Abstract

In a control apparatus for a passenger conveyor, an operation mode is switched by means of a mode switching circuit, in accordance with information from a passenger detecting device. Status of the operation mode switching control performed by the mode switching circuit is selectably switched between a first switching control status and a second switching control status, by a control status switching unit. In the first switching control status, the operation mode is switched among a stop/standby mode, a low speed mode and a transportation mode.
