Abstract

Figure 00000001
The current acoustic ambient situation is identified in a signal processing part (8) of a hearing aid (1) which has a signal analysis unit (9) and a signal identification unit (10). On the basis of this identified environmental situation, the parameter set belonging to the identified environmental situation is automatically set in a transmission unit (5) in which a number of parameter sets that are assigned to different acoustic environmental situations are stored. The hearing aid wearer can adjust his or her individual hearing request according to the automatically set parameter set for each acoustic environment by means of an input part (11). The parameters of this parameter set are adjusted simultaneously and together in one of two opposite directions, for example in the sense of "better understanding" or in the sense of "more pleasant hearing".
