Abstract

The device has a combustion chamber (5) formed between a piston (9) and a cylinder head (7). An injection duct (19) leads combustion gas into the chamber, through longitudinal and lateral orifices at one duct end (19A).   4. Device according to Claim 3 comprising a second of the said orifices (191) directing some of the combustible gases in a direction parallel to the plane of the piston (9).
