Bei der Erfindung sind alle Pressstempel und/oder Matrizen eines Satzes mit einer Kodierung versehen. Diese Kodierung weist mindestens folgende Informationen auf:
- Kennung des Satzes von Pressstempeln bzw. Matrizen
- individuelle Kennung jedes Pressstempels oder jeder Matrize
- Daten zur kritischen Bemessung des Pressstempels oder der Matrize
- Betriebsdauer.

Die erste Kennung betrifft den Typ des Presswerkzeugs bzw. der Matrize. Insoweit besteht Übereinstimmung mit dem vorstehend beschriebenen bekannten Satz von Pressstempeln. Im bekannten Fall braucht eine solche Kennung lediglich bei einem Pressstempel eines Stempelsatzes vorgesehen zu werden. Bei der Erfindung tritt jedoch für jeden Pressstempel bzw. jede Matrize eine individuelle Kennung hinzu. Jeder Pressstempel bzw. jede Matrize hat mithin innerhalb eines Satzes eine individuelle Kennung, die allein diesen Stempel auszeichnet. Als weitere Information tritt hinzu die kritische Bemessung des individuellen Pressstempels bzw. der Matrize. Bei Pressstempeln ist vor allen Dingen ihre Länge von Bedeutung, weil die Steghöhe einer Tablette bzw. die Presskraft durch die Länge des Pressstempels beeinflusst wird. Wird zum Beispiel bei einem im Betrieb befindlichen Pressstempelsatz ein Pressstempel ausgetauscht und durch einen vom Hersteller zur Verfügung gestellten anderen Pressstempel ersetzt, ist dieser neue Pressstempel ebenfalls mit einer Kodierung versehen und enthält eine Angabe über seine genau vermessene Länge. Durch Gegenüberstellung der einzelnen Stempellängen ist eine Neusortierung der Zuordnung von Ober- und Unterstempel möglich, um die gewünschten Parameter für die Tablette konstant zu halten.The first identifier relates to the type of the pressing tool or the die. Die weitere Information bezüglich der Betriebsdauer ist insofern von Bedeutung, als üblicherweise Pressstempel bzw. Matrizen nur eine vorgegebene maximale Standzeit aufweisen, die abhängig von den Einsatzbedingungen ist, und nach deren Ablauf die Pressstempel ausgewechselt werden müssen. Durch ständig wiederholtes Ablesen der Informationen aus allen Pressstempeln eines Satzes lässt sich automatisch in Erfahrung bringen, an welcher Position des Rotors der Tablettiermaschine ein Pressstempel oder ein Pressstempelpaar bzw. eine Matrize ausgewechselt werden muss.The same applies to the matrices, as stated for the press dies.
