Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Eichung oder Nacheichung eines Umrechnungsfaktors (Web-Encoder-Resolution), mit dem zur Bestimmung einer von einem Bedruckstoff in einer Druckmaschine, insbesondere einer elektrophotografisch arbeitende Druckmaschine, zurückgelegten Wegstrecke Takte eines Drehwinkelgebers (7) (Web-Encoder), welcher den Vortrieb des Transportbandes (2), vorzugsweise die Drehung eines rotierenden Antriebselementes (5) für das Transportband (2), signalisiert, in ein Längen maß umgerechnet werden.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren der genannten Gattung aufzuzeigen, das mit hinreichender Genauigkeit zeitökonomischer und vorzugsweise auch automatisiert durchführbar ist.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß die bei der Bewegung über das Maß seiner Längserstreckurig eines in seiner Längserstreckung bekannten oder anderweitig gemessenen Abschnittes des Transportbandes (2) anfallende Anzahl Drehwinkelgebertakte ermittelt und zu der bekannten Längserstreckung ins Verhältnis gesetzt werden.
