Definitions
- the present invention relates to a connection device for connect to a ruler block. It applies in particular to networks of telecommunication whose lines are composed of pairs of wires of copper.
- the slide blocks are connecting devices allowing connect the incoming wires to the outgoing wires of lines or cables.
- Blocks strips are composed of modules arranged on a wiring surface. Modules are often arranged in rows and / or columns on this area. Each module includes a connection connection for connect the incoming wires to the wires coming out of a line.
- the wiring surface allows easy access to wires to test lines for example.
- Ladder blocks are widely used in telecommunication whose lines are composed of pairs of wires of copper. They are found in particular in the distributors, the sub-distributors and the points of concentration.
- the wiring surface of a ruler block allows you to define a boundary between incoming and outgoing wires strip. This boundary makes it possible in particular to define responsibility between interconnecting telecommunication operators their networks.
- DE 4042306 A discloses a device for connectable connection to a terminal block, the device comprising connecting means connectable to at least two lines of the connection block.
- a first solution is to use a line multiplexer present on the site, already connected to the lines, and to return the lines to a test output. The test equipment can then be connected to this test output. However, such line multiplexers are not installed on all sites. It is then necessary to use another solution.
- the invention aims to solve these problems, and in particular to connect successively a set of lines to an equipment and this so simple, safe, fast and economical.
- the switch and the means of connection are arranged to ensure the continuity of the lines cut by the breaking means, and not connected to the equipment by the switch.
- the breaking means are formed by cut-off plugs, said cut-off cards being intended for inserted in modules of said block, said block block being a block cut-off strip.
- the means of connection are formed by conductive lines printed on the sheets at break.
- the means of connection are formed by conductive rods.
- the connecting device in the event of a power failure, does not cut the lines.
- the switch is composed of relays, the rest position said relays ensuring the continuity of the lines.
- the switch is a switch controlled by a signal, the connector making it possible to establish a connection between the equipment and the connection device for transmitting said control signal.
- connection device being intended to connect to a type of strip block whose number of modules is determined, the number of connection means of said device for connection corresponds to the number of modules of said pad block, of way to connect all the lines connectable to said strip block at switch.
- connection device designed in accordance with the present invention has a number of advantages. Since such a device can be temporarily attached to a ruler block, it is possible to use a single device for testing the lines connected to several ruler blocks. In addition, the fixing of the connection device does not require any wiring or neither dismantling. As a result, it can be fixed in milliseconds (by clipping for example), which avoids a too long interruption of service. In addition, it avoids introducing wiring errors. Being given that the connection device has a structure that does not use interconnection matrix, but a switch, its cost is reduced.
- Line 110 is composed for example a pair of copper wires.
- One end of this line 110 is connected to a first filter 101 placed in a subscriber 100.
- This first filter 101 allows to separate the low frequencies from the high frequencies (ie the data channel) transmitted together on line 110. It is described now an example of linking this first filter 101 to equipment placed at the subscriber 100.
- the high frequencies corresponding to the data are routed to a modem 104.
- This modem 104 which can be an ADSL modem (acronym for an asynchronous subscriber line, initials of the English expression "asynchronous digital suscriber line), performs digital-to-analog conversions and analog / digital.
- the modem 104 can be connected to a computer by a broadband digital line 103.
- the low frequencies, corresponding to the channel, are routed to a telephone over a telephone line conventional.
- the other end of line 110 is indirectly connected to a second filter 230 placed in the premises of the operator.
- the second filter 230 can be placed for example in a main distributor room 200, comprising a main distributor 220.
- the line 230 is first connected to a first block strip 221, which can be a cable head, then to a second strip block 224, and finally to the second filter 230.
- the slider blocks 221 and 224 are elements of the main distributor 220.
- the second filter 230 makes it possible analogous to the first filter, to separate the low frequencies from the high frequencies.
- the low frequencies from the second filter 230 are routed on a line 250.
- a first end of the line 250 is connected to the second filter 230.
- the second end of this line 250 is connected so indirectly to a switch 240 placed in the same room 200 as the main distributor 220.
- the line 250 is first connected to a first block strip 222, then to a second strip block 223, and finally to the automatic switch 240.
- the slider blocks 222 and 223 are elements of the main distributor 220 for manually making closures or openings telephone lines (transmission of the channel). These blocks are called strips of the return slider blocks.
- the high frequencies from the second filter 230 are routed on a line 210.
- a first end of the line 210 is connected to the second filter 230.
- the second end of this line 210 is connected so indirect to equipment 340 of a second operator, such as a DSLAM (acronym for multiplexer access to digital subscriber lines, initials of the English expression "digital suscriber line access multiplexor ”) for example, ie an array of ADSL modems.
- DSLAM acronym for multiplexer access to digital subscriber lines, initials of the English expression "digital suscriber line access multiplexor ”
- line 210 is first connected to a first block 321, then to a second block strip 322, then optionally to an interconnection matrix 330, and finally to DSLAM.
- the ruler blocks 321, 322 may be elements of a second splitter 320.
- the interconnection matrix 330 is a second operator equipment. 350 test equipment from the second operator can be connected to this interconnection matrix 330 by a return line 310.
- the second divider 320 can be placed in a hall 300, called collocation room, in which are also placed the equipment 330, 340, 350 of the second operator.
- the first operator is responsible for the quality of transmission on the lines 110, 250 and 210.
- the second operator is responsible for his network, starting at block 322.
- block 322 is a line of responsibility between the two operators. he is therefore desirable for the first operator to connect to the blocks strips 223, 225 and 321 for example to test the lines respectively 250, 210 and 110. It is desirable for the second operator to connect at 322 pad block to test the continuation of line 110 which is under his responsibility.
- the interconnect matrix 330 allows the second operator to connect his test equipment 350 to the pallet block 322. However this solution is complex and expensive.
- connection device can be used in place of the interconnection matrix 330 for example. It can be used also for connect mobile test equipment (not shown) temporarily on the slide blocks 223, 225 and 321.
- FIG. 2 represents an example of a block 400.
- a direct base (x, y, z) shown in this figure allows to orient the space.
- the y axis is vertical.
- the ruler block 400 has a shape substantially parallelepipedic.
- the front 410 of this block, placed in a pan vertical (x, y), is the wiring surface.
- the wiring surface includes modules arranged in rows and columns. In the x direction, it's up to say online, the wiring surface includes 8 modules for example.
- the 8 modules of one line may constitute an independent element of the block strip 400, several independent elements 411, 412, 413 being assembled together vertically to form a ruler block. Good heard, a ruler block can also be monobloc.
- the wiring surface includes 16 modules per examples.
- the ruler block 400 comprises 16 lines of 8 modules, such as lines 411, 412 and 413.
- Each module includes a connection connection to connect the incoming wires to the wires coming out of a line.
- the block strip 400 allows to connect 128 lines, ie 256 wires (a pair of wires per line). There are 256 incoming and 256 outgoing sons, or 512 son to connect to the maximum on this block 400 block.
- the ruler block 400 may comprise lateral accesses accompanied by wire guidance systems, called grommet channels. These channels pass-wires used to guide the expansion of the wires to be connected from one side from the ruler block 400 to the modules.
- the ruler block 400 comprises for example lateral accesses, that is to say say in the plane (y, z), on the left side 420 for example.
- the ruler block 400 may comprise lateral accesses on the right side 430.
- the lateral accesses 431, 432, 433, placed on the right side allow for example to guide incoming wires over lines of modules 411, 412, 413.
- FIG. 4 shows a section in the plane (y, z) of the first module.
- the connectors 510, 511 disposed in view of the 414 slot are extended inside the module by blades flexible hoses 530, 531. These flexible blades are in contact with contact 532, 533. This contact between the flexible blades 530, 531 therefore allows to connect the connectors 510 and 511.
- the incoming wire 500 is connected to the outgoing thread 501.
- the incoming thread 501 is connected to the outgoing thread 502 (not visible on this cut).
- FIG. 5 which is shown in FIG. same plane of section as in FIG. 4, the insertion of a cut-off card 540 in the slot 414 of the first module.
- the breaker 540 includes a material a layer of insulating material 542. It is inserted into the slot 414 in the direction 546 (corresponding to the z axis). This has the effect of laterally move flexible blades 530, 531 in opposite directions 544, 545. The contact between the flexible blades 530, 531 is thus cut. Thread incoming 500 is no longer connected to the outgoing wire 501. Similarly, the incoming wire 501 is not more connected to the outgoing wire 502. The insertion of the cut-off plug therefore makes it possible to cut the line connected to the first module.
- the breaker can have a pair of conductive strips printed on each side of the insulation layer 542 to establish 4 contacts with the flexible blades of a module.
- the conducting strips 541, 543 are intended for contact contacts 532 and 533 respectively. Of this way, it is possible to derive the line connected to the module by simple insertion of form 540.
- connection device 600 is intended to be mechanically fixed to the ruler block 400 shown in Fig. 2.
- the direct base (x, y, z) shown in Fig. 2 is taken on this figure.
- the connection device comprises a housing 601 intended to be fixed mechanically without wiring or dismantling at the surface 410 of the strip block.
- the surface 610 of the housing 601 can be plugged onto the surface of wiring 400 of the block 400.
- surfaces 610 and 410 are facing each other.
- a first side 630 of the housing is on the left side 420 of the ruler block.
- the other side of the housing 620 is on the right side 430 the ruler block.
- the connection device 600 further comprises a switch (no shown), which is connected to the connector 602. This connection allows to route at least one line of the switch to the connector 602. This line can be routed to the 350 test equipment when it is connected to the connector 602. The switch is thus connected first son of the cord 603 when the cord is connected to the connector 602.
- connection device 600 further comprises means for connection. These connection means are attached to the housing 601 and connected to the switch. They allow to connect at least two lines of the block ruler 400 to the switch. To this end, they establish contacts, without cabling, when fixing the housing 601 to the block 400.
- connection device 600 on the strip block 400 makes it possible to connect the connection means to the lines of the block 400.
- switch is connected to the connector 602, to which equipment is connected. The switch makes it possible to establish a temporary connection, between two commutations, between on the one hand least one line of said block 400, and secondly the test equipment 350 via the connector 602.
- a switch control can be placed on the housing 601 by example to choose a line of the block 400. It is thus possible to connect successively all the lines that are connected to the block ruler 400 to 350 test equipment, in a simple, fast and safe.
- connection device 600 furthermore comprises cutting means.
- These cutting means are attached to the housing 601. They allow to cut the lines to be connected to the switch. For this purpose, they electrically isolate, without dismantling, the wires incoming wires out of said lines. This operation is carried out during fixing (plugging for example) of the housing 601 to the block 400. By therefore, when fixing the housing 601 to the ruler block 400, the cut-off means cut lines, and the connection means connect these lines to the switch. Unplugging the device connection 600 causes the continuity of lines to be restored telephones connected to the terminal block 400.
- a first advantage is that it is possible not only to connect a equipment to a line of the ruler block but still to return some of this line (incoming part or outgoing part). This allows you to perform echometry measurements at one end of the line (either the incoming side or the outgoing).
- the connection device 600 makes it possible to select one or several telephone lines among the lines connected to the ruler block 400, and send them back to the 350 test equipment.
- the cord 603 includes at least two pairs of first line leads. It is possible also to connect the serial test equipment on one of the wires of a line to test. The cord 603 can then comprise a single pair of first line son.
- the means of cut-off can be a 612 breaker.
- This breakout 612 is intended to be inserted into a slot of the cut-off block 400 of the as illustrated in FIG. 5 (insertion of sheet 540).
- the breaker 612 includes a base 700 attached to the housing 601. This base 700 supports an insulating tongue 701. The base 700 serves as a stop when setting the connection device 600 on the ruler block 400.
- Connecting means formed by conductive lines 710, 711, 712, 713, can be on this form 612. They are printed in pairs on both sides of the insulating tongue. Thus the conductive lines 710 and 712 are printed on one side of the tab, and the lines 711 and 713 are printed on the other side.
- the lines 710 and 712 make it possible to connect the connection device 600, more precisely the switch, to the incoming wires of a line for example.
- the conductive lines 711 and 713 make it possible to connect the switch to outgoing sons of the same line.
- connection means can be formed by conductive rods 720, 721, 722, 723. These conductive rods may be spring nails for example, the realization of which is known of the skilled person. These stems are arranged next to contacts on the ruler block. For example, these rods are arranged opposite connectors of the strip block 400 shown in FIG. 2.
- connection device 600 corresponds to the number of modules of the block 400 to which it is fixed, so as to connect all the lines connectable to said block regulator switch.
- the connection device 600 includes 128 cut-out cards on which are printed with conductive lines ( Figures 7 and 8). These cards are arranged on 16 lines, 8 sheets per line. Each sheet is intended to fit into a slot of the ruler block.
- the cards 612, 613, 614, 615, 616, 617, 618, 619 of the first line 611 are inserted into the slots of the first line 411 of modules of the ruler block 400.
- FIG 11 shows, according to an advantageous embodiment, an example of switch 800.
- the switch 800 is connected to lines 801, 803, 805, 807. For the record, these lines are connected to switch 800 via the connection means of the connection device 600 when the connection device is mechanically fastened to the ruler block 400.
- the switch includes relays 810, 812, 814, 816 on the one hand and the relays 811, 813, 815, 817 on the other hand, to which the lines are connected 801, 803, 805, 807. Indeed, the lines comprising a pair of wires, two relays are needed per line. For example the 801a and 801b wires of the line 801 are respectively connected to relays 810 and 811.
- the relays 810 to 817 are also connected to an output line 809.
- This line of output 809 connects the switch 800 to the test equipment 350 via the connector 602 (see Figure 6).
- the 809 output line includes two wires 809a and 809b.
- Wire 809a is connected to relays 810, 812, 814, 816.
- the wire 809b is connected to relays 811, 813, 815, 817.
- Relays 810 to 817 are also connected to a control wire 820.
- This wire 820 allows to send control signals from the test equipment 350 to relays. These control signals make it possible to operate a pair of relay to connect one of the lines 801, 803, 805, 807 to the line 809.
- relays 812 and 813 can be operated to connect respectively the son 803a and 803b son 809a and 809b.
- connection device 600 comprises breaking means
- these cutting means divide the lines into input lines on the one hand and exit line on the other hand.
- These cutting means divide the lines initially referenced 801, 803, 805, 807 in input lines 801, 803, 805, 807 (referenced in the same way) and in output lines 802, 804, 806, 808.
- the relays can then be arranged so as to be inserted between the input and output wires of the lines. So the 802a and 802b of line 801, corresponding to 801a and 801b of line 801, are respectively connected to relays 810 and 811. In this way, the relays 810 and 811 are inserted between the input leads 801a and 801b of line 801 and output leads 802a and 802b of line 802. The relays 810, 812, 814, 816 inserted between the lines 801, 803, 805, 807 on the one hand, and the lines 802, 804, 806, 808 on the other hand.
- relays 811, 813, 815, 817 are inserted between lines 801, 803, 805, 807 on the one hand, and lines 802, 804, 806, 808 on the other hand.
- the relays When the relays are not operated, they restore the contacts cut by the breaking means.
- the switch and the connection means are arranged to ensure the continuity of the cut lines by means of cut, and not connected to the equipment by the switch. So, the connection device 600 makes it possible to test telephone lines in this cutting that line in test, while leaving continuity on all of other lines.
- the rest position of the relays leaves the relays in the same condition as if they were not operated.
- the relays can be RT type for example.
- the rest position of said relays ensures the continuity of the lines.
- the switch can be made with other components than electromechanical relays. It can be composed of switches elementary electronics instead of relays for example.
- the switch it is possible to realize the switch to allow to return two lines and not a line as shown in this example. he For this purpose, it suffices to double the number of relays for example. this allows in particular to connect the test equipment 350 in series.
- the invention applies to any type of line and not simply to lines consisting of two copper wires. Any material Conductor can be used instead of copper. The number of threads in a line can be different from two (one or three sons for example).
- connection device can be used to connect other equipment than test equipment. he can be used in other areas.
- this connection device can be used in cable television networks, networks buildings, and electricity distribution networks.
