Abstract

Zur möglichst exakten Drehzahlbestimmung einer Welle (1), an der umlaufend eine Anzahl von abtastbaren Signalgebern (SG) in äquidistanten Geberpositionen (n) angeordnet sind, werden Zeitintervall-Kennwerte (T(n)) der von aufeinander folgenden Signalgebern (SG) abgegebenen Signalimpulse (SI) ermittelt, wobei einer Geberposition (n) im Bereich einer Geberlücke (GL) der für einen um einen vorgegebenen Winkel (α) periodisch versetzt angeordnete Geberposition (n) ermittelte Kennwert (T(n)) zugeordnet wird. Eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens umfasst eine Rechnereinheit (8) mit einem Zähler- und Timermodul (7,9) und mit einem Auswertemodul (11), dessen selbstlernender Algorithmus jeder Geberposition (n) im Bereich der Geberlücke (GL) einen während einer winkelversetzten Lernphase ermittelten Kennwert (T(n)) zuordnet.
