Pièce d'horlogerie comprenant une roue de vingt-quatre heures (123456.50) ayant trois dents longues (6.40, 6.50, 12.41) emmenant une roue de quantième (1.60) supportant une série de rouages dont les dents sont mues par les dents longues de la roue de vingt-quatre heures, de sorte que la date soit automatiquement ajustée et indiquée pour tous les mois longs ou courts. Cette pièce d'horlogerie permet un ajustement en avant et en arrière de la date, du jour, du mois et de l'année bissextile par la couronne de remontoir.
