Abstract

This is a straightforward device used to connect handles to flat plates, which is simpler and easier to assemble than regular versions. The plate has two small holes positioned in diametrically opposite positions with respect to the main central hole, and another pair of small holes positioned around the centre hole, at a lower level than the first holes and spaced from them. The rotating part includes the formation of an end cylindrical section, which is the continuation of an intermediate cylindrical section that has a larger diameter. The first section has a perimeter groove next to its free end, that can house a retention setscrew when connected to the flat plate's centre hole. The end cylindrical section on the rotating part can have two helicoidal springs connected, whose ends are housed in the lower holes on the plate. A cover for both springs has been contemplated, which has two snugs that fit to the aforementioned small diametrically opposite holes.

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • The present specification refers to an application for an Utility Model, regarding a coupling arrangement for smooth crank discs, whose obvious purpose is to permit its use in any crank disc, independent from the fact that it has very narrow dimensions, since this arrangement may be coupled over laminates having a thickness of 0.3 mm up to crank discs having a thickness of 4 mm without the need to mortise the housing or cavity to hide the spring.
  • FILED OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention has its application within the field of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of equipment, devices and auxiliary components for door opening and closing.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The applicant is unaware of a coupling arrangement for smooth crank discs having back motion that may be adapted over a plate with a minimum thickness up to plates with substantially greater thickness.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The coupling arrangement for smooth crank discs proposed by the invention is configured as an evident novelty within its specific field of application, on incorporating the feature of being shaped as a polyvalent coupling arrangement over smooth crank discs independent from plate thicknesses.
  • More specifically, the coupling arrangement for smooth crank discs object of the invention, is constituted as from a plate, over which a circular perforation is made, the plate having two pairs of perforations aligned next to the central perforation of the plate, then carrying out the coupling of a cylindrical part provided with two lugs emerging from diametrically opposite points, emerging from the lower area and having an extension next to a cone trunk, performing the coupling of these lugs over two perforations located at equidistant points from the central perforation of the plate, to gather in its interior, two springs that will be fixed by their emerging ends in the two remaining perforations, next to the central perforation of the plate, but in its lower area.
  • Surrounding the springs coupled inside the cylindrical body with the trunco-conical protrusion, there is an extended part having a lower cylindrical area with a perimetric choking at its end. Said area is used to act as a direct support of the springs or band-irons, with a central area of this part emerging outwardly and adopting a central cylindrical and trunco-conical shape in the upper end, which is adjacent to the part where the springs or band-irons are coupled inwardly, having in the end area, a bell-shaped configuration, or next to it, in which the activation handle of the invention is incorporated.
  • Summarising, independent from the plate thickness, the springs or band-irons remain hidden inside the body described, mobilising the handle in a conventional way.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • To complete the description being made and to permit a better understanding of the features of the invention, the present specification is accompanied by, as an integral part thereof, a set of drawings which with an illustrative and non-limiting character show the following:
  • Figure 1 shows an exploded view of the object of the invention regarding a coupling arrangement for smooth crank discs.
  • Figure 2 shows a partially broken-down view of the assembly made as from the parts shown in Figure1.
  • PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
  • In the light of these figures, it may be observed how the coupling arrangement for smooth crank discs is constituted as from a plate (2) having a circular perforation (3) located in a suitable point of its surface, which on two equidistant and centred points with respect to the perforation (3), is provided with two perforations (4), as well as two perforations (4') transversely located as well as the perforations (4) but located in the side part of the lower area of the circular perforation (3) situated over the plate (2).
  • Through the perforation (3), the end (10) of the part (7) is introduced, adopting the shape of a cylinder and provided, in an area next to its end, with a throat or perimetric choking (11), provided in the central area with a cylindrical area (9) having a trunco-conical protrusion in the upper part finished in the upper part by a bell-shaped protrusion (8).
  • Over the external zone of the area (10) derived from the part (7), two band-irons or springs (12) and (12') are coupled, having a general helicoidal shape and provided with a protrusion emerging in a semi-vertical descending direction, introduced in the perforations (4'), indicating that previously coupling of the part (5) had been made in the area (10) perimeter of the part (7), the trunco-conical configuration remaining coupled over the lower area of the cylindrical area (9), the part (5) having two vertical protrusions (6) and (6') located in opposite points, which are introduced in the perforations (4) achieving the natural immobility of the band-irons or springs (12) and (12'), the part (7) remaining immobilised together with the part (5), springs (12) and (12') over the plate (2) by means of a stud rivet (13) located in the rear part of the plate (2).
  • In this way, it is achieved that the handle coupled in the bell-shaped end (8) may mobilise the action of the coupling arrangement for smooth crank discs independent from thickness (2).
  • It is not necessary to extend this description further, for any expert in the matter to understand the scope of the invention and the advantages derived from it.
  • The materials, shape, size and arrangements of the components may be varied provided this does not involve a change of the essentiality of the invention.
  • The terms in which this specification has been written should always be interpreted in the widest and non-limiting sense.
