Abstract

The system incorporates a normal door lock with a handle (1). The handle may be moved downward to open the door. There is a rectangular cover or box (2) containing an alarm mechanism. It has a baseplate (4) which moves on a slider (3) attached to the door by screws (6).The handle touches the box as it is turned and pushes it downward, sounding the alarm. There is an aperture (5) in the front of the box with a catch.
