Claims (1)

  1. A method of producing a tamping tine (4) for tamping a track, characterized by the following method steps:
    a) casting a pad casing (9) of wear-resistant steel, having an opening (11),
    b) filling up the pad casing (9) with a core matter (10), thus closing the opening (11) by forming a contact surface (15), and
    c) welding a rim zone (17) of the core matter (10) to a rim zone (18) of a tine shank (8).
