Abstract

Device (1) for dispensing liquids that comprises a support surface (2) on which is located the receptacle (4), from where the liquid will be dispensed, with a folding cover (3) that allows said support surface to be closed at the top. Said support surface prevents possible spills or drips from being able to emerge to the outside, whilst the folding cover prevents the entry of rainwater into the device.

Description

  • The present invention relates to a device, for dispensing liquids, of the type placed on top of a means for storing liquids and with a conduit for the passage of the liquid.
  • A number of means are known for transferring liquids from one receptacle to another. In some applications such as, for example, the storage of liquid waste, it is customary to use a container that receives said liquids originating from smaller receptacles. In such cases, conventional means for dispensing liquids may be inconvenient and unsafe, since, during the dispensing process, possibly hazardous or polluting leaks or spills of said liquids frequently occur.
  • The object of the present invention is to provide a device for dispensing liquids without the drawbacks mentioned above.
  • The invention relates to a device for dispensing liquids that comprises a support surface, on which the smaller receptacle from where the liquid will be dispensed is placed, with a folding cover that allows said support surface to be closed at the top.
  • The support surface with the folding cover allows safer and more convenient dispensing of liquids than in the case of existing devices, preventing possible spills or drips from being able to emerge outside.
  • A further advantage of the device is that the folding cover prevents the entry of rainwater into the liquid-storage system that will often be located out of doors and therefore exposed to the elements.
  • Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will emerge from the detailed description given below, with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
  • Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the device that is the subject of the present invention, located on a liquid-storage means;
  • Figure 2 shows a front view of a preferred embodiment of the device that is the subject of the present invention, located on a liquid-storage means;
  • Figure 3 shows a side view of a preferred embodiment of the device that is the subject of the present invention, located on a liquid-storage means;
  • Figure 4 shows a plan view of a preferred embodiment of the device that is the subject of the present invention, located on a liquid-storage means;
  • Figure 5 shows a front view of said device;
  • Figure 6 shows a side view of said device;
  • Figure 7 shows a top view of said device;
  • Figure 8 shows a rear perspective view of said device;
  • Figure 9 shows a front perspective view of said device in use.
  • Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 show the device 1 of the invention when it is located on a means 5 for storing liquids. Figures 5, 6 and 7 show said device 1 in greater detail, with a support surface 2, a folding cover 3 and a conduit 6. Said figures also show the releasable means 9 for fastening to the means 5 for storing liquids and the stop 12 for said folding cover.
  • As seen better in Figure 3, the support surface 2 preferably has a certain slope with respect to a horizontal plane.
  • The folding cover 3 may be articulated in the inner part of the support surface, where it may have a stop 12 that limits the rotation of said cover 3.
  • Figure 5 makes it possible to see, in front view, the filter 8, for solid particles, that may be mounted on the device.
  • Figures 6 and 8 also show the bung 7 that may cover said conduit 6 at the top when it is open to the outside at the top. This configuration of the conduit 6 allows the introduction of means (not shown) for emptying the means 5 for storing liquids.
  • Figure 9 shows an example of the use of the device 1 of the invention. We can observe that the receptacle 4 is placed on the support surface 2 and, owing to its dimensions, may be sited in the hollow formed by said surface 2 and the cover 3. In the case of receptacles 4 of larger size, the cover 3 may act as internal stop.
  • Figures 1, 2 and 3 each show views of the assembly in which it can be seen that the means 5 for storing liquids is partially covered in its lower part by a lower vessel 10 that allows a certain intermediate clearance. Said vessel 10 has at least one opening 11 that allows the introduction of means (not shown) for emptying it.
  • Advantageously, the liquid-storage means on which the device 1 is located may be a container of 1000 l capacity that may therefore be reused.
  • Although one embodiment of the invention has been described and shown, modifications included within the scope thereof may obviously be introduced into that embodiment and the invention should not be regarded as limited to said embodiment but solely to the content of the following claims:
