The invention relates to an incandescent electric lamp comprising at least:
  • a filament comprising at least one section comprising windings arranged in a spiral around an axis of revolution, and a secondary part connected to the section by means of a spacer; and
  • a metal current supply rod, the secondary part being attached to the metal rod through the spacer.

Such a lamp finds application, for example, in a stage lighting system.

ETAT DE LA TECHNIQUE ANTERIEURESTATE OF THE PRIOR ART

Such a lamp is marketed by the applicant under the reference 6995Z. In such a lamp, the filament is composed of several sections arranged in two planes. Two metal rods electrically connected to two of the filament sections and an external electrical circuit allow power supply of the lamp. These two metal rods, have at one end a hook oriented around an axis of revolution and are electrically connected to the two sections by two spacers that are inserted into the hooks of the metal rods. Each spacer is thus in contact with the hook of a metal supply rod at an attachment point depending on a curvature of the spacer.

Such a spacer is obtained by momentary interruption of a spiraling to obtain the windings of the filament during manufacture of the filament. This interruption of the spiraling is a delicate operation which leads to a curvature of the random spacer, that is to say that the point of attachment can be located to the left or right of the axis of revolution of the hook of the metal rod. However, the Applicant has found that during an assembly operation of the filament and the metal rods of power supply, an insertion of the spacer in the hook of a metal rod is particularly difficult when the point of attachment is located on one side of the axis of revolution of the hook, and easier when the point of attachment is on the other side, this side depending on an orientation of the hook.

However, in a lamp of the type marketed under the reference 6995Z, the two metal supply rods are symmetrical. Therefore, when the the point of attachment of a spacer is located on one side of the axis of revolution of the hook to which it is connected and that the point of attachment of the other spacer is located on the other side of the axis of revolution of the hook to which it is connected, the assembly of the filament in the lamp is difficult.

However, even in a case where the two feed rods are asymmetrical, a similar problem occurs when the two attachment points are located on the same side of the two axes of revolution of the hooks of the metal supply rods.

Such a situation leads to a relatively high assembly time as well as to the risk of filament failure.

An incandescent electric lamp as defined in the opening paragraph is also known from the patent document EP0358061 . This document describes in particular a lamp with a power supply rod and a filament. The rod is attached to the filament by threading the rod into the space formed by the windings of a portion of the filament.

EXPOSE DE L'INVENTIONSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An object of the invention is to facilitate the assembly of a filament in an incandescent lamp. In particular, the invention aims to provide a lamp having another, and preferably an improved bond between the rod and the filament.

According to the invention, an incandescent electric lamp as defined in the opening paragraph is characterized in that the spacer comprises at least two windings stretched in a direction parallel to the axis of revolution of the section, and that the rod metal includes a hook to which the spacer is connected.

By the term "drawn" is meant that the windings of the spacer have between them a spacing greater than a spacing of the windings of the section or the secondary part. For example, the spacing between two windings of the section may be 0.2 millimeters and the spacing between two windings of the spacer of 2 millimeters.

The spacer comprising at least two windings has at least two possible attachment points on the metal power supply rod. At least one of these attachment points is located on one side of the axis of revolution of the hook to which the spacer is connected, such that the insertion of the spacer into the hook is easy. Thus, the assembly of the filament in the lamp is facilitated.

The invention also facilitates the assembly of a filament in a lamp of the type marketed by the applicant under the reference 6995Z and described in the state of the prior art. Indeed, if only one of the two spacers comprises at least two windings, a placement step allows to place the other spacer, during the assembly operation of the lamp, so that its point of attachment is on one side of the axis of revolution of the hook to which it is connected, such that the insertion of the spacer into the hook is easy. The spacer comprising at least two windings will then necessarily have at least one attachment point located on the side of the axis of revolution of the hook to which it is connected, such that the insertion of the spacer into the hook is easy. Therefore, the assembly of the filament in the lamp is facilitated. If the two spacers comprise at least two windings, they necessarily each have at least one attachment point located on the side of the axis of revolution of the hook to which it is connected, such that the insertion of the spacer into the hook is easy . Therefore, the assembly of the filament in the lamp is, in such a case, facilitated and does not require the necessary placement step when a single spacer comprises at least two windings. Such reasoning is valid for both symmetrical and asymmetric feed rods.

EXPOSE DETAILLE D'AU MOINS UN MODE DE REALISATION DE L'INVENTIONDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AT LEAST ONE EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

The Figures 1a and 1b illustrate a lamp of the prior art. A description of such a lamp makes it possible to understand a problem solved by the invention.

Such a lamp comprises a first filament section 100, a second filament section 101, a first secondary portion 102, a second secondary portion 103, a first spacer 104, a second spacer 105, a first metal supply rod 106 comprising a first hook 106a, a second metal supply rod 107 comprising a second hook 107a, bridges 120 and 121 connected by metal bars 122 and 123, supports 124 and filament loops 125. The first section 100 has a first axis of revolution 110, the second section 101 has a second axis of revolution 111. The axes of revolution of the hooks 106a and 107a are substantially merged with the first axis of revolution 110 and the second axis of revolution 111. Thereafter, it will be considered that the axis of revolution of the first hook 106a is the first axis of revolution 110 and that the axis of revolution of the second hook 107a is e second axis of revolution 111. The filament comprises four sections situated in front of a plane formed by the supports 124. The first section 100 is one of these four sections. The filament includes also four sections located behind a plane formed by the supports 124. The second section 101 is one of these four sections.

Il en est de même pour la deuxième entretoise 105.To manufacture such a filament, a tungsten wire is coiled to obtain the first secondary portion 102. The spiral is then interrupted to obtain the first spacer 104, then resumed to obtain a long spiral portion, then again interrupted to obtain the second spacer 105 and finally taken to obtain the second secondary portion 103. The long spiral portion is then folded into eight sections separated by the loops 125, and the filament thus obtained undergoes a heat treatment for stabilizing such a configuration in sections. To electrically connect the first section 100 and the first metal rod 106, one could simply insert one of the windings of the first section 100 in the first hook 106a. But the heat treatment tends to weaken the filament, so that such an operation could break the filament. This is why the first spacer 104 is necessary. It is the same for the second spacer 105.

However, the first and second struts 104 and 105 are made such that they have a random curvature. When this curvature is to the left relative to the axis of revolution of the hook to which the spacer is connected, as is the case for the first spacer 104, the insertion of the first spacer 104 into the first hook 106a is easy. Indeed, it is sufficient to place the first spacer 104 and the first secondary portion 102 to the right of the first hook 106a, to shift the first spacer 104 forwards, then to the left and finally to the rear so that it inserts into the first hook 106a.

During such an operation, the first secondary portion 102 does not strike the first metal rod 106. But when the curvature of a spacer is to the right with respect to the axis of revolution of the hook to which the spacer is connected, as this is the case for the second spacer 105, the insertion of the second spacer 105 in the second hook 107a is difficult. Indeed, when we shift the second spacer to the left, ie to the right on the figure 1a or backwards on the figure 1b the second secondary part 103 strikes the second metal rod 107. Thus, in order to insert the second spacer 105 into the second hook 107a, it is necessary to apply an additional force to the second spacer 105, which risks breaking this second spacer 105.

The Figures 2a and 2b illustrate a lamp according to a first embodiment of the invention. Such a lamp comprises elements identical to those described in the description of the Figures 1a and 1b . However, in this first embodiment, one of the two spacers comprises at least two windings stretched in a direction parallel to the axis of revolution of the section to which it is connected. In the example shown on the Figures 2a and 2b , the second spacer 105 comprises two windings stretched along the second axis of revolution 111. Such stretching can be obtained by applying a traction force directed along the second axis of revolution 111 to the long spiral part obtained by spiraling the tungsten wire. This force is applied before the heat treatment so as to obtain the second spacer 105 composed of two filament windings, one on the left, the other on the right of the second axis of revolution 111. It can be applied before or after folding the long spiral part.

Such stretching can also be obtained by modifying the spiraling at the level of the second spacer 105. Indeed, during the spiraling, it is possible to adjust a spacing between two successive windings of the filament. It is therefore possible to define a larger gap for the two windings constituting the second spacer 105.

In the example shown on the Figures 2a and 2b , the insertion of the filament into the lamp is carried out as follows. A placement step first allows to insert the first spacer 104 in the hook for which insertion is easy. In this example, the point of attachment of the spacer 104 lying to the left of the axis of revolution of the first hook 106a and to the right of the axis of revolution of the second hook 107a, the first spacer 104 is inserted into the first hook 106a since this insertion is easy, as explained in the description of the Figures 1a and 1b . The second spacer 105 now necessarily having a point of attachment to the left of the axis of revolution of the second hook 107a, its insertion into the second hook 107a is also easy.

The Figures 3a and 3b illustrate a lamp according to a second embodiment of the invention. Such a lamp comprises elements identical to those described in the description of the Figures 1a and 1b . However, in this second embodiment, the two spacers comprise at least two windings stretched in a direction parallel to the axis of revolution of the section to which it is connected. Such stretching is achieved as described in the description of Figures 2a and 2b .

In the example shown on the Figures 3a and 3b , the two spacers 104 and 105 each comprise two windings stretched along the axes of revolution 110 and 111. Each of the spacers 104 and 105 comprises a point of attachment located on one side of the axis of revolution of the hook to which it is connected. , such that the insertion of the spacer into the hook is easy. Thus, the insertion of the filament into the lamp is easy, and the necessary placement step in the lamp illustrated on the Figures 2a and 2b is useless.

The above description with reference to the figures illustrates the invention rather than limiting it. In this regard, some remarks are made below. The Figures 2a to 3b illustrate examples of implementation of the invention. The filament used is a tungsten filament obtained by spiraling a tungsten wire. Of course, other materials can be used to manufacture such a filament, since these materials can emit light when traversed by an electric current.

On the Figures 2a and 2b , the filament shown has several sections of substantially equivalent lengths, arranged in two planes. Of course, it is possible, without departing from the invention as defined in claim 1, to use filaments having different configurations, for example filaments comprising a number of different sections, for example a single section, or lengths of sections differing from one section to another.

The Figures 1a to 3c illustrate a lamp having two metal feed rods including a hook. The invention also applies to a lamp having a different number of metal feed rods including a hook, including a lamp comprising a filament whose one end is welded to a metal rod and another end is attached to another rod metallic feed through a fastening system as described in the invention.
