in which the disc is guided, equipped on the one hand with radial ribs with rounded ends on its face opposite the said plate, and on the other by a domed recess on the other face, the said rounded ends and the said recess each being curved in a manner corresponding to that of the dome opposite them.
  20. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the dome of the wall on which the button is located and the domed recess of the disc have at their base an annular elevation having an outer surface whereof the shape is provided to be adapted respectively to the rounded part of the ribs and the dome of the board.
  21. A control member according to any one of Claims 17 to 20, characterised in that the central shaft has grooves adapted to axial slides of an axial conduit passing through the disc in order to block their rotation and allow them to be guided in translational motion, the said conduit having a stop limiting translational motion in the direction of the button.
  22. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the disc has two tabs which are oriented parallel to the aperture for guiding the central shaft and are housed in notches made in the partition of the rotor in order to fix them in rotation, with the respective dimensions of the tabs and the notches allowing angular displacement about secondary axes of rotation.
  23. A control member according to one of Claims 17 to 22, characterised in that the free end of the central shaft bears against a thruster guided in translational motion inside the inner partition of the rotor, and having at least one tab capable of passing the base of the rotor in order to actuate at least one switch, the rotor having at least one aperture for this purpose, a spring being provided to return the said thruster and the central shaft to the unactuated position of the switch or switches in the absence of axial force on the button.
  24. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the thruster has a surface substantially perpendicular to the axis of the central shaft and two lateral tabs guided in slides made in the inner wall of the partition such that the said thruster may be pushed into the said partition by the action of the central shaft, the spring being interposed between the said circular surface and the base of the rotor.
  25. A control member according to one of Claims 17 to 24, characterised in that the free end of the central shaft is hemispherical.
  26. A control member according to one of Claims 11 to 25, characterised in that a second coaxial and cylindrical partition on which there is located a boss cooperating with the indexing ring of the board is also integrally formed with the base of the rotor.
  27. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the base of the rotor has, associated with its face opposite that having the partitions, means for cooperating with components, contacts or tracks of the electrical circuit, intended to perform at least one switching operation during rotation along the first axis, and allowing at least one tab of the thruster to pass.
  28. A control member according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the said means are formed by a conductive plate having at least one conductive member projecting from the plane of the plate, capable of sliding at least temporarily on tracks of the electrical circuit in order to switch the condition of at least one contact of the said circuit.
  29. A control member according to any one of Claims 3 to 28, characterised in that the electrical circuit has switches disposed beneath the pins of the board.
  30. A control member according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the electrical circuit has means for magnetically detecting displacement of the control member, for example based on Hall-effect sensors.
  31. A control member according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the electrical circuit has means for optically detecting displacement of the control member.
  32.
